Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureSuicide Squad will have costumes.
Bleeding Cool reported that there wouldn't be any costumes in Suicide Squad but Jai Courtney said that he has seen his costume.

Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureEd Harris responds to the rumor of him playing Rick Flagg Sr.
Joel Kinnemin talks about the movie.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureThe wardrobe department hate it when people interchange costumes with wardrobe (They are wardrobe Designers, NOT Costumers), but in practice a costume is anything you wear on set. The Suicide Squad is not going to go on missions in jeans and t-shirts, but will at least have combat gear appropriate to their skills.
As for Ed Harris, always liked the guy. One of those rare actors who elevates anything he is in but doesn't try to overshadow anyone else.
Insert token Heroes Reborn joke here.
Really? Because I hear "Costume Design" all the time and the Academy uses it. What's the difference?
I can't say it's a universal thing, but I have talked to Wardrobe Department people and they were not fond of being called "Costumers." It makes it seem like their job only entails putting black leather on actors to make them look cool, or having the main cast dress as the Village People for a joke, otherwise the actors just show up on set with what they're wearing. Costume Department, maybe, but it is not a throwaway department used primarily for period pieces.
But the point is that there is a distinction, one person saying "no costumes" is actually quite ludicrous if you think about it, because the characters have to be dressed in something.
At least until the unavoidable This Ain't Suicide Squad XXX parody.

That is great casting.
This is a signature.Grain of salt but a report says Harley's costume will veer more towards the classic Batman The Animated Series look than the recent Arkham ones.
Thank God if true!
If Margot Robbie dresses like that, I'm going to have a nosebleed and faint.
I like to keep my audience riveted.Edit: Just to be clear, that's fan-made.

"If you weren't so crazy I'd think you were insane."I'm just glad Harley is getting a movie appearance. The lack of Harley was my #1 grip with The Dark Knight, and restricted my rating of it to a 6/10. Yeah Heath Ledger did a good job as the Joker, but in my mind Harley is better than the Joker, a point I'll argue and contest 'till the heat death of the universe.
Harley does have the advantage that the writers seem to have a fair view of her. Joker suffers from the same problem Batman himself does: The writers started to worship him, so he borders on Reality Warper with his criminal escapades and he's way too overused.
Harley Quinn, as far as I'm aware, remains the same flawed and rounded character she has always been, and hasn't been overused to the point of exhaustion.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."Ledger's Joker is definitely not the kind to have a sidekick. And Harley Quinn doesn't... she just doesn't compare to Joker as a character. 70+ years of canon vs less than 20.
"If you weren't so crazy I'd think you were insane."I'm not sure how age matters, especially when the MCU just made a hit movie out of a franchise less around a decade old. Hell she's probably one Batman's more recognizable rogues thanks to a steady stream of appearances outside comics.

The Guardians of the Galaxy? You realize that franchise started in comics all the way in 1969, right?
As for Harley, what I find annoying about her is how fans tend to put her in those Leather Pants. She's actually a rather awful person herself, but since she's cute and acts all bubbly, people tends to forget she's actually, for the most part, a willing chronic reincident in the crimes of the very same Joker they hate so much. It's a double standard I haven't ever liked a lot.
Harley just has more developed relationships with multiple characters whereas Joker's an antagonist to just about everyone - including Harley and the other members of the rogues gallery. Whereas Joker's only really meaningful relationships (and thus the only people he can really have substantial interaction with) are with Harley, Batman, and to a lesser extent the rest of the Bat-Family.
Harley on the other hand has relationships with Joker, Bats, Ivy, Catwoman, everyone on the squad, and so forth so there's just more potential in using her as an actual character because she has this inkling of humanity left in her crazy little brain, whereas Joker is more of a force of nature than a well-rounded character (which isn't necessarily a bad thing; he is my favorite comic book character, and maybe fictional character period).
But I can definitely see how Harley could be considered more interesting just because there's more to work with. One thing I hope the film focuses on is her intelligence. She's often reduced to a maniacal idiot, but she is a Doctor. I'm surprised more people don't toy with that aspect of her character.
"A king has no friends. Only subjects and enemies."Also in New 52 Harley did have a storyline with Powergirl and in June she will have a miniseries where her and Powergirl are the main characters.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureI've been reading New 52 Harley as of late. In fact I spent a whole day doing so when I was hungover as fuck after consuming 1 entire bottle of vodka.
Man, that technology will make the next Bayformers watchable! No pesky brains getting in the way of that movie!
