This is a thread for checking up on pages for works that have not been released yet, to make sure that they are not straying into rampant speculation or posting crazy behind the scenes spoilers. You can bring both individual examples or entire pages to attention here.
In extreme cases, any page can be locked, but hopefully that won't be necessary.
(As these pages often are hit with zero-context examples and shoehorning as well, all four - speculation, spoilers, ZCEs, and shoehorning may get addressed simultaneously.)
The policy governing this effort is Creating A Work Page For An Unreleased Work. Cleanup is being tracked using the Unreleased Works sandbox.
All pages for unreleased works should include a %% comment at the top of the page, confirming the policy and linking to this thread and the Administrivia page. It doesn't have to be exactly the same as the example provided here, but this provides a template to work with.
%% Speculative troping is not allowed on TV Tropes.
%%
%% We trope what DOES happen in works, not what MIGHT happen or is LIKELY to happen.
%%
%% For unreleased works where all we have to go on is advertising and other supplemental materials, we have some detailed guidelines, which can be found at Administrivia/CreatingAWorkPageForAnUnreleasedWork.
%%
%% NOTE - these rules also mean that unreleased works should only have one page image, and that image should NOT be changed again until the work is released.
%%
%% If you have questions, please consult the Unreleased Work Speculation Cleanup thread at https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=15514631230A64268600
%%
%% Thank you.

FYI, a trailer just dropped for a The World Ends with You sequel; NEO: The World Ends with You. There is hype. There will be edits.

Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing. And the page might be at the wrong capitalization, but that's a matter for another thread.
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.Hey, ~Khaos Kyuubi, I appreciate the enthusiasm, but the pages you made for NEO The World Ends With You aren't up to the wiki's standards. For one, we need three tropes that can go on the main work page to make the page, and I'm not sure that much can be gotten out of the sole trailer released so far. And if the main page can't stay up, neither can any of the subpages.

SoundCloudNah, that's just a custom title issue; it's at the right wikiword.
Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing.A trailer for Persona 5 Scramble has been posted with a released date announced. I apologize if I was supposed let everyone here know first before I added it to the Sandbox.
Oh, sorry.

As that's an upload of a leak, we can't use that.
SoundCloudI would like to add something to Fate: The Winx Saga:
- Playing with Fire: At the beginning of the teaser trailer, Bloom discovers that she has the power to control fire from her hands while walking through the forests.
Thoughts?
He/His/Him. No matter who you are, always Be Yourself.Seems fine, as it does cite the trailer.
Should we create a Recap page for Fate: The Winx Saga, since we're getting close to the premiere?
He/His/Him. No matter who you are, always Be Yourself.I'd wait until it releases so there's actual info to add besides just the episode titles. We've still got a month to go, so there's no need to rush.
back lolShip of Heroes has a lot of Speculative Troping, and is out of date, saying "The beta is planned for 2019". Here is the most recent release schedule.
Keet cleanupUnfortunately, Fate: The Winx Saga was deleted again for "no promotional content". While the page was restored by someone else, I've added the teaser trailer back on to the page. Do you think this will work for now or should the page be cut listed again?

He/His/Him. No matter who you are, always Be Yourself.Let's try a sandbox for now.

He/His/Him. No matter who you are, always Be Yourself. There is an upcoming series about Diego Maradona, that will be aired by Amazon. Although there is no official trailer, there is a leaked one, and TV programs talk about it (see here). Is it fine to start troping, or should I wait for an official trailer?
Ultimate Secret WarsWait for an official release of the trailer.
SoundCloudI've been editing the sandbox page in a word processor to bring it up to date - adding release dates or windows to works that lack them, moving them to different categories if they fulfill the requirements with the newly-added date, and removing works that were released or canceled. I wanted to ask a few questions before I changed the actual page:
- What qualifies as a "significant amount of pre-release material"? Most upcoming pages have at least a single trailer or gameplay footage, which seems to be in line with what the Administrivia page says, but some (like The Green Knight) only have a teaser.
- If a work page has "2020" in the title and then gets delayed into 2021, should the page be moved accordingly? I know this may seem obvious, since many pages have been moved to that effect (like Black Widow (2020) becoming Black Widow (2021)), but there are a few works in the sandbox that are slated for release in 2021 yet keep the previous year in their names. For instance, Candyman 2020 will release on August 27, 2021, while Death On The Nile 2020 comes out on September 17th.
Wrong years are due to people not updating the pages. It should be changed.
Link to TRS threads in project mode here.To avoid copy-and-paste errors, use Notepad or something similar.
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.Thank you both for your advice. I went ahead and moved Candyman (2021), Death On The Nile 2021, and Spiral (2021).
Pinball cleanup threadTwo things:
- Might Bayonetta 3 be worth a cut? The game has been in development hell for years and we still have no gameplay footage, just a very short teaser released back in December 2017. We cut FF 16 for not having gameplay footage despite having a much longer cinematic trailer.
- Superman & Lois has been launched but all we have at the moment is a teaser of Supes narrating his background.
Edited by Silverblade2 on Jan 1st 2021 at 12:10:51 PM
Zap Bayo 3; no content has been revealed in years, so who knows what the final product will turn out.
Superman & Lois, based on its pilot release date being only two months from now, probably has its pilot finalized already (just not promoted). I'm on the fence on this one.

For Superman and Lois, Spinoff and Spiritual Successor are both commented out, which seems like over-doing it. For the later it's a bit more complicated - is "a TV series focused on Superman and Lois Lane as a couple" a strong enough connection for it to be a valid example? For the former, I really don't see why this needs citation - it's been abundantly clear at every step of the way that this is indeed a spinoff. The trailer doesn't say out loud "this is a spinoff", because that would be weird. I suppose there's probably a press release or something that could be cited, but is that even allowed?
Press releases are a bit iffy, but this is just the "is Final Fantasy VII Remake a remake" situation again.
(Admittedly FFVII Remake showed us why this type of policy is necessary...)
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.
As written, those are shoehorns, plain and simple. I'd cut them.
