Has anybody tried to do a marathon of watching movies?

Is there a series of movies, or a specific group that you decided to watch in one day or for several days? I couldn't do one of those even if I tried, but I'm wondering if anybody did it either solo or with friends.

Lord of the rings extended edition

One time, I watched ALL the Twilight movies because my sister did that once.

Another time, I watched the Sam Raimi Evil Dead movies in a row.

Yes, I have done this several times. I've marathoned the Lord of the Rings trilogy, the Star Wars original trilogy, and spent the better part of a weekend marathoning the Harry Potter movies.

One time I did all six Star Wars movies including Star Wars: Clone Wars, and a few times I've done a Disney marathon.

Did it for Digimon Adventure Tri but reality kept interrupting me...

Not movies but me and a friend tried a Chargeman Ken! marathon. had to split it into 2 parts though

I attempted to do so a while back with an assortment of Mel Brooks filmography. Unfortunately, I ended up with the side effect of tripping balls from sleep deprivation after watching all those flicks.

I've done this with a few trilogies - Back To The Future and Evil Dead are fun ones to do this with because they both sort of pick up exactly where the last one left off ^note Evil Dead II is about 25% remake of the first movie due to Sam Raimi wanting to pick up exactly where the first left off but not having the rights to reuse footage - there's some sort of fanon thing where you can watch all of the original Evil Dead, skip the first 15 minutes or so of Evil Dead II"", then jump to Army Of Darkness just before the ending of Evil Dead II and experience it as one continuous movie. Long-runner wise, I went through all of the Nightmare On Elm Street'' movies by watching like 1-2 a week among a ton of other horror movies, and even that was a bit overwhelming. I kind of recommend marathoning series you already know pretty well over new-to-you ones - if you end up napping partway through a movie or have to pee or something you won't be all "who is this guy again?".

Can't say I ever have tried to binge-watch any specific series of movies. If I did, it would probably waste any valuable time I have to do something, anything else afterwards to get my mind off of it. (Particularly with movies that are about three hours long as opposed to an hour and a half long, such as for example epic movies and most Bollywood films.)

I tried to watch all the Lord of the Rings extended versions. I fell asleep somewhere around Helm's Deep...

I just had one for my birthday; nine Disney Princess movies.

How is that much Princess time even possible?!

Then again, while babysitting some cranky kids, I happened to watch two and a half hours of Paw Patrol to get them to stop crying.
