For my tributes for Season 250, it would be villains responsible for the rebooting of their own universe as I figured that would be fitting. Doc Scratch would be one of them, have yet to decide on the other one...

Let's just say that an elderly stallion did unspeakable things to a teenager and leave it at that.

Mmm... I don’t think this will make what transpired much better, but I do feel like I need to clarify on Gundham’s age. It does involve Danganronpa spoilers, though, particularly for the second game.

So while he was in the killing game, which takes place in a virtual reality, Gundam’s avatar within said virtual reality resembled his teenage self, and all of his memories from first entering Hope’s Peak Academy to entering the virtual reality were gone. Because of that, he believed himself to be around 16-17 years old. However, he was at least 18 years old by the time he agreed to enter the virtual reality, and by the time he wakes up from his coma at the end of the Hope’s Peak Academy Saga, he’s most likely somewhere in his early twenties. The same thing applies to all of the other SDR 2 characters, and something similar applies to all the DR 1 characters too (with the exception of Hagakure, who was a young adult even during his school years due to being held back).

TL;DR: the Gundham I submitted for that season was under the impression that he’s a teenager, but in reality he’s 18 or older. Or it could be his post-game self, in which case he’s definitely in his early twenties. Sooo yeah.

I think the Grand Finale should double as the Favourites Season idea I proposed awhile back - just have everyone nominate their favourite characters of all time.

So I guess pairings involving Age-Gap Romance must be checked on a case-by-case basis. Anyone under 13, however, must be kept out of NSFW events. Tributes who are 13-17 years old are "yellow flags".^note The age of consent varies with every country/state/jurisdiction, but since This Very Wiki is based in California, let's go with 18. They may be involved in NSFW events, but the first rule still applies to them. Tributes who don't look their age and/or are nonhuman are not excused.

Yeah, I personally find any pairing involving an elderly tribute and a child/teen/young adult pretty squicky, and the Star Swirl/Gundham pairing is still No Yay on the basis that Gundham, an ANIMAL BREEDER, did unspeakable things to an animal and really enjoyed it, and that Star Swirl is waaaaay older than Gundham. And the fact that Gundham possibly believed that he was a teenager, even if he actually isn’t, just makes it worse.

Ages are weird with most Danganronpa tributes, to be honest. I probably should’ve considered that more since I nominate them so often. :/

Oof, remember Eike? He’s probably the most hated tribute, and for damn good reason.

Somehow, I have a different idea for the HGS reboot, how about we run two lobbies at the same time?

For the current lobby, we'd keep the sex event, but from now on, we'd disallow kid tributes from being nominated in this lobby. We'd call this continuity HGS Legacy Lobby.

For the reboot lobby, as the others suggested, would not have any sex event, and thus kid tributes can be nominated there. And the new server would simply be called HGS.

How's my idea of running two continuities at the same time?

The downside to that is that there would be two threads to monitor and two different saves to be used, and if someone mixes up the latter between threads, we might end up getting both threads unplugged.

I don't see the mods having a problem with this, especially since HGS is such a Forum Games fixture.

Eike's a dumbass in Shadow of Destiny proper, but he's fortunately not a pedo or child murderer.

On another note, I just thought up an idea - how about we make a HGS Discord server? I’m not sure how many of you guys actually use Discord, but I think it’d be a pretty cool idea, just so that we can possibly talk about past seasons and offtopic stuff without clogging up the thread (obviously crises like this one are best posted about here in the thread so that everyone can see it). Would you guys be interested in that?

I also like the idea. I used to use Discord (no, not that Discord) a lot, especially after Linkin Park lead singer Chester Bennington's death. Some guys at LPLive.net^note A fan-made website made to record the band's live history, setlists, etc set up a help line for everyone to cope with his sudden passing, and I used to hang out with them a lot.

As for the Grand Finale, I plan to end it the same way it started, with Nemo and Chester. My reserves are probably going to be Twilight Sparkle and Kairi.

I'm planning to send in Fluttershy (my first podium finisher) and Toriel (my signature tribute) for the Grand Finale as well.

And I was thinking of starting the #tvt-hgs Discord server as well, but I was reluctant about it because newcomers might post their nominations there by mistake and just confuse everyone. Also, I think that's where I can post everything related to the OG Database. Also, it's my first time using it, so it might be hard for me to trace posts there. And is there a way to turn off voice chat for the entire server? I don't want anyone to hear my voice.

Speaking of the Database, working on both the old and new one's gonna double my workload. I was thinking of having someone else do it, but they might make one in a different format.

Problem is, I'm doing everything in Numbers, while Excel is more easily accessible and editable in Google Drive, and I don't wanna start over, so yeah.

Well, newcomers who post their nominations in the Discord can easily be redirected to this thread, so... well, y’all seem pretty keen on it. Should I make the server now, then? It won’t be anything too big or special, but hey.

As for the Database, you could perhaps teach someone who’s willing to give it a shot how you format it and all that stuff. Be like Toriel, basically

Edit because : You can easily trace Discord messages simply by searching for them. And I can turn voice chat off for the entire server - or you could just not participate in any voice chats. I doubt people would want to voice chat much anyway.

Okay, I made a Discord account. I'm excited, and a little bit nervous, because I might be heading into dangerous territory. Just a heads up, I'm Power Stroke there.

And I think we should decide what goes where in this thread and the server. Obviously, nominations, event suggestions, and seasons go in the former.

And about the custom HGS engine that Mk's working on, once that's out, won't it be a pain to export all the events to there?

Numbers gives me all those pretty checklists that Excel doesn't, so... :/

As for the other database, it could have be interesting to try except 1. not sure how much time I'll have and 2. I don't have a Mac so I can't use Numbers and would probably prefer working in Excel anyway (if you'd prefer both to be in the same format)

Alright, well, here’s the server! I’ve set this invite to expire after 24 hours to keep trolls and stuff out (assuming any trolls would want to join the server to begin with...), but I can PM it to anyone who misses out. The server is very bare-bones at the moment because I don’t know what other channels to create, so yeah.

I think the server should be for things relating to the HGS that aren’t necessarily about whatever season is currently in session, but aren’t really major crises either (such as this whole Season 230 controversy and the idea of rebooting the game). So things like editing the trope page, talking about past seasons, commenting on a tribute’s overall run throughout all of the seasons they’ve been featured in - all that stuff should ideally go in the server. If you guys have any other ideas on what the server could be for, please let me know!

Yeah, talking about older Seasons in more detail than comparing a past season to the current one feels best for the channel
