If they're no longer examples, I'm fine with pulling.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportI don't think they were ever really examples for the reasons given in the OP. Lapis wasn't really a villain even at the time this came out.
Keet cleanupYeah. And by the time the intro came out, Jasper was still working for the diamonds, so the ensemble wasn't there yet.
If it's not illustrative, then it should be pulled.
(Annoyed grunt)How about this famous cover of The Flash?
That seems pretty good.
to 7 assuming they are not more of a Quirky Miniboss Squad.

mwop7.
Currently mostly inactive. An incremental game I tested: https://galaxy.click/play/176 (Gods of Incremental)Are they all featured in the same story arc?
7 if it's actually an example.
(Annoyed grunt)Do we actually have a policy about the "Image is not an example" thing?
What's wrong with an image not being it even if it's perfectly illustrative?
Spiral out, keep going. It's not strictly forbidden (see This Image Is Not an Example for images that aren't actual examples of the tropes they illustrate), but the current image shows that Peridot, Jasper, and Yellow Diamond are united, which isn't this trope. 7 is less misleading.
Keet cleanupUsers familiar with the work but not the trope may get the wrong idea about the trope's meaning.

7 works. You can tell the villains have different enough themes that they don't seem united.
7 works in absence of anything better.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure Pureness& Ditto.
It's really difficult to come up with images here that don't overlap with Rogues Gallery.
7
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."7 ain’t bad.
I like the idea of a comic example, but want one that's a bit more expansive than a Rogues Gallery but seems less organized than a Legion of Doom. There's a recent DC Villains Omnibus whose cover has the right sort of feel.
It helps that they are (well, most of them) are on the same level. Throwing in another vote for 7 unless it's not an example.
Spiral out, keep going.
The picture we have for the trope, Yellow Diamond, Peridot, Jasper, and Lapis Lazuli from Steven Universe, should really be removed.
1. It's inaccurate for half of them. Peridot and Lapis redeemed themselves long ago, and even when they were villains, they were a subordinate to Yellow Diamond, and a villain for one episode only respectively. Neither had the role of Big Bad.
2. The image portrays the villains (or at least Yellow Diamond, Jasper, and Peridot since Lapis is held by Jasper) as united. That's Big Bad Duumvirate not Big Bad Ensemble. So even if it was accurate to act as if Lapis and Peridot hold the Big Bad role, it's representing the wrong trope.
