The world has moved on after massive earthquakes and dimensional rifts have plagued Japan in the early years of 20XX. Shinra and other concerned agencies are still struggling with the aftermath of the rifts that still plague the archipelago from time to time.

A mysterious group plots to bring the downfall of the world by attempting to bring various eras, from the past, present and the future, together in order to cause chaos on a bigger scale. Individuals of different ideologies and backgrounds would need to work together to defeat this new threat or their worlds would cease to exist forever.

An ancient artifact was stolen from a museum where a public exhibition was suppose to take place in Japanese territory, starting events that would lead to reports of worldwide dimension rifts instead of Japan-only rifts.

Our story begins when the Metropolitan Police Service launches a raid when they got word of the artifact's supposed presence somewhere in the United Kingdom, thanks to intelligence acquired from INTERPOL. On that day, they would have no idea that the raid itself would be the beginning of things to come...

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is the introduction to Crisis, a RP game based on characters from published game franchises/series by Capcom, Namco and Sega. This also includes characters from game series/franchises/etc. that were published by the three companies in certain parts of the world. As long as the big three published a game in a certain region in case of a different publisher, then they're qualified. This'll be a sequel to Namco X Capcom, Endless Frontier and Frontier EXCEED alongside the Marvel vs Street Fighter and Capcom games with the Tatsunoko vs Capcom and Capcom-published SNK vs Capcom games and some characters from other franchises in crossover games published by the three companies too with some differences and mixtures and all.

I had a first attempt which didn't go to well due to a lack of responses, so I've been trying to do brainstorming in terms of what types of characters/mooks/bosses could work and not work.

I suggest to use this post as a reference in case you're having a hard time in deciding a character to use from Capcom/Namco/Sega.

Basic rules still apply such as no godmodding, metagaming, autohitting and not to take over characters from RPers apply unless it's been arranged.

A unique rule in this RP in using secondary characters is to use a character published by another company. (E.g. If you use a Sega character as your first choice, then choose a Capcom or a Namco character) In this way, the roster can be balanced and not dominated exclusively by one company.

If there are doubts on the rule/if you want to offer a suggestion on how to implement it better, then please head here and give your input it has been discussed before as a part of brainstorming.

Something came to my attention regarding the use of two characters as a single unit. While I had no problem with this, I only allowed it if the said characters are from the same franchise/series. It was then raised with the others to see if a compromise can be done. Satisfied with the small debate, I have three conditions for this:

1. The two characters from the same franchise/series (eg Dante and Lady, Guy and Cody).

2. Two characters from different series/franchises, but under the same company (eg Frank and Hsein-Ko from Dead Rising and Darkstalkers, but are under Capcom)

3. Two characters from different series/franchises and companies (eg Leanne from Resonance of Fate and HUNK from the Resident Evil series).

This rule will be applied on a case-by-case basis.

Meanwhile, I would like to go on the record and say that any thoughts on using a second character can be entertained after the RPer has been with us for at least two in-game chapters to be fair.

For this RP, I'm allowing characters up to Type 4 Superweight, given how most of them fight in Project x Zone such as Chris and Jill from the Resident Evil series.

If there are discrepancies, I have the right ask for clarification to make sure that it follows this sheet. Or else it can be rejected if my advice is not followed.

Signup sheet:

  • Name: Self-explanatory.
  • Appearance: Preference is for an image link. If you can't find one, describe the character as best as you can.
  • Franchise/Series: Where is the character taken from?
  • Universe: Important especially if the character comes from different universes in a said game franchise/series.
  • Publisher: Who was the publisher responsible for publishing the character?*
  • Background: The history of said character before getting in the RP
  • Skills: What kind of skills the character has?
  • Equipment: If the character has equipment with them, let me know what he/she/it has. And try to keep it at a reasonable limit. Thanks. Otherwise, feel free to ignore this.
  • Comment: Is there anything important that you may need to tell the GM/the RPers regarding the character?

