Welcome to HGS: Another Side Another Story. It is a roleplay spinoff for the Hunger Games Simulator forum game, akin to both the RP's in the Roleplaying section as well as the ITTs in Forum Games. It tells the story of the Hunger Games in the Arena of Panem, the nominators who sent the tributes, the tributes themselves both in and out of the Arena or even other people relevant to the Games. In addition, it also tells their stories beyond the Arena.
You can jump right in with any character, like your nominator self, your tributes, etc. The structure of this RP will be open-world. Don't worry about not being skilled/experienced enough or being new to RP'ing. Finally, ASAS accepts any skill level or RP style. Other than these, there are some important rules to note, which are:
- No godmodding will be allowed or tolerated here. The offending player will be given punishment depending on the severity.
- Please communicate anything important you plan on another player with the said player first. Don't just execute it without their consent.
- Don't be rude to other players, both out and in-universe. This extends to RP offenses like railroading, guilt-tripping, coercing, or other forms of forcing them.
- This RP is related to the Hunger Games Simulation:Beyond the Possibilities forum game. Thus it will have events based from that game, including the tributes. This means if you want to RP as tributes, please nominate them officially on the thread first, with misses not being counted. This has to be done after an incident with a player who hasn't joined the game itself yet.
- Since this RP is Loose Canon in relation to the main HGS thread, the host's interpretation of events isn't necessarily 100% canon. Every player has the right to deviate from what the host says and go with their own interpretations. If multiple players have their tributes involved in the same event(s), please communicate with each other so that you're on the same page regarding how you see them.
- This RP chronicles the lives of the nominators and their tributes behind the scenes. While dark plots are acceptable, the overall tone of the RP should be light-hearted and comedic. This RP is not a Cosmic Horror Story or action story about defeating evil. It is a Slice of Life comedy with some adventure to it, first and foremost. Our previous RP, Convergence, is not representative of the intended tone, and the grimdark tone of that RP is one of the main reasons it was retooled.
- Nominators and tributes alike can transform into Pokemon whenever they enter a Pokemon Mystery Dungeon World (but they can bypass this with certain items/methods or shapeshifting) or via other means outside it such as a season event, Transformation Trinkets, or shapeshifting. The players are free to choose the Pokéforms that best suit their characters and even give them color schemes outside the standard and Shiny colors, but there is a hard rule for this. If you want your character's Pokéform to be a Legendary, Mythical, or Ultra Beast, please ask the RP mods for approval. Outside the Arena, these Pokéforms are still OP, but we want to give leeway for tributes who theoretically can have them such as deities.

Detective Gamechanger's Base
A sharp-dressed man in a green suit and yellow tie is standing by the entrance of the base. He is of average height and has whitish skin, though still a bit darker. He is Billy, one of the nominators and the organizer of the party.
Indeed, after the nominators' returned and settled their problems, they decide to have fun with a party. Billy also sent invites for all the other nominators out there, as well as basically anyone else, including tributes, non associated parties, interested nominators who haven't participate yet, or even those who just wants to hang out.
The place itself in the base is refurbished for party purposes. Fancy chairs and tables are set everywhere for people to relax, as well as put food and other objects for the latter. There's also various collections showcased, including those belonging to the Detective, like his classic cars. Various themes to the base are set too, including detective noir as GC would have preferred.
Billy is now awaiting for other guests to arrive. He is also ready to give them a pleasant surprise during the party pertaining to his nation.

Ruler of Everything
Neon
"I agree that some of us should head to the Neon Quarters. We should forward this to Tabby and the others."
She gives the Basement Team a message about what Scipion's tributes had said.
"Finished."
Season
"Good idea Ally, do you know how to contain the spike? I don’t know what GC put for features of you."
She receives the message from Parallel Pecan.
"Parry had contacted me. It seems that some of the Patrol had come up with the idea of us splitting up again to investigate the Neon Quarters. Honestly I select myself to head to the Quarters as well. Any thoughts?"
Arena
The horn sounds and the two pokémon step off of their podiums. Soon, Cassiopeia gets into a fight with Tape and Crimson Wizard. She gets incinerated by the wizard. Charlotte looks around and finds her dead body, saddened by her comrade's death. Her body is then carried away by a Capitol Aircraft.
"We'll see each other soon, Cassie. Goodbye for now."
Then, Charlotte gets chased by Aragorn from the Cornucopia.
"SHIT SHIT SHIT! LEAVE ME ALONE!"
Charlotte finds a place to sit down and chill. In the distance, she sees two tributes fall into a trap. She quietly giggles.
"Ah, maybe that was for me."
She goes further into the dank forest. She finds Kiryu trying to take on Terminator and joins in. Two more tributes join in as well. She looks at Terminator angrily as he nervously googles if he can take them on in a fight.
"Come on and face us, coward!"
She gets bored and wanders off. She comes across...President Snow?! She has a malicious grin on her face and puts a sack on his head, dragging the president to her camp. She takes a camera and broadcasts the threat to the entire multiverse while holding a gun to his head.
"Good morning, Panem. I’ve successfully captured your precious president and will be dead in the next hour if you don’t give me 300,000 Poke so I can live out my biggest dreams."
A hour passes and the Peacekeepers don’t intervene.
"Fine then."
"Goodbye,bastard."
She pulls the trigger and blows his brains out. Blood gets everywhere. She cleans up herself up and goes along with her day.
"I’m not going to rub that shit in my hair like that idiot. Professionals have standards."
Watch
August and the others cringe at Charlotte's murder of President Snow but then get into a fit of laughter at her roasting Scipion on National Television.
"Wow,very brave of her to do that."
"True, but I am sad at Cassie's death. Quite a disappointment."
"Ehh, who cares? People die all the time."

