Sweet. Will post some of my random thoughts on CM since I can go off-topic sometimes.

Out of curiosity, have you ever thought on most attractive C Ms before? I've been thinking about one and most of the attractive female C Ms are my insta-favorites hahaha...

Thinking in terms of actresses who played CMs who are attractive, Allison Williams and Erika Christensen come to mind.

Which CM Erika Christensen played again?

Madison Bell in Swimfan.

There's also Demi Moore back in 2003 (Madison Lee in Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle).

Anyways, I'll admit there are several C Ms that I regret didnt proposing earlier... Like Queen La, Zenke from Fairy Fencer F, Barclyss from Forever Home, 1999 version of Dakki, Medea Pideth Machina, Alexis Leskinen, Genocide and Lucifer from Chaos!Comics, Charlotte Ermengarde... There's a lot more tbh.

@Ultimatum It's not hard to understand at all. It's all stuff related to Complete Monster that would be considered OT on the Cleanup thread (sometimes on topic too, but that would be in cases where if it is OT, you're unsure and want to play it safe).

@Elfen It doesn't matter when a CM I get approved goes up really. It just matters that they went up and when they go up is unique too, so there you go.

Yeah first CM for Neal McDonough, which is odd considering he's usually not a villain in serious stuff (looking at you Mall Cop 2).

Didn't see The Thirteenth Tale, but I do find Sophie Turner very attractive, so there's another one.

Here's a random thought of mine: when I first learned about this trope, I was shocked to see that Agent Smith and Satan were not listed. Are there any villains you were surprised were not listed when you first heard of this trope?

@falcon, @Ultimatum My introduction to the Monster Cleanup thread was asking about why Amy Dunne from Gone Girl didn't count. I suppose I at first thought that if there was anyone who didn't count, then there was a reason for it, but I realize now there were probably many occasions where they just hadn't been discussed yet.

I was pretty shocked Higuchi from death note didn't count.

Okay. Have any of ever disagree with a candidate that went up? I can't think of one myself during my time here.

As for one I was surprised doesn't count when I first heard of this trope. I thought Film!Stane would count. Of course now that I have a better understanding of the trope I get why.

Part of me is uncomfortable still with Lotso’s inclusion, but most of me is good with it though. There was a time when I wasn’t completely on board with Ma-Ma’s inclusion, but I wasn’t happy when she wasn’t cut either though.

Yeah I wondered if maybe there was a hidden gem in the MCU we missed.

Since it’s not out until 7/4, it’s okay for me to say that given the new Stranger Things 3 trailer, the Mind Flayer is confirmed sentient.

Personally, there are many characters whom I disagree with their status as CM, but the two most prominent are Slade and Steele.
I always saw Slade more as a Noble Demon, who undeniably has a great deal of respect for Robin (and the other Titans, to a lesser extent...), and who can act as their ally on occasion (as seen during their fight against Trigon). It's probably just me Draco in Leather Pants-ing him (I admit that he's one of my favorite villains), but still, there are evidences of this, such as the fact that he saved the Titans' lives more than once...
For Steele, in all honesty, I barely even consider him a true villain (and a CM, even less so...). During most of the movie, he's just a generic bully... Even when he tried to make the dogs lose their way at the end, while this could have led to the death of several children, I doubt he even realized it, I have more the impression that he merely wanted to discredit Balto as a leader, nothing more.

But hey, this a YMMV trope for a reason, after all...

@Mimic The dogs could have also died. From what I recall, Steele seemed pretty aware that this would kill the kids. Again, I'd argue that Scar Snout is sentient, so him hunting the babies is enough to make him count, but I understand that it's by means of Fridge Horror and Retcon though.

I think the manga version of Envy and Matt Engarde both count, honestly. Also, I agree with Kimblee being disqualified, but I think only his Big Damn Villains moment disqualifies him: i think his moral code is warped enough it doesn't really help his case

I think Nichols at least deserves a closer look even if Royce doesn't. I've kind of given up on Geiger now at this point.

Also, I'm annoyed that George Deckert wasn't approved and I want to take another look at that one again (xXx: State of the Union) to see if there was something overlooked.

Honestly? It might just be me but I used to disagree Le Tenia got removed.

Kylotrope had discouraged putting the link to the thread on Monster Cleanup and I'm inclined to agree. I'm trying to figure out a way to make more people check out this thread though and that's why I encourage sending the link in PM to others. This helps me to avoid going OT over there and to know it's effective and working will really work wonders.

There are times when even though there are issues with Offscreen Villainy, two that seem like they would count otherwise without question are Ratigan and Merlock.

I disagree with James Tyrell and Robert DeGuerin being up, because to me, they seem to be Just Following Orders. I also disagree with Roger Kimball and Frank Masucci being up, because I personally feel we should cut characters as soon as they're outheinoused, as well as Demon!Dodge because its species seems to be Always Chaotic Evil. There are others, I think, but those are just the ones I can think of off the top of my head.

Well, from reading the original effortpost, it seems like he's outheinoused by several other people as well, including a guy who creates death camps. There also doesn't seem to be a lot of small-scale villains in the series, and it seems like his only unique crime is attempted rape, so I believe he's outheinoused to the point where resources stop mattering.