Roster: (To be updated when characters are approved)

  • Name: Kite
  • Appearance:
  • Franchise/Series: .hack
  • Universe: The World
  • Publisher: Namco/Bandai
  • Skills: See Equipment for most of the skills.
    • Data Drain - Kite's signature ability granted by the Twilight Bracelet. It acts in two fashions. It either removes invulnerability from its target, or it does a huge amount of damage by disrupting the enemies body.
However, this attack is not without cost. It costs little power to activate, but it forces Kite to absorb random data from the enemy. Most of it turns into either a Virus Core or a piece of equipment and the rest turns into Data Bugs within Kite's body. Data Bugs fade over time, but the more data bugs in Kite the more likely Kite will get some kind of feedback from the bracelet. Feedback comes in the form of various status ailments, health/mp loss or even gain, or when Data Bugs are really high Killed Off for Real.
  • Gate Hacking - Another power of the Braclet. Kite can use Gate Hacking to break through a locked area that is normally inaccessible by Chaos Gate. Outside The World this works on any portal that links to some kind of Cyberspace.
  • Equipment:
    • Inventory - While currently empty, Kite has a fairly large though finite Hammer Space that can hold Weapons, Armor, and Consumable Items.
    • Weapon: Sublimer
      • Darkness Slash - A powerful four hit combo using Dark Element
      • Flame Vortex - A five hit strike in a circle around Kite using Fire Element.
      • Typhoon Blade - A fifteen hit combo using Wood element.
    • Head: Angel's Cap
      • Pha Repth - The strongest type of Heal to a single target.
      • Rip Maen - Revives its target. (Only works on other The World P Cs.)
    • Body: Able Lamellar
      • MeRai Rom - Tier three (second best) Area Lightning Spell. Conjures a lighting tornado striking a small area.
      • Rig Saem - Grants HP regeneration temporarily to one target
    • Hands: Cats Gloves
      • Rip Teyn - Cures Poison, Paralysis, Speed Down, and Physical Power/Accuracy Down.
      • Rip Synk - Cures Curse, Sleep, Confusion, Charm, and Magical Power/Accuracy Down.
    • Leg: Alert Greaves
      • PhaRai Kruz - Tier 4 (strongest) single target Lightning attack. Thunder balls appear around the target and converge onto the target.
      • OrGan Zot - Tier 3 small area Earth attack, raises Earth columns to slam into the target from underneath.
  • Comment:
    • Kite is still logged into The World, an MMORPG. So he is a being made of data which is a complicated enough world that it can handle transitioning to the real world and vice versa. Some things may and may not apply to Kite that would not apply to just about anything else. Namely, Death Is Cheap is the norm for Kite. Unless he dies by an attack that hacks into him (ala Data Drain or super powerful magics etc), when Kite dies his body shifts into ghost form after a few seconds if he has a party, and if not his body dematerializes and tries to find a route back to The World to resurrect in Mac Anu. This is not intended to be over powered or to weaken drama in the story, in fact I mean it to draw out some drama by being one of the few players that does die and the ordeal he has to go through. (If Kite is stuck as a ghost attached to the party, he won't be able to help with anything and he'll be stuck like that until his party can find a Resurrect from The World or they someone arrive back at Mac Anu or another town in The World.)

Your interpretation of Kite is interesting. Somehow reminds me of how he and Black Rose got to Akihabara from Mac Anu despite not being able to lock out. Will that happen with this Kite?

Thanks, SR. I'll put him in the roster since he looks fine and dandy.

  • Name: Orlok the Eternal
  • Appearance: He's a giant(ish) robot!
  • Franchise/Series: Universe At War
  • Universe: N/A
  • Publisher: SEGA
  • Background: Orlok has been a commander in the Hierarchy's military forces for hundreds of years, destroyed countless foes and has survived, commanded and emerged victorious from so many battles and campaigns that he earned the epithet: The Eternal for his seeming inability to die. Though lately, he grows weary from the honorless and nigh-barbaric slaughters that his superiors force into his hands whenever they encounter a populated planet with a relatively low technology level... Like Earth.
  • Skills: Greatly experienced and hardened military commander, tough enough to laugh off grenades and other small-arms fire, has more than sufficient strength to bull through any human-made obstacle without much difficulty and is a highly skilled tactician.
  • Equipment: 30mm plasma burst cannon on right shoulder, "Crusher" tractor beam/material compactor for a right arm, Electromagnetic siege mortar (Can't be used in conjunction w/ plasma cannon and uses whatever material the Crusher sucks in as ammunition), superheavy "Endurance" armor plating (Both Plasma cannon and Siege mortar are unusable while the armor plates are deployed), Wrist-mounted Flamethrower on left arm (Possible upgrade?)
  • Comment: He stands at 12 feet tall and weighs just shy of 9 tons.