"With all due respect to the older ones, I'll have to disagree. I think splitting ourselves even further may not be helping us in the long run. Whatever it is at the Neon Quarters, it's clearly powerful if it can create THAT cocoon and generate that amount of dark power. I think it's best for us to investigate the place as one, and not when it's foolish to do so," Lloyd says.
"Lloyd here does have a point. The mission calls for a group investigation, not a private or a small team investigation. And bringing reinforcements when we're this far into the mission may mess up the long game, as well, because they need to be brought up to speed, and even then they might not fully know what was happening. And an oblivious player may very well deviate off course, which tends to bear catastrophic consequences for us. I think we should go inside and help the guys down there, in case anything goes wrong in there, first. Then we deal with the Neon Quarters."
The Admiral sends his and Lloyd's words to the Basement Team as well.
Basement
"The energy spike? I say we help full time to assist dealing with whatever it is," Dave replies to Ally.
Tabby then announces the message from Parallel Pecan.
"I'm not sure if that's the best idea right now, considering what happened to us earlier," Fira says, speaking her thoughts.
"True. I say we deal with this first, then investigate the Neon Quarters."
Then he receives the new messages from Richardson about his and Lloyd's thoughts on the matter.
"If they want to help, then we should let them."
Ponyville, Sugarcube Corner
After a while, Mimi calms down a little. Starfall makes sure that she is well and calm before releasing her. At that point, he immediately collapses, feeling very exhausted.
"Oof! Don't worry about me, I'll be fine. That just took a lot out of me. I just need a little moment...." he says, closing his eyes. The ongoing conversation soon blacks out from his ears, and he falls asleep.
Ponhenge
Eventually, Carlos returns to his normal self. Claire's crew makes sure that all the eldritch magic is gone, and once they are certain, Zelda releases him from the chain. She collapses from the strain, but Link helps her get back up.
"You alright?" he asks her.
"I'm fine," she replies.
They listen on to the talk between Power and Carlos. So, if this rumor is right, the Cirno in the Arena must have been a clone, then. Carlos, unfortunately, doesn't take it well, and bursts into tears.
The pair approaches the two, and hugs the young kid as well.
"Oh, Carlos.... we're sorry about what happened. We really do. And.... If I have to imagine it, the real Cirno must have not taken the news well, either. I'm sure she was looking forward to it, but Mr. Billy must have been scared for her."
"From what I've seen and what Link described, she must be a loyal friend. I'm sure Mr. Billy just wanted to do his best to protect her, but.... we all have flaws. Even I have flaws. I was very insecure about my destiny and my place in a world facing a Calamity, and my father.... didn't exactly help me. He was a King first, and a father second, because he was as lost as I was. But.... it is what it is. Even if Cirno wasn't actually there, she will always be here," Zelda points to the boy's heart. "And you're a strong boy. Your parents should be proud they have a child like you, merits and flaws and all."
"Because they form who we are. We care about you, kiddo. Don't ever forget that."
Dave's Home Base
The first update begins. Hans watches as Henry and Ellie make their moves. He also now realizes about the presence of two other people from their multiverse: the pilot Charles Calvin, and the Warden of the Wall, Dmitri Johannes Petrov.
Seeing Charles make a shocking kill streak this early surprises him, that's to be sure.
Unknown
Yami is sitting in a meditating stance in somewhere unknown, surrounded by enormous trees. He hears Noire's request.
"As you wish," he says, before leaving to head into Billy's prison to free Akumo. Noire should have a good reason for this, even though it may end badly for her.... or Akumo. This should be interesting....
Kirby
The Winter's End, Basement
Ribbon then asks "Do you think we should explore this room?"
"Maybe, but that thing could be on the loose! Whatever it is." said Dedede.
When Dave tells the others about the others' assistance, Dedede and friends agree with him, but also agree that they should not split up to visit the Quarters.
Kirby, meanwhile, is exploring the place. He walks into one of the doors and finds some documents. He then shows the documents to the others.
The documents reveal information about unusual entities, though there are no pictures of them nor names designated to them. The documents claim that these entities could potentially threaten the country. There is also a log where someone, presumably the King in Yellow, claiming one of these entities is in the Winter's End and is attacking her staff. The last of these logs is her ominously warning the reader to stay away from the place, or to be prepared to face these entities.
"This doesn't sound good."

Paper gasps when yet another student enrolls at Tabby's.
"How can this be? Either she's lucky this season, or the courses she's offering are diverse enough to attract more students!"
"But isn't it that meep morp is more than just drawing and painting?"
"I know, but still..."
"Maybe you're just jealous of her..."
Paper laughs nervously. "Eh, not really... it's just that it'd be nice if more students visit us to learn visual arts..."
Tabby's Base
6k1 just stares at her phone speechless when Kiryu ties Sprout to his car and then drags her into clams, cheese graters, and educational radio while Flitwick smirks as he watches them and boasts about being an illiterate leader. The next day, the Charms professor tortures Debora with Crucio and kills her with an enchanted cherry before ordering Sprout to buy him lemonade from Kiryu.
With nothing she can do about them, 6k1 observes the team discussing about their strategy going forward. She agrees with Dave that sticking together's the best option, but still advises leaving at least 1-3 guards outside.
And speaking of Neon Quarters, I'm now well enough to join you there. Just let me know when you're headed there.
She goes back to watching the Games and sees Flitwick fighting Asmodeus, the Terminator, and the photocopier while ordering Sprout to make Muggle videos of Saxton Hale repeatedly being killed by dark magic. The next day, he converts Paper Mistake Buzzy Beetle, Mitu, and the fax machine into Death Eaters while the Energizer Bunny interviews Sprout at his talk show, suspicious of her.
"I knew it!"
The Winter's End, Basement
I used to be able to fly and shoot razor feathers in my previous model: Twilight Sparkle, Ally answers Tabby. When 6001 rebuilt me, she replaced some of my functions so I can emulate Toriel's fire attacks. I still retain my laser eyes and missile launchers, however, but since most of my functions are on the offensive, we need someone with restraining magic to prevent the spike from escaping.
She also agrees to sticking together for the rest of the mission and tells everyone about 6k1's decision to join them at the Quarters. She then follows Kirby to the next room, where he discovers the documents.
Could one of those entities be the source of the spike? she asks after scanning them.
Equestria
Sugarcube Corner
"Then I can get you started with obedience training," says Fauna.
As she takes out a clicker from her pocket, Starfall releases the rope and passes out. Mimi finally stops shooting her lasers and walks over to Starfall to heal him before nuzzling her owner.
"6k2," Fauna continues, "you should teach Mimi basic commands like 'sit', 'stay', and 'come' in 10-15 minute training sessions three times a day. When she obeys you, press the button of this clicker and then reward her with treats, and repeat this until she can follow you on command."
"But aren't treats counterintuitive since I have to control her appetite? I use them as bait and reward her with stickers instead."
"Then you also have to discipline her by giving her a firm 'no' when she's about to eat something she shouldn't or distract her with something else. Training would likely take several days or even weeks due to her somewhat stubborn personality, but over time, your bond with her will improve."
6k2 nods and turns to Mimi. "Sound good?"
The Starble says yes but makes a big yawn.
"Maybe we can start when Dupe fuses 6k1 with me after the mission..."
Ponhenge
Link and Zelda join in for the group hug and console Carlos over the Cirno clone. His tears come to a stop.
"Thanks..." he says before getting up. "And speaking of flaws, my little brother is confined to his wheelchair for life, but my parents still love him very much despite the struggles they had with raising him."
"Parents?" asks Power. "Where's your mom?"
"She works the night shift, that's why we don't see her often. But still, we supported Mikey in pursuing his hobbies, even if my classmates didn't like him at first. But when they realized what he could do with his inventions, they saw him as a good friend like me. And speaking of him, he's now working on the legs of his mobile suit!"
"Interesting! Can't wait to see it finished! As for me, my family has supported me despite my anxiety attacks, and I even overcame them thanks to Twilight! I still break down sometimes, but they're not as frequent as before and I just have to remind myself of my friends, like what Link and Zelda just told you."
Carlos smiles a little, but still feels unsure.
"I appreciate your kind words and all... but I'd rather believe that it was the real Cirno in the Arena."
He crosses his arms. "Ms. Hartmut? Can you please modify my memories as such after you wipe the ones of my transformation?"
"Are you sure about that?" she warns him. "Changing your memories is riskier than just erasing them. But in other news, I just called 6001 that your purification was a success, and she said that Sans will be on his way."

