I don't think the pic there is all that illustrative. Subliminal Seduction is about hidden messages in works. A fake video game from Cracked literally called "Soviet Hypnosis" is hardly "subliminal".

I think an IP thread wouldn't be out of the way.

EDIT: Previous thread. Semi-recent too—maybe a thread wouldn't be a great idea? The argument there was that this was a parody, but I personally am not feeling it, so there's that.

EDIT 2: I don't even remember participating in that thread, but apparently I did. I stand by my "pull" vote for the record.

I'm open to suggestions, but satire or text-heavy still seem like the only options and I favour the former. I think clearly illustrating "subliminal" is impossible by definition.

I think Peter and maybe Cleveland^note but the latter definitely feels like a stretch. are well known enough to not be Fan Myopia, but even if it's understandable out of context it's a pretty weak image. Just three guys pointing guns at each other.

The main page is BUPKIS, so that should tell you how difficult this trope is to illustrate properly.

It instead tells me that the main trope is on Image Pickin' Special Cases while the subpage has an image, so it's it gives me another reason to thread it.

Is The Starscream's pic explanatory enough? I know it's the Trope Namer and I think it might be trying to go for a Traitor Shot, but I'm just getting smug vibes rather than traitorous ones. I could even mistake Megatron for the traitor given how he seems to be looking back kind of ominously.

That one was selected here. I'm probably showing my bias since I've been a Transfomers fan since the G1 days, but I think the pic/caption combo works well enough for it to be a solid Keep Until Better Image Suggested case.

As someone who isn't a big Transformers fan, I agree with you that your argument is myopic.

Question: why is Panty Shot on "Don't change the pic" under the reasoning that we're not allowed to show an actual one, yet we do just that on Panty Fighter?
