This guy, who allegedly played a demo version of the new game, just casually mentions a level with an animatronic rat.

Now, this comes right below a picture of Mangle. It could be that he simply got Mangle's species wrong. That would be Hilarious in Hindsight actually, since it's not the first time a robotic fox has been identified as a rat.

However... he also mentions a "murder-bear" below a picture of Bonnie, implying that the pictures in the article don't directly match up with the levels he played.

New animatronic confirmed?

Bear in mind the man mostly responsible for making them is also the one killing the children.

Why does Mister Hippo menacingly imply he knows everything that's going on while staring at me with those lifeless eyes? I don't know what's real in this franchise anymore.

On the screenshots we've seen so far, the only animatronics that felt "out of place" were Sister Location's Baby and Funtime Freddy in the FNAF 4 room and corridor. And depending on how you interpret the secret room in that game, they may have a more legit place there than Plushtrap or the Nightmares ever had.

This game being a remake of the first four games in one package is maybe too optimistic. My guess is that FNAF VR will be a compilation and re-creation of rooms and characters from all the previous games... except once in a while, you get someone who's not supposed to be there, and the absence of familiarity will make it all the more terrifying.

Various youtubers have been given early copies of the game and are allowed to share select footage.

From this we know the overall plot of the game. In an intro narrated by HandUnit, its stated that Help Wanted is an in-universe videogame created by Fazbear Entertainment to show people that the stories about Freddy's are just "total fabrications from the mind of a complete lunatic (lawsuits pending)" while displaying a picture of Scott Cawthon.

UPDATE: More story information has come out. You can find glitched objects in the game and clicking on them collects "purple tapes." These tapes play developer logs from the people working on the game, detailing its strange production. The ones found so far are from a programmer testing the game, who is concerned about odd happenings that have been going on at the studio since "Jeremy" suffered an accident of some sort (the tapes found so far don't reveal what happened to him, but its apparently pretty bad as the tape lady says they're expecting serious lawsuits for it). She talks the most about a new character that that she doesn't recall anyone putting in the game appearing during playtests, and how it doesn't act like the other A.I. enemies, but as if it's alive and watching her.

Said new character was finally discovered by FusionZGamer, just standing in front of him, staring at him and constantly twitching. The fanbase on the reddit is split between whether its Shadow Bonnie, Spring Bonnie, or an entirely new variant.

Man, this series never ends, huh?

In some ways that's a good thing; it's nice that Scott has not only found something successful, but has found ways to keep it going forward, and is also now expanding it past the standard formula (at least to an extent).

Of course, there's negatives to it too, such as Scott being stuck with the Franchise and the fatigue that must come with trying to keep up with the demand.

At least the lore remains interesting, though I haven't really seen anything about FNAF VR to be honest.

Files seem to imply Glitchtrap is the official name for that. And yes turning it into plushy is defeating it

But yeah, I do wonder though if Fnaf can go forever or not. I kinda think people have partially became okay with it being recurring thing and partially still exhausted

Yes they were, I remember watching them on old Boomerang when I was a kid.

They were...surreal to say in the least.

Encouraged by the new Updated Freddy Files book and its encouragement to use the books to reevaluate Henry's and Afton's relationships with the animatronics, MatPat devises a new theory using the books as a starting point instead of the games. One he acknowledges he himself doesn't consider likely, but not outside the realm of possibility nonetheless: The FNAF 4 house is actually the home of Henry's family, not William Afton's. By extension, "Mustard Man" from Midnight Motorist in Pizzeria Simulator is Henry, not William.

Happy 5th birthday to FNaF! To celebrate, Scott uploaded two new teasers for a mysterious new project.

On Scottgames, an image called "9◊" which depicts new versions of Freddy, Bonnie, Chica and Foxy performing (image from reddit user that should clear up who is probably who) on a stage in an 80s style shopping mall with one of the stores being a new "Fazbear Pizza" restaurant. The image is captioned "2020." Notably if you include Ultimate Custom Night and Help Wanted, there have been 8 mainline FNaF games which may explain the image's title. The source code for the website also includes this creepy conversation:

On fnafworld, there's a teaser that just a picture of the number "58◊" under the same name. Brightening◊ it reveals a bunch of in-joke comments from people like "fnaf fan," "rando person," and "reddit user" making fun of Scott. 58 is likely a reference to the mini game from update 2, FNaF 57: Freddy in Space.

Scott also provided an update on various projects.

