Note: This thread was proposed by Walk In Shadows, who gave others permission to make the thread.

A Show has existed since 2013 but has only 10 non-Administrivia wicks, compared to B Show, which has 152 wicks. There are only five examples on the page. It is only being used as a trope on one page, WWE Raw.

Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.

Paging ~Walk In Shadows since the thread was their idea.

Anyway, I'm leaning toward cutting; maybe we can Yard any salvageable ideas.

I think, with only 11 wicks total, just cutting it is my preferred solution.

Just cut it. If it wasn't too common of a word I'd consider redirecting wtih B Show.

Merging is fine too.

Send it to TLP or yard it.

Cut and yard any salvageable ideas.

I'm pretty sure this was created without TLP too based on the history.

[up] I think it's 12 votes needed? Technically you're the 10th vote.

Yeah, it's usually 12-15. I'd wait for more posts to come in.

Ehhh, feels tropeworthy to me. Maybe it can be merged with B Show somehow to describe the entire concept?

Maybe merge it with B-show and just have the page describe both. (Apparently, there's a derogatory C-show as well)

I've meant to say that I'd prefer moving parts of the description (not sure about examples) to B Show, so clarifying now.

I feel like these were created to be wrestling specific, but they don't need to be / aren't IRL. This is essentially the concept of cards just for wrestling. I know this from boxing and you can click the link to read more, but for a card system, you have the most important / hyped fight be the main event and then you have lesser matches be undercards that lead up to it. In other words, the A Show and the B Show. That page discusses the concept in other pro sports like racing.

Given that though, this does make me question the trope worthiness of these tropes.

[up] Maybe the card system is worth a Useful Notes page?

I doubt it personally, I just wanted to see if there was a way to salvage this concept.

Perhaps, though when I hear about carding in sports, I think of cards the referee busts out.

Given wrestling's particular nature, the A Show and B Show concepts are more akin to A-movies and B movies.
