This is a thread for checking up on pages for works that have not been released yet, to make sure that they are not straying into rampant speculation or posting crazy behind the scenes spoilers. You can bring both individual examples or entire pages to attention here.
In extreme cases, any page can be locked, but hopefully that won't be necessary.
(As these pages often are hit with zero-context examples and shoehorning as well, all four - speculation, spoilers, ZCEs, and shoehorning may get addressed simultaneously.)
The policy governing this effort is Creating A Work Page For An Unreleased Work. Cleanup is being tracked using the Unreleased Works sandbox.
All pages for unreleased works should include a %% comment at the top of the page, confirming the policy and linking to this thread and the Administrivia page. It doesn't have to be exactly the same as the example provided here, but this provides a template to work with.
%% Speculative troping is not allowed on TV Tropes.
%%
%% We trope what DOES happen in works, not what MIGHT happen or is LIKELY to happen.
%%
%% For unreleased works where all we have to go on is advertising and other supplemental materials, we have some detailed guidelines, which can be found at Administrivia/CreatingAWorkPageForAnUnreleasedWork.
%%
%% NOTE - these rules also mean that unreleased works should only have one page image, and that image should NOT be changed again until the work is released.
%%
%% If you have questions, please consult the Unreleased Work Speculation Cleanup thread at https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=15514631230A64268600

So I created a sandbox for Sandbox.Shin Sakura Taisen The Novel Hizakura No Koro just now with a couple of tropes in place using the premise from Shueisha's website regarding the novel. Do you think we should move it to Literature or just keep it in the sandbox for now until its official release date?

He/His/Him. No matter who you are, always Be Yourself. On YMMV.Sonic The Hedgehog 2020, there seems to be a disagreement over a Hilarious in Hindsight entry.
How can there be a HIH for a work not even released yet?
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"It seems to be a misunderstanding regarding how the trope works i.e. thinking that the trope works retroactively as well.

No, HIH applies going forward. It would attach to the work retroactively made "hilarious", not the work making it so.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I'll remove it citing this thread.
For a potential trope addition to VideoGame.Shin Sakura Wars:
- Casting Gag: The game brings back four actors from Sega's Yakuza franchise, albeit in different roles. Rie Kugimiya, who voiced Haruka Sawamura, is the voice of Margarethe; Ryōko Shiraishi (Mai Sanada in Yakuza 3 and Saya Date from Yakuza Kiwami) is the voice of Komachi Oba; Miyuki Sawashiro, Makoto Makimura’s voice actress, voices Hakushu Murasame; and Ryōtarō Okiayu, who played Shoyo Toma, is the voice of President G.

He/His/Him. No matter who you are, always Be Yourself. How is that a Casting Gag? It's just casting a few actors who happened to be in the same work before. That happens all the time.
I see. So does that fit under the Relationship Voice Actor trope in this case?
He/His/Him. No matter who you are, always Be Yourself.I think it needs more than one work together to be a relationship. If two or more of these actors have a history of being cast together, that's when your have the Relationship Voice Actor.
Also I believe a Casting Gag has to be deliberate on the part of the casting.
Nevermind this, I mixed up my threads and thought this was Is This an Example.

Gotcha. All of the actors in the new Sakura Wars game have a history of being cast together in various projects.

He/His/Him. No matter who you are, always Be Yourself.YMMV.Crisis On Infinite Earths 2019 already has a Ensemble Dark Horse entry. Should it be cut?
Burnt with prejudice, since we need the finished work to assess how little screentime or focus a candidate for the trope has.

Alright... I've been edit warring on Crisis on Infinite Earths (2019) for a while because people keep adding speculations, uncited examples or pre-hidden examples.
Can we make an official rule on Creating a Work Page for an Upcoming Work that pre-hidden examples are banned and should be cut on sight?
Edited by Silverblade2 on Nov 27th 2019 at 9:35:57 PM
I thought that was already a rule? Possibly not made clear on that page though
Deleted a Like You Would Really Do It example on the Crisis YMMV page due to the trope requiring an explicit survival within the work to count.
~Silverblade2 If you're having that much trouble I'd recommend reporting the situation in Ask The Tropers as well as here, or starting a discussion on the page itself if you haven't already. This seems like something the mods should be alerted to.
I do not recommend edit warring as that will only risk getting you in trouble too, and the fact that you might be right may not matter.

I added a line to the commented-out warning, as well as in the edit reason, and a line in the Administrivia page:
For the record, we have a generally recognized exception on Edit War for corrections, but it's still best to just notify a mod if you find yourself having to do that, so we can intervene and put a stop to the repetitious incorrect editing.

About Crisis, I deleted some of things like The Hero Dies or Tonight, Someone Dies as it has nothing to comment on. Granted, the original Crisis on Infinite Earths had many deaths, but we don't know who will die aside from Oliver Queen, or if a death will stick.
Tonight, Someone Dies should be okay for pre-release works in general as long as the advertising explicitly hypes up the possibility of a character death, regardless of whether it happens in the finished work or not.
Edited by Albert3105 on Nov 28th 2019 at 3:35:51 PM
I ultimately deleted all tropes, lest I be mistaken for a problematic user and banned.
On that note...
Are you implying that Oliver Queen dies?
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.
I think it's fine.