I forgot to put in Gate Hacking. :P.

I haven't decided just how I want this Kite to enter the Crossover, but it will probably start in the same fashion that Project X showed traveling via portal. Kite will use the Chaos Gate for whatever reason and it takes him to Akihabara, or another place where the other R Pers are.

Or we can take the road Project X had and have everyone come to The World to meet Kite. In which case yea, same as Project X. Kite initiates an Area Out for the party to go back to Mac Anu and end up elsewhere.

Orlok starts the game as a mini-boss, leading a team of hierarchy grunts to scout out the starting location for any military presence that hasn't been already destroyed by the main forces.

@SR

- I was wondering why no Gate Hacking skill was there with Kite. Thanks for the suggestions. I can work something out.

@Strigon

- Thanks for the answer. Just wanted to check.

If anyone else has signups posted later, I'll check 'em later since I need to be in bed. But I may be able to drop by and have a quick browse.

Forgot to mention this: But Orlok's Crusher beam can also be used as a gravity gun, but much more potent and powerful than the one in the Free Man's arsenal.

  • Name: Ryu

  • Appearance: Heyo.

  • Company: Capcom

  • Universe: Street Fighter (IV specifically, before meeting Gouken).

  • Backstory: Ryu was adopted by the Ansatsuken master Gouken after he had been found abandoned as an infant. It didn't take long for Gouken to decide to make Ryu his disciple, and training began as soon as Ryu was old enough to withstand it. During Ryu's childhood, Gouken also took on Ken Masters, the son of one of Goukens dearest friends, as an apprentice. Ryu and Ken bonded almost immediately, forming an unbreakable friendship and rivalry that would spur them both on for the rest of their lives.

When Ryu turned 23, Gouken decided his students were ready to test their skills in the world. Taking his words to heart, they both entered the World's Warrior tournament, an event hosted and championed by the King of Muay Thai, Sagat. Ryu managed to best all of his opponents, eventually meeting the one-eyed giant in the finals. It was a ferocious match, but things took a turn for the worse at the very end. Ryu, backed into a corner by Sagats power and skill, accidentally awakened the Satsui no Hado withing him. This gave him a tremendous power boost, but also removed all restraint. Ryu used the Metsu Shoryuken and, empowered by the Satsui no Hado, gave Sagat a diagonal scar across his chest that would never disappear.

Horrified by what he had done, Ryu cut his journey short and returned home in order to consult with his master. However, when he arrived there, he found that Gouken had apparently been murdered by his brother Akuma. He set out to confront his masters killer, eventually finding him on the island of Gokuentou. After a vicious battle, Akuma reveals that he had just been testing Ryu, and found him wanting. However, Akuma also felt the Satsui no Hado within Ryu, and would devote much time trying to make Ryu succumb to it in order to have a worthy opponent. Akuma then demonstrates the Satsui no Hados power by destroying the island with a single punch.

After he swam back to civilization, Ryu was despondent and full of self-doubt. He went to Ken and spared with him, and lost soundly. Ken, unable to bare seeing his friend so desolate, gave Ryu his red headband. Ryu, greatly touched, would proceed to wear that headband for a great many years to come.

Soon after, Ryu met Sakura Kasugano, a highschooler who had watched Ryu during the World Warrior tournament and became his fan. She insisted that he train her, while he insisted that he still had far too much to learn himself, and eventually Sakura settled for a promise that she would get him to teach her eventually (and a picture).

Ryu continues his travels and is eventually found by Sagat, who held a grudge against Ryu for the scar across his chest. Sagat demanded a rematch, and though he tried to avoid it because he believed Sagat to still be injured, Sagat forced the issue until he had no choice but to defend himself. Ryu lost on purpose, and parted ways with the King of Muay Thai believing the matter settled.