Tabby nods in agreement with everyone's opinions on the subject.
"Yeah, let’s go with Fira's stance on this. We should have a select few guard the place just in case."
Tabby checks on her school and sees that not one, not two but three students have taken classes there. She is surprised by this even though one of them was booted out of there.
"Oh my god! My school is quite the attraction! I hope Power isn’t too disheartened by the competition."
She notices the news from 6k1 successfully recovering.
"Wait, dear old Sixty is joining us for the mission soon? That’s great! I hope that Psyche can join us soon to help as well."
"Say Ally, how about you can go hit her up with my invitation to join us soon?"
Tabby goes ahead to look at the documents Kirby found.
"Weird, maybe this place is a trap. We should all stay on guard for any hostile entities listed here."
She strokes the blade of her rapier.
"Because I’ll be the last person they’ll see."

"So basically you say to reform with the basement team... Something we could have done instead of separating in the first place, duh." GLaDOS sarcastically said.
"As you wish." the Cloud of Darkness simply answered to the admiral.
Winter End, Basement
"Agree. The more we are, the quicker we will deal with whatever is lurking here." Mewtwo added.
"Same here. I may be wrong, but think these entities and the spark of energy may be one and the same..."
Dragonspiral Tower, exterior
After a well-deserved rest, the group was surprised when Reshiram and Zekrom took them outside of the tower.
"Where are you taking us?" Aaron asked.
"It appears the Fox of Death is about to strike again." Reshiram announced.
"What???"
"I think I know why... He only has one tribute left and may not participate in the upcoming Battle Royale. Of course, this pissed him off."
"But... But that's DUMB!!! That stupid manchild!!" Aaron protested, revolted.
"Please! Take us to where he is before he causes troubles again!!"
"This is why we were about to teleport you three where he would strike." Zekrom dryly said.
"Indeed. But before we proceed. Aaron, Alex, Tokage. Are you certain you are ready to face the Fox of Death and his acolytes?"
Aaron turned to his friend, waiting for their answers.
"You bet!! Let's kick his ass for good this time!" Alex exclaimed.
"The sooner it is, the better it will be." Tokage added.
Aaron smiled at his friends and turned to the legendaries.
"We are. Please watch for Proteus and Lucian while we are gone."
"As you wish. Good luck then." Reshiram gently said as a white light engulfed the trio. Aaron saw Proteus waving at them while Lucian approached the group.
"Good luck. Please be safe."
"We will. I promise." Aaron said, petting Lucian's mane one last time.
Near a village
"Pff... She's just angry that the Crimson Wizard killed her little friend. I'll be happy if Kuja could take care of her." Scipion grunted, watching the season.
"Well... She has a point..." Onox remarked.
"Please! Everyone's just pissing themselves when they see this. Besides, I have a mane, that idiot doesn't."
"Alright. Onox, prepare yourself." Scipion chuckled as Onox was about to charge at the entrance of the village, as the evil trio was in the forest nearby. But then, a glowing light appeared behind them, revealing the Rescue Squad.
"UH? WHO? WHATWHEREWHENWHY?"
The Zoroark quickly recognized the trio and cackled.
"EYAHAHAHAHAAA!! If it isn't my favorite trio!!! I thought you were busy training!!"
"You were planning to raid that village, didn't you?"
"Of course! Why? Do you intend to stop me? Can't you remember how it ended last time? Your friends were begging for me to spare you!!" Scipion mocked.
Aaron didn't answer, he and his friends going into a battle stance. Scipion giggled at this.
"Hehehehe... There'll be no nominator in my way this time."
"Unexpected... But welcome." Morgan added.
"It's about time we settle this." Tokage answered. Alex and Onox said nothing, glaring angrily at each other.
"Say... We aren't going to battle here?"
"Who cares?"
"There are people here. You wouldn't want them to mess with our battle?"
"As much as I would enjoy killing one or two people along, I have to agree with Tokage. Knowing you Scipy, you would hate if others join the fray."
"Tssk! You're annoying... Fine." Scipion grunted, rolling his eyes. The Zoroark summoned his trident and the two trios soon found themselves at the top of a mountain, with three levitating platforms. Scipion and Aaron were sharing the first one, Morgan and Tokage the second and Onox and Alex the third.
"Alright, that's done. Now, where was I...? Ah yes. You were asking me to finish you off for good." Scipion cackled.
"You could have done this earlier, you know." Aaron said, summoning his aura bone
"The Legion of Shit was far more important than you. And there was no way I was going to tear you apart in the middle of a party held by the nominators. This time, there are no promises, no one to stand in my way. I don't know what you learned with the Tao duo. But that'll be useless against me."
"We'll see about that..."
Ponyville
The Waterblight watched from afar. It gave one last look at Mimi and 6k1 before silently walking away.
"We shall meet again... They cannot wait to see how you will perform in the upcoming battles, as minor they shall be..."

6k1 tries not to freak out when Flitwick orders Sprout to fire a spell more powerful than Voldemort's strongest into the sky. As the Arena apocalypse happens, the Gamemakers quickly do their work to restore the Arena, then the Peacekeepers put her out of her misery. Flitwick, meanwhile, uses a charm to mess up Henry's spaghetti to vent his frustrations over his foiled plan, then has a "Kuja Happy Family Happy Hour" the next day.
The DM then receives a message from Ally that Psyche should join them in the mission, too. Again, she reminds the team of what Dave said against calling for outside help midway, but informs Psyche of the progress anyway.

The Admiral merely shrugs at PotatOS's words.
"If that's meant to be an insult, try harder. Besides, splitting up here wasn't my idea. And.... there's something down there."
"I'll go inside."
"So am I."
"I'll leave the droid commandos and the MagnaGuards here. Remember that we'll only call reinforcements when absolutely necessary, so if some of you wants to stay here just in case, feel free to."
The three then heads inside.
The Winter's End, Basement
The team receives word from 6k1 that she will soon join the mission as well.
"Really? You sure? If you are, then feel free to. We'll let you know when we get there."
Kirby then discovers information about certain entities which may have killed the staff. Do they have a connection with this energy spike?
"Hmm.... whatever it is, we should remain vigilant," Fira says, as she grabs hold of her sword.
"Definitely. We don't want to be its next meal, or whatever," Dave replies dryly, grabbing a gun from his pouch.
"Meal? Ew, no. I've had enough of those kind of creatures in my life," Link sarcastically says as he unsheathes his own sword and shield.
"I can see why," Ninten replies humorously as he takes his own baseball bat. "Reminds me of the old days...."
"I can see why, you dork," Ana tells him back, grabbing her old frying pan.
Equestria
Ponyville, Sugarcube Corner
After a short time, Starfall wakes up, feeling a little rejuvenated.
"Ugh.... remind me to.... never do that again.... I guess...." he says groggily.
He then looks around, and sees that 6k2, Fauna and Mimi are still talking. Deciding that he shouldn't wonder about what they need to do, he calls them to bid farewell.
"Well, then, I'll leave you guys to do what you need to do. Me, on the other hoof, I've had enough excitement for the day. I'm heading to the inn for a proper rest. Thanks for the extra heal though, Mimi; I appreciate it. See you real soon, I suppose," he says, before waving a hoof and leaving to head to the inn.

