Okay just imagine though. I know you all want to say it. Studio Gainax. I mean it wouldn't make any sense but it just needs to be said.

Harry Potter. I can just imagine the first episode of the anime being Harry's life with the Dursleys in a late 90s art style. It can end with Hagrid's ominous outline before he properly introduces himself in the next episode. 
Not as angry as the name would suggest.

It's set in a magical school and has a bunch of fantasy monsters and stuff, sounds anime enough to me.
Now that I think about it several L Ns may have made their trend of magical high schools from stealing the idea.

Danny Phantom. It had several shortcomings. It lacked a sense of progression or direction, so it ended up treading a lot of the same ground multiple times. It would have worked so much better if it had a more structured story arc typical of an anime.

While it is true that Norio Wakamoto voicing Morgan is awesome, I'd rather save him for voicing Donnar Vaderrung. Because, y'know, Norio Wakamoto as SANTA CLAUS!
Give Morgan to Tōru Ōhira or Akio Ōtsuka, instead.