Two years after his second confrontation with Sagat, Ryu finds himself still troubled over the whole Akuma situation. He soon ran into a mysterious woman named Rose (who is actually Bison's good side) who tells him that if he confronted Bison, he wouldn't be able to win without "sacrificing his soul". Ryu, unable to simply allow Bisons atrocities to continue, challenged the dictator anyway. He lost soundly, and Bison began to brainwash Ryu with his Psycho Power (which he was able to do because his power resonated with Ryu's Satsui no Hado).

Before the brainwashing could be completed, Bison and Ryu are found by Ken, Sakura, and Sagat. While Ken and Sakura had come because Rose had told them the score and they were worried for their friend/hero, Sagat came because he realized that Ryu had been holding back two years ago and he wanted a real rematch. Subsequently, while Ken and Sakura attacked the Psycho Dictator to defend Ryu, Sagat confronted the half-controlled Ryu himself. After a brief fight, Sagat manages to talk Ryu back to his senses. Ryu then battled Bison once again, and defeats him. Bisons Psycho Power had been tearing his body apart already, so when Ryu landed the final blow (the Shin Shoryuken, which is weaker than it could have been because Ryu hadn't mastered it yet), the stress was too much, and the Dictator died (this is notable because Ryu has never felt guilt for this, probably because it's Bison).

Sometime after parting ways with his friends and Sagat, Ryu entered the second World Warrior tournament. After many hard battles, he eventually made it to the finals, where he discovered his final opponent was none other than a revived M. Bison. The battle was a long and difficult one, Ryus Hado barely able to match Bisons Psycho Power. However, before the battle could truly be finished, Akuma emerged and killed Bison again with the Shun Goku Satsu. It briefly appeared that Akuma was going to challenge Ryu, but he ultimately decided that Ryu was not yet ready.

A few years later, Ryu enters yet another global tournament, both to test his skills and to see his friends again. After having a rematch with Ken and giving Sakura some advice and encouragement, Ryu finally met his opponent for the semifinals: Sagat. In the time since the two warriors had seen each other, Sagat had become able to let go of the hatred and resentment that had been dogging him ever since his first defeat, and he challenged Ryu to fight one last time in order to rid all bad blood between them. Even though Ryu won, neither warrior held anything back, and so Sagat left for home, having at last found his closure.

Ryu is now visiting Japan before traveling to the place where the final round is to be held, utterly unsuspecting of the shenanigans that await him.

  • Skills: Ryu is one of the most accomplished martial artists from his world, having trained under arguably the World'sStrongestMan for most of his life. He has the skill, strength, and tenacity developed over a lifetime of fighting. He is able to manipulate the Hado, an energy similar to ki that only a few possess. He is also able of forming a unique "flame" Hadoken, which is stronger than a regular Hadoken but weaker than the Shinku Hadoken. Ryu also has the Satsui no Hado within him, a source of great and terrible power. However, because he is both honorable and just a good person all around, he despises the Satsui no Hado and will never willingly use it. Also, he has very tough feet, because he walks barefoot everywhere.

  • Comments: In order to clear up any internal power level problems, I'm just going to post my own headcannon for the strength of some of Ryu's super moves. It goes Shin Tatsumaki Senpu Kyaku—>Shin Hadoken—>Unmastered Shin Shoryuken—>Metsu Hadoken—>Metsu Shoryuken—>Denjin Hadoken (which he doesn't know yet)—>Mastered Shin Shoryuken (which he also doesn't know yet). I think the Shoryuken techniques are stronger on the whole than those of the Hadoken because Ansatsuken seems to lean more towards the former (looking at you Ken). As for the Shin Shoryuken thing...the Shin Shoryuken was his strongest move in the Alpha games, then he switches it out for the Metsu Shoryuken in IV before switching back in III. If you disagree with any of this, please say so. Also, he comes from a slight AU, since Ken canonically beat him in Street Fighter 2.

  • Name:Nero
  • Appearance:This arm can sure pack a punch!
  • Franchise/Series:Devil May Cry
  • Universe:The original Devil may cry.
  • Publisher:Capcom.
  • Background:Little about him is known, except that he was raised in the city of Fortuna as an orphan and taken in by Kyrie's and Credo's family since childhood, growing into young adulthood together.Nero got his name from a black blanket in which he was found.
Mentioned in an incident report, a number of demons appeared suddenly from the Mitis Forest and attacked Fortuna. Luckily, Nero was present at the scene and exterminated all of the demons. During this incident, Kyrie, who was accompanying Nero, was injured while Nero received a minor injury to his right shoulder. Nero's sword, the Red Queen, was damaged and sent for repair. Kyrie recovered completely, but Nero's shoulder never healed, and he continued to carry his arm in a sling after the incident. On the day of the Festival of the Blade, Nero barely manages to make it to Kyrie's performance in time after dealing with a group of demons, with a man in red secretly watching him from the rooftops.