Link and Zelda listen on as Carlos and Power talk about their own flaws.
"Heh, I also used to be insecure back then. The people wanted to see a Hero. So.... I kept myself silent and stoic. Just to give others hope. For the longest time, I thought I had to act a certain way to be, well, worthy of being a Hero. A good friend of ours, Urbosa, helped me see that it's not the case."
"She was like the mother I lost when I was young...."
"Yeah. She taught me that heroes don't have to be all serious, stoic and infallible. Sometimes, it's okay that they like doing rock climbing or making bad puns."
"Sealiously?" Zelda asks, a cheeky smirk on her face.
"You've always been one of the few who actually liked to listen to those puns. So yeah, sealiously," Link replies back, grinning.
Carlos then requests for his memories to be changed in regards to Cirno.
"Carlos, if that's your choice, then we understand. We just want to know if you're absolutely sure about it. False memories, or forgotten ones, can be a blessing.... or a curse."
"I remember waking up in that Shrine of Resurrection. Being so close to death meant a long recovery, and by the time I woke up, I could remember nothing. Who I was, what happened to me, why am I here, nothing. When you don't remember the pain, it's a blessing. But, sometimes you remember again, and that feels like a curse. I wouldn't want my own memories to be changed. Once is enough. But if you want to do it, just know that there's still that risk. After all, our memories aren't simply here," he points to his head, "but also here," to his heart.
"Our minds may forget, but our hearts will always remember, isn't that the phrase?"
"Yep. So it's your choice. We accept it. Just always remember what we said."
Dave's Home Base/The Arena
As days pass, Hans continue to monitor Henry and Ellie's progress. Then suddenly Ellie sicced a Wolf Mutt after seeing Flitwick use a charm to mess with Henry's spaghetti. Henry himself, meanwhile, kills several citizens for unknown reasons.
"This is like Navi all over again," he says, half amused. "I wonder if she could make a good Auror. She did show some abilities in the Force back home...."
Then the next day, Ellie, now a Titan, encounters the Terminator, who is also a Titan.
"So you're here to try and terminate me?" she asks.
"Correct."
"Come and get me, then," she challenges him.
A battle soon begin between them. The Terminator is a deadly strong opponent, and while Ellie's agility, cunning mind and pragmatism makes her an almost even match, she's losing ground. Eventually, however, she sees a hat with razor blades and a smoke bomb nearby. She throws the bomb at the cyborg. After the smoke disappears, the Terminator looks at the spot Ellie is, only to discover that she is gone.
Suddenly, the cyborg is cut in half vertically. Its lifeless body falls to the ground, revealing Ellie, holding the razor hat. She grins at her victory.
"Fatality."
Hans sees this from the monitors with great interest. "Ellie could definitely be a good Auror, it seems," he murmurs, clearly pleased.
Then she somehow becomes Asmodius' hateful rival, to his confusion. On the Feast, she teams up with Saxton Hale and the HyperCam to kill Family Guy!Death.
Hans makes a note to keep track of her future development in the Arena, especially if she gets into the Hall of Fame.
The Hidden Dimension
Lady Babylon is meditating, when someone suddenly appears.
"What is it?" she asks irritatingly, unhappy to have her meditation disturbed.
A featureless being appears in front of her. "Do I know you?" she asks.
"Darkness. But you can call me Yami. I'm an old friend of Terminus, you can say."
"What do you want?"
He whispers something to her. After a while, she narrows her eyes.
"Why would I want to do that? Where's the favor in investing in this?"
He whispers something else to her. After that, she smirks. "We have a deal."
The magical bubble near her is now showing Billy's Tribute's Village.... and the Prison nearby. She eyes it with an evil grin.

She leaves in a huff and then the same gun she killed Snow with is pointed to her head.

The gun fires and falls to the floor dead. Her eyes roll back into her skull.

As Ellie finishes off Flitwick before he could use a charm on the Mutt, then kills the Terminator with a FATALITY, 6k1 gets flashbacks to when she missed out on the final Battle Royale in the OT. The season before that, she nominated Sans and Papyrus with Carlos and Mikey, respectively as two duo tributes, desperate to see them make the podium after Gabby got snubbed. But then they all died early, breaking her 221-season streak and driving her to tears.

6k1 snaps herself back and suggests to the patrol team to keep half of them outside.

6k2 and co. thank Starfall and say goodbye to him. Mimi then climbs up 6k2's back and curls up into her sleeping position.
"Aww..." says Fauna, "looks like she's tuckered herself out."
"Just like Pound and Pumpkin after a rough day of babysitting," says Pinkie, looking at the Starble with teary eyes.
"Thanks for everything," says 6k2 as she carefully takes out her wallet, "but how much do I have to pay for the damages? I only brought enough to pay the vet bill."
The two other ponies smile.
"Don't worry 6k2, I'll help you cover the payment, even if it might amount to around thousands!"
"And so will I! And if you need more money, you can just go to the bank down that street! It also has a money changer! And I'm sure you have a loooooooooooootta bits being the Database Manager!"
"Heehee, yep!" 6k2 checks her watch. "And I should have enough time to go to town hall after that to pay for it."
She hugs the two and schedules Mimi's vaccination with Fauna on her next visit, whenever it is. The purple unicorn also keeps the clicker, then packs up and says goodbye before going to the bank, pondering on what the Waterblight said about Mimi.

Zan Partizanne, after the whole thing, agrees to enter The Winter's End. She then joins the others, while Susie and Taranza bid farewell.
After the others enter, Kirby gets another message from Magolor. He says that the energy field is moving again, and it settled in a corridor not very far from the storage room they're in.
"It's close! Everyone, let's go there and show that whatever it is what for!"
Kirby then leads the others out of the storage room. Now they're in another corridor. After a lot of running, Kirby, his group, and the team arrived at the energy's supposed location... only to meet an empty corridor.
"But... there's nothing here!"
"That thing might be preparing for a sneak attack! Let's be quiet and look for the thing."
Suddenly, Ribbon felt an odd presence.
"Uhh, pals? I felt kinda... funny."
"Poyo..."
"At a time like this?"
"No... it's just, i think there's something that shouldn't be here..."
"Hey, uhhh, i'm having a funny feeling too!" said Dedede.
"Now that you've mentioned it, i do felt something's watching us!"
Right after Bandana Dee said that, their surroundings shift. Kirby and his friends are now in a surreal, pastel-colored hallways that appears to resemble an oil painting. The walls, floors, and ceilings are painted in various bizarre, clashing colors.
"Wh... what the!?"
Kirby and his friends appear to vanish from the perspective of the other members of the team.

The group of turrets quickly reached the team and greeted them.

"You'll ask after." Mewtwo growled as they followed Kirby to the energy's location. But there was no one.

