Has existed since 2011, but there are only 13 wicks. That means Starving on Wick, so it's not performing well enough. I vote cut.

We had a bit of the backlog clear up, and this looks to be a quick one, so opened.

I'll second a cut, as long as we are putting the phrase into Other Stock Phrases as well.

On one hand, I do think Sent The Wrong Kind Of Person (the redirect) is tropeworthy outside of a stock phrase. On the other hand, the page is entirely about the stock phrase. I'm fine with punting this to Other Stock Phrases.

I'm okay with putting this on Other Stock Phrases and then moving the redirect title to the Salvage Yard.

I'm also good with yarding the redirect title.

I'm a bit leery about cutting stock phrase tropes, mostly due to No New Stock Phrases.

That rule is exactly why stock phrases are okay to cut- because they're not tropes. If they're not thriving they never will.

As I mentioned in another thread, the fact that stock phrases aren't tropes (and aren't protected by a Grandfather Clause) is why Stock Phrases Are Not Tropes is a redirect to No New Stock Phrases.

What? I don't understand your logic here. You don't want to cut another stock phrase because they're not allowed in TLP anymore? Are you saying we need to keep a consistent number of tropes in a given category, and that you don't want to cut this because you can't launch something else to replace it?

Anyway, easy cut is easy.

Look, Imperial. If you have a solid argument against cutting this trope, say it. But all you've done so far is argue against the decision with weird non-points. You obviously don't like it when things get cut from the wiki since you keep insisting things get archived and kept, but we cut things that harm or add no value to the wiki and you haven't explained how this does add value to the wiki.

Well, it looks like we're operating under different mentalities. You ask "what does this bring to the wiki", I ask "does this harm the wiki"? If that's the wrong way to look at things, maybe I should just stay out of these discussions.

At this point, it's for the best if you have nothing substantial to pitch. Better Know When to Fold 'Em if you don't want to cause any more headaches.