He leaves her a gift and then prepares to leave, having grown tired of Sanctus's preaching. Just before he can, though, the mysterious man in red bursts in through the glass ceiling during a prayer and slays Sanctus, the leader of the Order. Before the assassin (who is later revealed to be Dante) can confirm the kill, Credo, along with a battalion of knights confront him, but are completely outmatched. Kyrie, seeing that Dante is going to kill her brother, finally escapes Nero's hold on her and runs to them, but is knocked down in the process.

When Nero sees the man in red looming over Kyrie, he kicks him in the face and orders Credo and Kyrie to go get help while he stalls Dante. The two fight, and Nero is forced to reveal his Devil Bringer. With it, he is able to knock Dante back and impale him with his own sword on Sparda's statue. But Dante, who isn't just a mere mortal, frees himself and jumps down. Nero states that Dante isn't human, to which Dante then pulls Rebellion out and comments that they're the same, and points out the knights he had slain, who turned out to be demons. Confused, Nero watches as Dante flees the scene.

Shortly after, Kyrie returns Nero's sword,Red Queen,at Credo's request. Credo gives an order to Nero - to pursue the man in red, with witnesses seeing him heading to Fortuna Castle. Suddenly, all three feel the building shudder, and leave to discover the city's citizens being attacked by demons. While Kyrie and Credo lead the survivors back to headquarters, Nero fights off the remaining demons. However, Nero soon discovers a series of Hell Gates are being opened all over the island he lives on.While exploring the castle, Nero stumbles upon a secret underground laboratory of the Order, where he meets Agnus, the Order's Chief Alchemist. Agnus reveals that he created the Hell Gates and uses them to summon demons, which he needs for his experiments. Agnus also reveals that by using this power, Sanctus hopes to rule the world by using the Savior, the god-like being the Order constructed.

Agnus has Nero nearly killed by his Angelos, but Nero dramatically unleashes his Devil Trigger, gaining a phantom-like appearance. In this form, Nero manages to repair Yamato, the broken sword of Dante's fallen brother, Vergil, which Agnus had kept in a containment field in his lab. Nero forces Agnus to reveal his Angelo form and retreat.Nero heads towards The Order's headquarters, believing Credo knows more about what is going on. He crosses a bridge which leads into a cave concealed by a the Foris Falls and finds himself in the Mitis Forest. Here, Dante bumps into him, but their encounter is very brief. Dante apologizes snidely to Nero, stating that "it'll have to wait", and then jumps off a cliff. Nero fights countless demons on his way through the forest and eventually banishes Echidna the She-Viper, a dragon-like demon who treats the demons of the forest as her children. After that, Nero reaches the Headquarters without any other surprises. At the entrance he is met by Credo, whereupon Nero asks who Dante is. Credo draws his blade and exclaims that Nero does not have the authority to demand answers from him.Nero reflexively uses his Devil Bringer to block an attack from Credo, exposing his secret. Realizing that Agnus, who brought news of Nero's demonic power to the Orders' commanders only moments earlier, was right, Credo transforms into his Angelo form and declares that Nero is under arrest. A fight ensues, after which Credo returns to his human form and Nero emerges victorious, but Kyrie, appearing seemingly from nowhere, screams out when she beholds what she interprets as Nero, with a demon arm, trying to kill Credo.Nero tries to explain and calm Kyrie, but Agnus swoops in and captures her, revealing Sanctus's desire to use her to get to Nero. Credo is furious as Agnus flies away with Kyrie, so he asks Nero to put aside this fight and vows to get to the truth from Sanctus. While Credo flies off to see Sanctus, Nero pursues Agnus and Kyrie.Nero finds and fights Agnus in the Order's headquarters and succeeds in defeating him. Just as Nero is about to finish off Agnus, an army of Bianco Angelos, lead by none other than Sanctus himself, in the armor of an Alto Angelo swoops in to his aid.As Sanctus leaves with Kyrie, Nero jumps after her, but he is only able to grab her necklace, which he gave her as a gift back at the cathedral.Nero turns around and continues to pursue Agnus, Sanctus, and Kyrie, however, he runs into Dante on his way out. Nero tries to ignore Dante, but Dante reveals that he wants Yamato back because it used to belong to his brother, Vergil.Nero refuses, causing another fight between them. Although Nero is wielding Yamato, Dante is able to beat him, though he will not kill him. Although Dante wants his brother's sword back, he allows Nero to keep it for now, seeing how he needs it and that he is calm headed. Dante asks Nero's name and so he reveals it to Dante, also commenting that each other's names were "not bad", showing their mutual respect.