"What now..." Mewtwo growled.

Is anyone else having an unusual sensation in their bodies? It is likely that they were teleported to another location, or they might have disappeared completely...
Tabby's Base
Once the season ends, 6k1 emails the Necromancy Department for the usual, then calls Jumba to send Forehead and Pop to the Arena. She also writes to the Gamemakers that Sans will report to his podium after his visit with Carlos.
What's taking 6k2 so long? she worries. Did she even get my letter?
She distracts herself from that by focusing on the mission. Suddenly, some members of the basement team vanish into thin air.
"Pecan? Any ideas on where they went?"

District 4 ~ Cutbug's "Bug Cave"
[On the porch of a small beach bungalow along the coastline, a bizarre horse-like creature stands, having apparently watched the previous season intently. It appears to be around 5 feet tall on all fours, with grey scales covering its entire body and large perforated gills on the sides of its torso. It also has clawed feet, a thick tail, and a glowing pink liquid gushing out of its head in place of a mane. This fluid can also be seen in its translucent legs and tail fin. An orange pendant with a pink gem rests on its neck, and a large umbrella wraps around its torso.
This creature is Cutbug, a recent-ish immigrant from another dimension. They chuckle to themselves as they go back inside their house and collapse in the middle of the floor, across from the TV.] "Aahhh... Man, that was exciting. I gotta make sure to wake up earlier for the next one."
"The heck you talkin' about?" [From the hallway emerges a limping Speed Forme Deoxys with bandages tightly woven around its "waist" area and Sorbet Shark Cookie clinging tightly to its neck.] "'Wake up earlier for the next season'... You can't even enter next season!"
"No thanks to your damn bragging, Nzurimoyo... If you'd kept your mouth shut, you could've made it way farther." [Cutbug sighs, clearly annoyed.] "But, whatever. There's always the season after this one. Besides, I can still watch this one. Champions from everywhere and every-when you can think of! Can't miss it!"
[The Deoxys rolls its eyes.] "Yeah, can't miss it, whatever you say. But what's the point of it if you're not in the action yourself, y'know?" [It nudges Sorbet Shark's head a little.] "Can you get off, s'kinda hard to talk when you got me in a chokehold like that..." [Sorbet Shark nods, lets go, and falls to the ground.]
"At least you don't have to worry about dying again. That's gotta be an advantage to not entering, right?"
"Oh, please! Part of the fun is the possibility of dyin'!" [The Deoxys poses dramatically, accidentally smacking Sorbet Shark in the face with its noodley arm.] "Y'never know who might come after your hide next."
A plague has consumed the town, summoning Pestilence, Horseman of the Apocalypse!

(Atop a secluded hill sits a large castle-like structure. Despite it looking like an ice castle, its exterior is actually made of glass, with the actual building itself being a gray stone structure within.)
(Somewhere within it is a very large room with a large dome in the middle of it. A large bipedal polar bear, wearing a black suit and having what looks like a laser sight replacing his left eye, looks on at this structure through a very thick glass window with a stern expression.)
This machine had better work this time. (The bear says to a diminutive arctic fox professor.)
Y-Y-yes sir... (The fox says, nervously fumbling for the on switch for the strange device and hesitantly pressing it.)
(He flips the switch, and there's a hum. The hum gradually grows into an almost deafening roar as the dome begins to glow. The polar bear leans against the window in anticipation.)
(Suddenly, there's a loud clanking noise, followed by a loud BANG!. The dome stops glowing and cuts off.)
(The polar bear growls, beating both paws against the window before turning toward the hapless professor as he frantically presses buttons.) Stokes, if this fails one more time, so help me-
Waitwaitwaitwaitwait!! (The professor exclaims.) We got something, sir!
Wait, you serious? (The polar bear stops and looks at the display panel.)
Y-Yes! One, two, three...seven people! And one of them is your rival. (Professor Stokes says.)
Seven? Well, it's a start, and as long as we got Ball with them, then I see this as...maybe not an absolute win, but a win nonetheless. (The bear says.) Well? What are you waiting for? Jaws 15 to come out? Lift the thing!
Gooooing up... (The fox flips a switch.) hiss...brrrrrrrrrrrrr... (Goes the dome as it lifts up.)
(As the dome lifts up further, its occupants are revealed: A seal lion in a blue jumpsuit and her very confused human companion, a very tall purple dragon, a small purple and pink T. Rex-like dinosaur dressed like a mage, a pronghorn and a gila monster both decked in cowboy hats, bandannas, and belts, and finally a Zoroark.)
What the....??
Ohhhh, I don't think we are in the Southwest anymore!

(Everyone looks around at their surroundings, as well as the strange new people around them, in confusion. The lone human in the group sees the purple dragon, screams, and turns to run away so quickly that he falls down. The dinosaur fires lightning from their claws at the dome. The pronghorn dashes around the room at a rapid speed.)
(The polar bear looks positively giddy.) Success! Finally, we have people to take part in these games! And we got Ball!
You know, this is the first time I've seen you smile this whole time... (Stokes remarks.)
(The polar bear presses a button, turning on an intercom.) ALL RIGHT, YOU ALL LISTEN UP!!
(Everyone looks to the window. While everyone else looks confused, upon seeing the polar bear on the other side of the window, the seal lion immediately jumps onto a large beach ball (that seemed to materialize out of nowhere) and rushes up to it.) Eye-Sicle! I should have known...oh, that was a cliche thing to say. Uh, anyway, what's going on here?
WHAT'S IT LOOK LIKE, MISS BALL? YOU, YOUR FRIEND, AND...what in the world are some of these people? Anyway, YOU ALL ARE IN A NEW WORLD NOW! (The polar bear shouts.)
...Yeah, I'm not impressed. (The dinosaur mutters after looking around.)

(Eye-Sicle flips another switch, and everyone he summoned through the dome is instantly teleported out of the room. He then moves behind his desk.) Stokes, I feel like a million bucks right now. I'm finally ready to properly take part in these games.
I hope your tributes will be ready soon, too, sir... (The professor says, shaking his head.)

"Save your breath, you damn dog!" Scipion roared.
"So... No big villainous speech before we fight?" Aaron mocked.
"I could ask the same about your little heroic speech... Not this time. I want you dead. And this time, I will kill you." Scipion hissed

"So we're once again against each other, are we?"
"Unfortunately..." Tokage sternly replied, narrowing his eyes.
"Hehehehe... You certainly look determined today. Is that your little training getting over your head?"
"Maybe? You certainly don't look better with that smug attitude of yours."
"Eh. You're right. Giving how most Pokémon of our world fall easily to us, I have to admit I have quite an ego after so many successful schemes..."
"Scipion easily beats you in that category." Tokage added, watching the Zoroark arguing with Aaron.
"Heh! That's true. And he's always been more powerful and charismatic than me. I'm the kind of guy who prefers to plot in the dark. Why do you think he is our leader?" Morgan cackled.
"No matter." Tokage interrupted, summoning his blades.
"I have a question, though. Why do you fight? What drives you to see me dead?" Morgan eerily asked, licking his lips.
"I hate you. I hate you so much. Who wouldn't want to put that damn smirk out of your face? But I also want to protect what matters. And I know that with you and your teammates around, no one would be safe."
Morgan quietly laughed before bursting of laughter.
"You speak the truth. Good... Good! One determined Morgrem against a determined Grovyle... We fight, to protect our respective leaders and beliefs. What awaits is a wonderful dance of sweat and blood."
"I know..."
"You're ready then... Enough talk... Let us begin... I can't wait to crush that determination and hope of yours!"