-The AR game is planned to come out in October 2019 (which rules out it being related to the 9 teaser).

-"[58]" is Scott's next game. Its unclear if its a separate project from the 9 teaser or if both websites are promoting the same game like he did for Pizzeria Simulator. No release date given however.

-"???" is the "second game from Steel Wool Studios" has a 2020 release date and thus might also be "9."

-The movie is aiming for a 2021 release.

-The "AAA Game" has been delayed but more information was given on it. Its being produced by Universal and will be a multiplayer game of some sort. Also aiming for a 2021 release.

-FNaF: Into Madness is on hold while Scott works on [58], he might give the project over to Steel Wool "(2021 maybe)."

-The new book series is "awaiting publication" and "pretty disturbing."

You know, I time it feel sister location is another trilogy just kinda set int he same universe, I mean almost all theorist have already move beyond the children, purple guy and all to thw new games.

Hey everyone!

So, I received an email from a reddit member yesterday asking me to clarify something specific about the lore of Help Wanted. He was very polite and respectful with his question, which I appreciate, and I know it’s something that more than a few other users were confused about as well.

So here I am to set the record straight! (and probably create more confusion in the process)

The question is this: Is Scott Cawthon now a part of FNAF lore? The short answer is: No. My name is never actually mentioned in the game. The game says that an indie developer was tarnishing the brand of Fazbear Entertainment by making video games about them, forcing them to rebrand and try to reclaim their good name by making a VR game that made light of those crazy stories. (Or was it all part of the plan?) Yes, I used my own picture for this indie developer because it’s an obvious parallel, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s actually me in-universe.

On the surface, this might seem like an odd choice for a storyline in general, but there was a very, very specific challenge while making Help Wanted. The challenge was this: How do you take characters that are canon, along with characters that are questionably canon, and characters from every point of the timeline, and throw them ALL together in one game that IS canon? That’s quite the problem when you think about it. But it was important for me that Help Wanted mean something; I didn’t want just a meaningless collection of mini-games, although I’m sure most people would have been okay with that. I wanted it to be canon, and that meant that I needed to solve the substantial puzzle of how. Now that you all know the problem, maybe you can understand my approach. That doesn’t mean you have to agree that it was a good idea (I keep a bowl of candy out for people who show up with torches and pitchforks at my front door.)

So no, I’m not canon, Freddit isn’t canon, the fangames aren’t canon, YOU aren’t canon. Only the existence of a game developer that supposedly made video games based on actual events that may or may not be a cover up by Fazbear Entertainment is canon.

Along these same lines, keep in mind that I DO tend to use pictures of me and my family in the games just because they are so readily available. My little boy, Jason, is the face of “The one you should not have killed” in UCN. I’ll share the original sometime; he looks sweet as an angel in the original picture and I turned him into a monster! In FNAF 4, I used a picture of a mountain range that I took while I was a truck driver in West Texas. I used a picture of a snowman that me and my older sons made together. I used a picture of a pet Mockingbird that we nursed back to health one year. Do these have lore significance? Well, you probably already know the answer.

Again, this doesn't mean you have to agree with any of it. I'm always available for a good roasting (and I sometimes deserve it), although I will say that I appreciate the fandom being polite about it, which everyone usually is. :)"

Whatever's in the box hasn't mattered in, like, forever. It's probably been retconned away anyways.

if Game Theory is at all accurate, it's been retconned about 3 times and ended up being the Pizzeria Simulator location, since the map of the area looks likes a/the box.

To be clear: Mat pat sugest that back them when FNAF 4 was for real really for reals the final chapter of the series that everything have being kid allutionations in reallity and that Scott was kinda curious if the fanbase will acepted that way since it kinda look like a cop up.

Which it bring a point in theorycrafting that is hard to said what is a valid point in the series and what is scott reconing stuff so you always need to be alert you dont know, a good example is Puppet being a girl rather than a boy.

All Just a Dream is the one of worst cop-out endings possible, I don't think it would have gone very well with the community.

The value of All Just a Dream should be that the protagonist has changed in some fashion, and if that's achievedthen I think people who overlook that are missing the point.

I mean, FNAF 4 was all technically All Just a Dream too? I'd have accepted that ending because FNAF 1 to 3 still happened, and FNAF 4 just gave "closure" and "context" to what happened in those games.

Not really. All Just a Dream is when the fact events were a dream was a twist. FNAF 4 you know it going in today these are nightmares.
