This is a thread for checking up on pages for works that have not been released yet, to make sure that they are not straying into rampant speculation or posting crazy behind the scenes spoilers. You can bring both individual examples or entire pages to attention here.
In extreme cases, any page can be locked, but hopefully that won't be necessary.
(As these pages often are hit with zero-context examples and shoehorning as well, all four - speculation, spoilers, ZCEs, and shoehorning may get addressed simultaneously.)
The policy governing this effort is Creating A Work Page For An Unreleased Work. Cleanup is being tracked using the Unreleased Works sandbox.
All pages for unreleased works should include a %% comment at the top of the page, confirming the policy and linking to this thread and the Administrivia page. It doesn't have to be exactly the same as the example provided here, but this provides a template to work with.
%% Speculative troping is not allowed on TV Tropes.
%%
%% We trope what DOES happen in works, not what MIGHT happen or is LIKELY to happen.
%%
%% For unreleased works where all we have to go on is advertising and other supplemental materials, we have some detailed guidelines, which can be found at Administrivia/CreatingAWorkPageForAnUnreleasedWork.
%%
%% NOTE - these rules also mean that unreleased works should only have one page image, and that image should NOT be changed again until the work is released.
%%
%% If you have questions, please consult the Unreleased Work Speculation Cleanup thread at https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=15514631230A64268600
%%
%% Thank you.

Should we add new notation to marked leaked works? God of War Ragnarök, Sonic Frontiers and now Pokemon are reporting leaks.
Wait, they hadn't leaked before this?
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.Someone added to the HoYay.Total Drama page based on the single promotional pamphlet we got for the revival. However we don't have context for these scenes so this should be deleted, right? Especially as there is confirmed to be a gay couple in the show, and these scenes thus might be actually gay in context, not Ho Yay.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.Yeah, that's an obvious cut.
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.Okay so Glass Onion starts a one week theatrical run tomorrow. What the policy on adding tropes from the movie then?
Come to think of it, what’s the policy for early screenings of Strange World tonight?
The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire.Early screenings are fine, I think; the work is publicly available, even if it's only temporarily, that doesn't mean we can't add tropes. We just gotta spoil tag them and stuff.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessGot it.
The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire.I actually just came out of a sneak preview of Puss in Boots: The Last Wish. I’m assuming that applies to this? It was just the one showing, but in multiple theatres. Spoilers will be hidden and the note of the sneak peek will be added.

The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire. At The Super Mario Bros. Movie:
- Ascended Meme: The “you just got Vectored” meme is referenced in a promotional poster with Luigi’s new render. This may not look like an appropriate example but remember that the people who made Despicable Me are working on this movie.
I don't know what the second sentence is trying to say.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupIllumination are referencing a meme that came from their first movie... though I've never heard of that meme before.
It’s a thing. It’s on Know Your Meme. Though I’m not sure the reference is intentional.
So here is something someone just added to Film.Knock At The Cabin:
- In Case You Forgot Who Wrote It: Subverted; Paul Tremblay has been completely omitted from all the posters and trailers for the film.
Not sure that counts.

The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire. That’s not a subversion, that’s an aversion, and it’s not notable, so it can be removed.
SoundCloudx4 What about:
- Ascended Meme: The "you just got Vectored" meme that originated from Illumination's own Despicable Me is referenced in a promotional poster with Luigi's new render.
We've now got ComicBook.Revenge Of The Brood (Feb 8, 2023) and ComicBook.Captain America Cold War created, with a fair bit of intro and three tropes on each.
I haven't seen an exact date for Cold War, but Marvel.com now says April 2023 - is that enough to move it out of the "no announced release date" section and keep the page?

Release date yes, but I just took a peek at the latter page and in terms of tropes with context, no.

Tagging ~Professor Magic 89 for awareness, as they created the page.
I just spoke with Synchronicity re: Cold War ZCE.
The tropes cited were already confirmed based on the pre-release material from NYCC 2022 (https://www.marvel.com/articles/comics/nycc-2022-captain-america-cold-war-details).
Same goes with Revenge of the Brood (https://www.marvel.com/articles/comics/x-men-captain-marvel-revenge-of-the-brood-crossover-story-arc).
However, if TPTB still feel they are classified as ZCE, then I will not modify either page any further until both crossovers formall kicks off next year.
I have also spoken with Mrph 1. I will be more careful and cognizant of criteria for Sandbox/Future Works pages from hereon out.
I apologize for any problems I've created. I let me enthusiasm and excitement get the better of me sometimes.

They weren't just missing citations, mind, they were missing context wholesale. How do the prerelease materials portray them as Big Bad or The Conspiracy?
I'll just point out that the release date doesn't matter for comic books.
- Works in the following mediums need only pre-release material.
- Literature, manga, comic books/strips
Okay, we’re gonna need to keep eyes on Film.Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 3 and Film.Transformers Rise Of The Beasts.
For example: You Called Me "X"; It Must Be Serious: You know Rocket is out for blood in the trailer when he says "Pete, I'm done running" and loads his gun.

The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire.Speaking of GOTG V.3:
- Tear Jerker:
- This is the final Guardians of the Galaxy film with the original cast/crew, and it promises to be a grand and emotional sendoff for them all.
- Peter and Mantis are seen bursting into tears at something unknown.
- Gamora is seen looking sadly at a photo of something.
- This little bit of dialogue from Rocket, said without a trace of his usual caustic dry wit.
Rocket: We'll all fly away together one last time into the forever—that beautiful sky... - This is the final Guardians of the Galaxy film with the original cast/crew, and it promises to be a grand and emotional sendoff for them all.
Everything except the last one can go for being either meta or overdramatic at scenes where we don’t even have the full context, right?
SoundCloudYeah, go ahead with those removals.
Looking at ComicBook.Dark Web, some of the ZCEs ~Synchronicity commented out have been reinstated by ~Arawn999.
Text for Continuity Overlap is unchanged, Big Bad now has another (third) character added as their ally and has moved to Big Bad Duumvirate, but doesn't have any more background on why the existing two qualified.
Am I ok to comment them out again, or is that getting into edit war territory?
Sorry, I wasn't aware they'd been commented out for being zero context examples, and thought it was due to the work being unreleased at the time they were written. Thus I didn't see an issue with uncommenting them considering that the prelude issues Amazing Spider-Man (Vol. 6) #14 and Venom (Vol. 5) #13 have revealed the hows and whys of Ben, Madelyne, and Eddie's alliance, as well as that Madelyne's status as the Queen of Limbo is being carried over from the X-Men comics — and also the work's technically not unreleased anymore.
I'm also not sure how those examples can be considered zero context examples; for instance, Big Bad Duumvirate states that Chasm and the Goblin Queen have allied to seek revenge on the people who they feel have wronged them. That said, I've added some additional context as to why Ben and Madelyne have teamed up to pick a fight with Spider-Man and the X-Men.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet have started to leak so keep a close eye on the pages.