"So I'm stuck with you again... You really are a pain in the ass, ya know?" Alex growled at Onox.
"You're annoying. You're mean because you want to punch the boss. I don't like your hat." Onox grunted, his tongue sticking out.
"Geez, I know, you told me that like one hundred times already!" Alex shouted.
"Stop screaming!!" Onox yelled back.
"YOU STOP SCREAMING!!"
"Fine. I just want to protect the boss. And I will, by punching you and the two others."
"You are obsessed by him, huh?"
"The boss is the boss. He knows better than me. He always shows me how to do stuff. He likes me. So I'll always follow him. Aren't you doing the same for your own boss?"
"He's more of a friend than a boss... But yeah, you bet I'll follow him everywhere. I guess that's a thing we have in common, big guy... Asides from... Big appetite... Not being very smart... OH, MY FUCKING ARCEUS!!"
"What?" Onox asked, tilting his head.
"I just realized I have a lot of common with a fucking mindless brute! HOW DID THIS HAPPEN??"
"A lot of... common? So... you're another me?"
"No that's not what... ARGH!! Forget it! I'll just punch your damn stupid face, then I'll get some lunch!"
"OH YEAH!! BATTLE THEN FOOD!!" Onox roared back.
Arthur's town
After a few hours of travel, the duo arrived at Arthur's town. It was rather small, with only around 50 small buildings, but it was very agitated, with a lot of Pokémon on the streets.
James cringed at the rather unpleasant smells coming from the town. But he kept his proud behavior as Arthur led him into a bar.
"Get down."
James did so, just as glass flew above him, breaking upon hitting the wall. There was a brawl between drunken Pokemons nearby. That was enough to make James feel uneasy, but Arthur merely sighed and waved to the Inteleon to move.
They met with a bartender, a rather imposing, silent Bronzong who stared at the duo.
"Yeah, I know. Been a long time." Arthur said before telling the Bronzong what he wanted. There were talking in a local language so James could only ponder at what the two were saying.
The Bronzong said nothing as Arthur paid him, telepathically giving the duo two drinks before leaving.
"Try drinking that while we wait." Arthur said before drinking his beer.
James looked at the drink and cringed at it. He still gave it a shot and attempted to drink it all. His face became green and he cupped his hand around his mouth, trying to not throw up. He eventually gulped the liquid and burped loudly, much to his embarrassment.
"Pffff..." Arthur giggled.
"It's... a stiff drink, to say the least..." James said, coughing, before looking around. Fortunately, no one noticed since aside from them, the other Pokémons were brawling. The duo looked at a screen above and realized that they were fighting because each of them was rooting for a different tribute for the upcoming Battle Royale.
"The Hunger Games, creating a bar fight... If they knew..."
"Tell me... This bar of yours isn't the one you told me earlier, right? So far, that place looks like a saloon from Earth Prime's "Far West" from what I have read."
"Nah. We just have to get through here to reach it." Arthur explained.
Eventually, the Bronzong came back and lead the duo to a separate room. There, he opened a door trap much to James's surprise.
"Here we go. Follow me."
"You're married like me, you know monstrosity can take many forms."

Tabby noticed that Kirby's group was ahead of her so she follows them. She then finds herself in a weird corridor.

The Sliver Sirens leave the house. Charlotte gives August a death glare.
"Come on, Charlotte. Let it go."

"Their tv broke, that’s all and plus, I knew Ribbons since we were kids."
"Ugh fine...Now, should we go out to celebrate?"
"Yep! I think Cassie knows a place!"
"Indeed, none of your guys have been there but the food is so good! My older sister, Selena, works there and the owner is a old friend of Luna's."
"Alrighty, I’m down!"
The three get ready to leave. They head outside and they follow Cassiopeia to a street near the main plaza.
"There it is! It’s the building that reads "Purrfait Cafe" in big letters!"
They enter the cafe. The owner, a Purugly, greets them politely.
"Hello there, Venus! Me and my friend came back here from the games!"
"She's a Purugly?! Seriously? All Purugly are nothing but greedy swindling pigs!"
"Welcome back, Cassie! Do keep the rest of your party under control or I’ve have to put the "Asshole Tax" on her meal. I am not a fan of stereotypes."
"Let me get my servers over here. SELENA! FELIX! GET OVER HERE!"
A Espeon and a Torracat come running into the room. They bow their heads in politeness.
"I didn’t know my little sister and her friends would be eating here. Welcome Cassiopeia!"
"Man, your sister is kinda hot but not as hot as you, m'lady."
"Shut the fuck up, Felix. God, you’re the embodiment of the annoying co-worker."
"Hey!"
"Enough, how about you guys find them a table for 3 please?"
"Sure but they have to wait for one to open. It’s a busy day today."
"How about we read the menu to see what we want to eat? I’m ordering some apple curry."
Charlotte takes the menu from Cassiopeia. She reads it thoroughly with August to see what they like.
"Fried Slowpoke Tails? Hell yeah, I’m ordering one!"
"Seriously I do not approve of them using literal pokemon as menu items. It disgusts me. I might be interested in a Mixed Berry Salad and that’s it."
"Say sis? Do you know where Erik is? Did he quit his job here?"
"Yeah, he’s busy checking inventory. He'll be back. He’s a big and strong Perrserker."

The Original Chosen Four and the Hero of Winds arrive ahead of the others. But then, Kirby and co. suddenly disappear. Ally asks if anyone else feels something.
"Uh oh.... I think I feel it too.... it's almost like.... being transported to a different place...." Link says.
"Oh no.... Anyone else?" Fira realizes.
"We are too!" the Original Chosen Four shout at once. Then, the five disappear.
"Oh crap. Let's hope for the best to them. What will we do now, though?" Dave asks.

The five finds themselves in the same weird area Kirby and co. are sent into.
"Drat! What now?"
"Looks like we'll just have to wing it and find the source then," Ninten replies. "Totally like the old days," he snarks.

"Oh hey, Sans. Huh, your look as a pony is certainly.... something. All those joints of yours still cracking, them?" Link asks the transformed skeleton.
He then smirks slightly. ".... You know what? I would tell a proper skeleton pun to lighten the mood a little more, but I'm afraid I don't have the guts for it."
"Oh, hush, Link," Zelda says, elbowing him, but even she can't resist a small smile on her face, which Link notices.