Nero later finds Sanctus next to a giant statue resembling Sparda, which is the Savior. Sanctus asks Nero if he wishes to surrender himself and form the Savior's core together with Kyrie to which Nero refuses and attempts to rescue her, but fails and falls into Sanctus's trap. In the process, Sanctus takes the Yamato from Nero. Suddenly, Credo appears, enraged because Sanctus had used Kyrie, and attacks his former superior. Sanctus runs him through with Yamato, causing a mortal wound, and Credo falls off the Savior but is caught by Dante. He, together with Trish, witness as Nero is absorbed into the heart of the Savior. The Savior awakens and flies toward Fortuna. Credo asks Dante to honor one last request, to save both Kyrie and Nero, after which he dies.Much later, Dante, having retrieved Yamato and destroyed all the Hell Gates, faces off against the Savior. After weakening the Savior's exterior, Dante thrusts Yamato into the core of the statue, awakening Nero and allowing him to escape the heart-like organ imprisoning him. After completing a number of trials within the Savior, Nero finally confronts Sanctus. Sanctus, having achieved even greater levels of power with the Sparda, asks why Nero betrayed the Order. Nero answers that Sanctus has done enough foul deeds to make Nero hate him. During their exchanges, Sanctus also scoffs at Nero for being held back by love.Nero finally defeats Sanctus inside the Savior. In a final bid for victory, Sanctus implores Sparda for power, but his request remains unfulfilled. In a fit of rage, he asks why Sparda refuses to give him the power to kill Nero.

The sword remains silent, but Nero explains to Sanctus that although Sparda was a demon, he did have a heart, one that could love another person. Lacking this, the sword will not grant his request for power. Nero saves Kyrie and kills Sanctus, and they escape the Savior.Although it seems that all is finally over, the Savior suddenly transforms into the form of the False Savior, taking on Sanctus' appearance. Nero asks to fight in Dante's stead, and Dante acquiesces. Nero offers a quick prayer to God, during which he explains how he's come to terms with his demonic power, and destroys the False Savior and Sanctus once and for all by using it.Nero meets up with Dante, with whom he exchanges thanks and friendship. With Dante about to leave, Nero tries to return Yamato back to him, but he refuses to take it saying it's now entrusted to Nero. In their final moments together, Nero asks Dante if they'll meet again, but Dante just vaguely waves in answer.

  • Skills:
    • Being Half-Demon,Nero can take damage that would normally kill a human being.
    • Devil Bringer:The Devil Bringer is Nero's right arm, and the physical manifestation of his demonic power. The arm possesses superhuman strength, which it can also manifest through a larger, spectral arm,the spectral arm also can grab someone and pull a enemy from far away to him, both moves called Buster and Snatch.though both moves can be blocked by magical protection or other things.
    • Devil Trigger:Nero, like all other Half-demons and full blooded demons, which allows them to release their full supernatural potential.Nero Summons a Phantom-like being for his Devil Trigger, when Nero attacks, the Demon will also attack his enemys, his Devil bringer Buster will deal more damage and be more powerful, and he will use Summoned Swords everytime he shoots with the Blue Rose.
  • Equipment:
    • Red Queen:The Red Queen is a sword belonging to Nero, It is a customized version of the blades used by the Order of the Sword and designed by Agnus. It is not a Devil Arm, but its unique construction makes it just as powerful.its most unique feature is that it has been specially customized with a motorcycle-like gear shift which, when pulled, sprays a flammable propellant across the blade and opponent, greatly increasing the power of its blows.
    • Blue Rose:The Blue Rose is Nero's personally designed long-ranged weapon. It is a unique revolver with an over and under barrel style, this design allows it to fire two magnum rounds with each pull of the trigger.the Blue Rose can be charged by Nero channeling energy from the Devil Bringer into the revolver, greatly increasing the damage the blue rose does, but taking some time for the energy to charge into the revolver.
    • Yamato:The katana once used by the Dark Knight Sparda, given as a keepsake for Vergil, now given as a gift for Nero thanks to Dante.Nero normally keeps it hidden on his devil bringer, able to summon it at will and also hide it easily.
  • Comment:Nothing at all! but tell me if something needs change.

