Disambiguating Works / Subpage Collision Discussion

Hellfire (commonly spelled "hellfire") displays as Hell-Fire due to Literature.Hell Fire. Is this ok to keep? (Also pinging ~crazysamaritan who made the work page)

I thought it was only occuring for HellFire. If not, then we will need to "remove" the custom title.

Could be disambiguated as Literature.Hell Fire 1956.

Or Literature.Hell Fire Asimov

Maybe Literature.Hell Fire Isaac Asimov, if we want to be more specific.

It's one of those cases where the custom title applies to one capitalization:

I vaguely recall this being the reason I needed to move Film.CODA 2021 from Film.CODA and Main.Coda so just checkin'.

Film.Crime Story needs to be moved to Film.Crime Story 1993 and Series.Crime Story needs to be moved to Series.Crime Story NBC if we do not want subpages to collide. We can keep the original links as redirects for now.

Alternatively, Series.Crime Story 1986. Its run was short enough that the year won't cause any problems.

At least Bands are easy. Unless some other Band has taken the name too. It's a obvious "edgy?" name? Full of violence and anger?

Actually that is true, let me see if there is any more.

Actually there are a bunch of other One Piece fanfics named Revenge but the author's name Lord Stingdingdingdingdingworth is to long to use as a disambig so I have no idea what to do.

(Lord) Stingdingdingdingdingworth is only ~35 characters. It should be fine. The limit is 64, after all.

That looks like a solution in search of a problem.

1. The page itself is not so long that the books need to be split away, especially with all the ZCE on it.
2. It looks like they are published with subtitles on various outlets so they may not even need disambiguation to begin with

If the pages don't exist, there's no need to think about disambiguating.

I respectfully disagree. I would actually prefer if pages which need disambiguation were able to be split as soon as we know that there are multiple works of the same name.

Something which can easily be checked by redlinking the instalment and seeing what comes up, or searching the title on google.

I am also of the opinion that if one series entry is disambiguated, it then becomes necessary to disambiguate all of them, like I did with Halfway to the Grave (Night Huntress #1) and its sequels. At least when it comes to novels.

In this case, though, if there are subtitles, they should be used.

I am not sure how good of an idea that would be. There are a lot of works out there most very obscure so it's likely that every single title has been used more than once.

A lot of single word titles and titles borrowed from common phrases have multiple works under the same name for instance. I just don't think it's worth the work to preemptively move pages and wicks and use Main/ to make disambigs for a single work when there's no need to do so yet.