Strange Corridor
Kirby and co. notice Tabby, Link and the original Chosen Four arriving in this bizarre location.
Kirby then says "Tabby!"
Bandana Dee then asks "This must be it! The thing that wreaked havoc in this place!"
"Oh dear..." said Ribbon.
"Well, that beastie's got nothing on me!"
"We must not be scared! Let's defeat this beast and move on!" said Zan.
Kirby and his friends then run through the labyrinth. Suddenly, they are attacked by small creatures. They are slightly smaller than Kirby himself. They are small and somewhat humanoid, with a bulbous head, two large light-pink buns, a comically large eight note symbol on their heads, and tiny twig-like arms, but no legs. They float around and attempt to bump into Kirby, firing small note-shaped beams at him and his friends.
"Surprise attack! Look out!" yelled Bandana Dee. Kirby and his friends then attempt to take down the creatures. Kirby inhales one of their beams, and he transforms into Beam Kirby
. He then defeats the creatures using his beam. Fortunately, they are fairly easy to beat.

6k1 sees Tabby, Link, and the Original Chosen Four vanish and warns the remaining members that they must leave that corridor immediately. She then sees a letter on the teleporter and opens it.

I'm very sorry for the late reply. Derpy was the one who delivered your letter, and she said that she 'didn't know what went wrong' when she gave it to me. I thought it was her usual cross-eyed vision, but then I saw that her wings were burned...
I had to explain to her about Mimi's Power Incontinence during her puberty, and that she likely shot her out of the sky during her rampage. Derpy struggled with flying to give me your letter, but thankfully the injuries weren't severe enough to require hospitalization. Then again, she gets injured a lot in her mailing routes...
As for Mimi, Dr. Fauna advised me to give her obedience training to improve her behavior, which will begin when you finish the mission and have Dupe merge us back. The Waterblight also said something about battles, so I also have to train her in that department, but after I teach her the basic commands and of course, control her appetite. Dear Celestia, she's growing up so fast... Fluttershy's gonna be surprised the next time I drop her off...
Regarding the rampage, Mimi did quite the damage in some parts of Ponyville, so I had to withdraw a LOT of money from the bank to pay for it. The estimated costs were thousands of bits since the town was rural and Mimi didn't destroy ALL of it. Fauna and Pinkie Pie covered some of the bills for me, and even with the exchange rate we should still have enough money left to sustain us.
Right now I'm at the Ponyville Post Office, waiting for your reply. It's starting to become dark, but it's now open 24/7 so that Multiversal communication is easier. I also caught up with the last three seasons, and boy did Carlos NOT take the rumored Cirno clone well...
I hope you've given him the proper treatment and sent your Podium Finishers to the Arena already. Once I've wrapped up my things to do here, I'll go back home and take a LONG rest.

Power and Carlos snicker, the latter wondering what he'd look like as a pony or another sapient Equestrian race.
"anyhoo..." Sans trots to him, "how ya doin'?"
The boy tells him about his experience and decision on what to do with his memories.
"i understand. i also requested to have one my bad memories wiped!"
"Which one?"
"uh... i forgot."
A rimshot sound plays while Power and Carlos look at him confused, for once.
"Are you sure that was a joke?" they both ask.
"well, you asked for it..." Sans replies to the boy, "but i'm glad you're doin' ok!"
He turns to Link and Zelda. "and sorry y'all had to do what ya did to him that season... but good on ya on bringin' him back!"
"Hey, you gotta thank me and Claire for helping out, too!" Power winks at Sans.
"So..." says the Head Tribute Researcher, "anything else before we bring Carlos to the Science Center for his treatment?" She turns to him. "Or do you want to visit 6002 first?"
"Wait, there's another one of her?"
"She cloned herself so she can take Mimi to Dr. Fauna for her checkup and save Sayaka at the same time."
"Oh..."
Power giggles. "Maybe you should clone yourself so you can say... 'the pun has been doubled!'"
She raises her hoof the same way as Luna back in her first Nightmare Night. Sans and Carlos share a quick laugh.
"Anyway," the latter continues, "I'm too tired to see my nominator, so I should be going. It would be nice if I could talk to Cirno first, preferably in person."
"and the gamemakers can't wait for me forever!" says Sans.

With five of the team vanished, Dave and co. heed 6k1 and Ally's warning and leave the corridor, and begin searching for more clues.
Mysterious Labyrinth Dimension
The team begins walking through the maze-like dimension when they are suddenly ambushed by hostile creatures.
"Watch out!" Ninten shouts as he and his friends begin working together to defeat the creatures. Yeah, just like the old days, indeed.
The Hero of Winds, meanwhile, need no further incentive. Now in serious battle stance, he charges into battle, ready to defeat as many creatures as he can with what he has.
Ponhenge
Sans' reply to the question draw laughter from the Hero of the Wild and the Princess as well. The two briefly wonder what would they look like as ponies. Oh, well, maybe they'll know. Maybe not.
The skeleton then thanks the couple for their help.
"Anything for a friend."
Power then makes a pun about cloning oneself so that one could say that the pun has been doubled. The two chuckles at that.
"Well, we're happy to be of service, but we're heading home as well. Hyrule still needs its Hero and Princess, y'know."

(Eye-Sicle's unwitting tributes now sit in a surprisingly comfortable room full of fine furniture covered in gray fabric and surrounded by white walls.)
Jeepers, did that really just happen? (The gila monster asks after a brief moment of silence.)
Y'all, this has been a weird day. (The pronghorn says.)
You think? (The seal lion's human companion says.) Eye-Sicle just took us out from where we live to participate in quote-unquote "games" that could kill us! And I still don't feel safe in here with that dragon.
Sir, if I was the type of dragon who wanted to hurt you, I probably would have done so the minute I saw you. (The dragon says.)
Well, least we've got a nice place here! (The Zoroark says, casually laying on one of the couches.)
Yeah, beats my old place. (The dinosaur agrees.)
Well, we can't get too comfortable, everyone! (Miss Ball says.) We gotta figure out a way out of this-
(Just then, there's a knock on the door across the room from everybody.)
Can I come in, please? (A small voice says.)
(After a moment of silence and exchanged glances, the Zoroark cheerfully replies:) Sure!
(The door slowly creeps open and the small fox professor peeks in. He waves nervously.)
Who are you? (Miss Ball asks, dropping the ball she summoned.)
Uh, my name's Stokes. Stanford Stokes. (The fox replies.) I'm from your world, actually. I'm...I'm the one who built that machine that brought you all here...
So then this is your fault? (The dragon shouts, standing up.)
Oh please please please don't hurt me! (The fox cries, dropping to his stumpy little knees.) If I didn't Eye-Sicle would have frozen me and everyone I know!
(The room goes silent for a moment.)

And what do you do? (Stanford asks.)
I'm a mage, bro. (Wanda says, gesturing to her hat, cape, and curly-toed shoes.) Well, I mean...technically, I was born with the ability to do everything I can do already, I just decided to look the part, that's all.
And what can you do?
Well, all I really know how to do right now is fire lightning from my claws and make rainclouds appear over people. (Wanda says, shrugging.) I haven't figured out what all else I can do yet.
Hopefully you'll have time to learn more before everything starts. (Stanford says.) Well, seems that everyone is capable of something different. Now that we're all properly acquainted with one another, we can prepare for what happens next. I don't know where Eye-Sicle plans to take us yet, but I'll let you all know however I can once I do.

