I made some changes to Characters.Stranger Things Main Cast. There's much more to do, obviously, but the edit reason would be too big for the textbox and I'm trying to get more help from people (so it makes sense to post this here instead of the subpage's discussion tab).
REVISIONS
- From the Party's section
- From the General folder:
- Adorkable: The only one that qualifies for this trope is Dustin. Mike's not nerdy, though he looks like he could, and he doesn't find himself is awkward moments ever. Lucas isn't nerdy either. The only two that could count would be Will and Dustin, but Will is never put in the right situations for us to see him fitting the trope. Dustin, however, clearly qualifies.
- Undying Loyalty: This lacked context, so I added to it.
- The Team: While they are not Fire-Forged Friends and they don't have any "abilities," they are clearly The Team
- From the General folder:
CUT
I removed the following from Characters.Stranger Things Main Cast (with accompanying reasons):
- From the Party's section
- From the General Folder:
- Childhood Friends (the trope requires them to be much older than they are right now)
- Everyone Knows Morse (they don't know Morse code)
- Four-Temperament Ensemble (there's more than four of them and they don't neatly fit into the roles, and the thing about Lucas is totally wrong)
- Kid Hero (they are not superheroes and they don't do these things regularly)
- Two Girls to a Team (El and Max are only part of the team at the same time for one or two episodes; the team makeup is four boys and one girl in seasons 1 and 2)
- Nice Guy (in season 1 and 2 we see that Mike's a jerk to Max and his sister, Lucas is a jerk to El, Dustin is selfish, and Will is too introverted to generally be a "Nice Guy")
- From the General Folder:
These changes are from Mike's folder.
REVISIONS
- Act of True Love: Nattery and Word Cruft.
- The Big Damn Kiss: The one in season one qualifies but the kiss in season two has no lead up and no special response.
- Did Not Get the Girl: This needs more context.
CUT
- Action Survivor (he is not average and actually acts like he understands what's going on as opposed to what the Action Survivor needs, and he doesn't face the same kind of action necessary for the trope)
- Adorkable (same as before; just because he's awkward around a love interest doesn't mean he's smart and generally adorable)
- Annoying Younger Sibling (he acts like a brother to his sister but isn't an Annoying Younger Sibling)
- Aww Look They Really Do Love Each Other (the trope is about romantic couples, and it doesn't even fit Thicker Than Water)
- Badass Adorable (not a badass, just a kid)
- Big Brother Instinct (they're best friends, not figurative brothers)
- Cannot Spit It Out (this isn't what the trope means)
- Childhood Friend (same as before)

Look at all that shiny stuff ain't they pretty
Total posts: 2
I just finished watching Stranger Things and I checked out our article and subpage for it.
[Obligatory spoiler warning for the whole series.]
There's rampant problems here, including trope misuse (e.g. Barb being a Disposable Woman), obvious misinformation (e.g. El exorcising anyone), and speculation that the work itself proves wrong or never addresses.
This is such a problem that I think multiple people are needed. This is a relatively popular show and I'm surprised nobody's noticed these blatant problems.
