So I've been wanting to create eldritch/humanoid abominations for my story for quite some time now but one thing I definitely know is that I don't want to use ideas solely by Lovecraft. I understand that plenty of people are heavily inspired by his tales but I just want to broaden my horizons and having a unique array of ideas that I can bounce off rather than sticking to just one particular type. Anyone have creators that you would recommend? It would be helpful if you suggest any prominent creators, and thanks for the help.

Well, you could try The Slenderman Mythos works. There's some serious creativity in those, and I know they've inspired me.

Uzumaki isn't necessarily about an abomination, but it's pretty close.

I would suggest that the trope pages for Eldritch Abomination or Cosmic Horror might be good places to start. They’d have a far more comprehensive look than anything we could provide here.

They should have sent a poet.

Lots of writers dabble with eldritch horror. Some a little more blatant than others.

Stephen King shorts stories tend to lean on the eldritch horrors more than his full length novels. Not all mind you, but a good handful.

Charles Stross and The Laundry Files are a good alternative take on the topic. Despite the sheer alien-ness of outer gods, and elder things. Stross applies a good dose of mathematical logic to it by way of computer programming. Not going to lie, the technical aspects of his stories are lost on me, but they're still quite fun to read.

Chtulu Tech has some nice notes on Eldritch horrors that help with the creative juices.

The portrayal of the Shrike in the first two books of Hyperion Cantos is one of the more unique abominations I've seen in literature, and it has a distinct flavor I've yet to quite see imitated.

Although they exist in hard sci-fi and operate through extremely advanced but eerily plausible technology, the Trisolarans in The Three-Body Problem do their best to appear this way to humanity, and they do a terrifyingly good job of pulling it off.

The Gods of Pegana by Lord Dunsany is another ur-classic of the genre.