Susie then decides that she should assist the search members that didn't vanish. Using a device Magolor gave her, she contacts Ally to give her their locations. As Susie enters, it starts to rain.
The Strange Corridors
Kirby and co. effortlessly destroy the creatures, running through the corridors, as well as the Original Chosen Four and Link, who also plow through the monsters.
Dedede says, in response to Tabby earlier "You say this is a Witch's labyrinth? It looks nothing like any witch i knew!"
Ribbon replies "Whatever this is, it's something entirely unknown to us!"
Kirby looks around as they run. They enter an area similar to a library, with books all around in shelves.
Ultimately, they arrive at a large chamber. This chamber is lined with bookshelves, all filled with books with bizarre runes. At the center, waiting for the heroes, is the monster
◊. It, or possibly she, is pink, like Kirby himself, possesses a conical hat like a stereotypical witch, and a body like a broomstick, but no apparent limbs, aside from wing-like protrusions.
"There it is! The monster! Quick, destroy him!" warned Meta Knight.
Kirby and the gang didn't hesitate. They attack the beast with their own weapons and powers. The monster fires strange beams at Kirby and his friends, which they dodge. Some of the earlier creatures also appear to hinder Kirby's attempts.

"Technically, we still should do patrolling around that place. Who knows, maybe that group was just the first wave." GLaDOS remarked.
"True, that is a possibility. We could either separate send some of us to the Neon Quarters or call upon new allies to make things easier for us." The Cloud of Darkness answered.

"I agree. Who knows what might happen if it were to escape..." Giegue suggested.
Dragonspiral Tower
Aaron cringed. He didn't want to hurt his friend. But he had no choice. He summoned his Aura bone just in time as Lucian lashed at him. The Midnight Lycanroc quickly retreated and disappeared into the darkness, cackling.
Aaron cursed and focused on his aura, knowing it was the only way to locate Lucian in the darkness. But the Midnight Lycanroc was too fast and he swiftly swapped at Aaron, disarming him before violently bitting his right arm.
Aaron screamed in pain and attempted to use an Aura sphere. But Lucian dodged it and mockingly licked his lips full of blood before smirking like a certain Zoroark. Aaron widened his eyes at this.
"Scipion..." he muttered, remembering some bad memories from his countless fight with the serial killer. Aaron roared angrily and tried to punch Lucian. The Lycanroc dodged again before slamming at the floor and disappearing into the darkness. Spiky rocks began to fall from the ceiling and Aaron was distracted enough to be hit by some.
Coughing, Aaron screamed and slammed the floor in anger.
No.
He can't do that.
He has worked so hard to get here. So hard to have a chance against Scipion's new form and stop his killing tendencies.
He can't give up now.
Lucian reappeared, ready to slice Aaron's throat. But this time, Aaron's aura was faster and the Lucario used Force Palm, sending him flying. Still able to see his foe, Aaron ran while resummoning his Bone aura and jumped before launching it at Lucian. The bone hit its target, unleashing an Aura explosion. Aaron cringed as he heard his friend savagely shrieking in pain.
But that wasn't enough.
Lucian's smile was gone. Instead, the Lycanroc was glaring at Aaron. The Lucario shuddered. That Death Glare was the same one Scipion made back at the forest. He remembered how the Zoroark's obsession resulted in him losing his mind and becoming almost invincible for a while, slashing through Billy's troop and almost killing 6k1 in the process.
Lucian didn't hide into the darkness and went straight for Aaron. Before the Lucario could hit him with a projectile, the enraged Lycanroc savagely clawed at him, forcing Aaron to protect himself with his bone.
Aaron moaned as he tried to resist Lucian. But the rage made the Lycanroc's physical strength stronger. He was going to break the bone at any second.
Aaron closed his eyes. He had to fight back this rage. Inside his mind, he saw flashbacks of how he grew up surrounded by loving parents. How he left them to fulfill his dream. He saw how he met with Alex near a volcano, how both stumbled across a rather cold and distant Tokage, and how the group fully formed after "defeating" Persephone. And he saw how 6k1 greeted them, the fun time he had with the nominators at the party.
He will protect that future.
A blue aura engulfed Aaron. Shocked, Lucian got away before the aura reached him. When Aaron opened his eyes, he felt different. His aura was now bursting with power. His... body was different. Aaron gasped in shock, staring at his paws.
"What... What is this..."
Just in time, Alex, Tokage, and Proteus quietly got by Reshiram and Zekrom's side and were just as shocked at Aaron's sudden appearance.
"Determination... That is how Scipion changed. Nightmare Fuel and energy of the Void, combined to amplify his dark powers. A state that his kind should not be able to perform. You could say Scipion has... mega-evolved, and that this state is permanent."
"Mega-evolution? I saw that in a book. It was written by a Gardevoir named Helen."
"True. That one was none other but Mewtwo's maternal figure back when he was still a weapon. The Gardevoir also closely studied the case of Mega-Evolution. Only a few species, those with strong hearts and determination can achieve this. This is what she left behind."
"Scipion's metamorphosis was unnatural, to say the least. Unlike him, you would not be able to stay in this form forever. But now, you have a chance."
Lucario stared at everyone who was watching, completely forgetting the enraged Lucian behind. Lucian shrieked and attempted a last attack. Aaron calmly turned around and launched an Aura Sphere at him. That attack was faster and far more powerful, exploding on Lucian. The Lycanroc roared in pain, unable to handle the aura as blue cracks appeared on him. He exploded in blue light before reassembling, turning back into his original Dusk-self.
"Lucian!" Aaron exclaimed, running towards his friend. Thanks to Reshiram and Zekrom, Lucian's wounds disappeared in an instant and he quickly woke up.
"Ugh... My head... Aaron, what happened? I remembered passing out, but that's it." Lucian groaned.
Aaron looked at the legendaries who nodded.
"Nothing." he lied, not wanting to make Lucian feel bad from fighting him. Lucian nodded, only to widen his eyes at Aaron's new look.
"A mega-evolution? But... Yes! Why did I not told you about it earlier? I remember!! Maybe you can defeat Scipion in this form!!"
Aaron turned back to normal and nodded, his confidence boosted up before Lucian hugged him.
"Come here, you damn wolf!" Alex exclaimed as he hugged Aaron too.
"I have to say. I'm impressed. Congratulations." Tokage added as he joined in the hug, followed by Proteus.
"Ack... Hey guys... I can't breathe..." Aaron tried to say.
Distortion World
"UUUUUUGGGHHH..." Scipion moaned as the Crimson Wizard died at the Bloodbath.
"Great, I can only count on freaking female Sephiroth for participating to the Battle Royale. And I have the feeling that he'll screw up..." the Zoroark complained.
"I'm pissed off!!! DAMNIT! Morgan, Onox!! Move your ass, we're going to kill some people in our world!!" Scipion roared.
"Boss, yes boss!" Onox exclaimed while Morgan quietly chuckled.