  • Name: Josuke Higashikata
  • Appearance: Along with his Stand, Crazy Diamond.
  • Franchise/Series: Jojos Bizarre Adventure All Star Battle, (from the manga's 4th part, Diamond Is Unbreakable)
  • Publisher: Namco-Bandai.
  • Background: Josuke is confronted by his (older) nephew, Jotaro Kujo, to eradicate evil Stand users from his hometown, Morioh. They track down and fight several Stand users in order to retrieve the Bow and Arrow, the object that creates Stand users. But eventually they learn of a serial killer Stand user, and after he kills one of their friends, vow to find him. When they do find Yoshikage Kira a fight ensues, however he is able to flee and, using another person's Stand, changes his face and assumes someone else's identity. They eventually find him again and are able to kill him.
  • Skills: He has the Stand power called Crazy Diamond, which has the next abilities...
    • Close Combat: Crazy Diamond possesses a large amount of physical strength, arguably greater than that of Star Platinum, coupled with great attack speed.
    • Restoration: Crazy Diamond is capable of the restoration of objects and organisms. Able to repair damages and heal injuries, it can also revert an item back to its original components (i.e. reverting a table back into its component lumber), or fuse objects together, such as fusing Angelo with a rock. This ability allows Crazy Diamond to perform a range of interesting feats, including trapping the enemy (by restoring pieces of a broken crate around the target), making a stand bound to an object return to its original appearance and tracking (restoring a torn piece of clothing, which will seek out and reattach itself to the original article of clothing). However, Crazy Diamond cannot resurrect the dead, and if Crazy Diamond's ability is used when Josuke is in a foul mood, the item will warp and be improperly restored. Crazy Diamond also cannot heal his own user and neither repair things erased from existence.
  • Equipment: Besides his custom school-uniform, he doesn't have any kind of particular gear.
  • Comment:
    • He goes absolutely ballistic when someone dares to insult his pompadour.
    • He's an overall nice guy, and will to go through any means necessary in order to save a friend.
  • For more information, refer to: JosukeHigashikata's wiki entry.

Morning all.

Your signups look okay, so they're in.

Except that I'll go and wait for SR to see if he'll update his signup with some background on Kite.

I should go and post mine now.

  • Name: Sergeant Ben "Mitch" Mitchell
  • Appearance: Don't mess with this copper.
  • Franchise/Series: The Getaway: Black Monday
  • Universe: Based on the Black Monday ending where he, Jackie and Sam survive the events of Black Monday
  • Publisher: Sega *
  • Background: Mitch was a troublemaker in his youth, which included taking drugs, before he entered the British Army. After his tour of duty, Mitch joined up with the Metropolitan Police Service as a Constable before he joined up with its Specialist Operations 19 unit or SO19. He was promoted to the rank of Sergeant during his time with the unit before he got suspended for shooting an armed teenager at the back. After the end of the suspension, Mitch got involved in a series of events that got him mixed up with an amateur boxer/bank robber and a teenaged hacker in a series of shootings and murders that the British media dubbed "Black Monday" since most of the events took place on a Monday. Currently, he's still a Sergeant under the reorganized Specialist Crime & Operations 19 unit. Mitch is deployed on an SCO19 operation to raid a suspected location where a stolen artifact was reported to be seen based on Interpol intelligence reports...
  • Skills:
    • Knows how to handle small arms, thanks to his time with the British Army and with SCO19.
    • Familiar in CQC, which includes all types of entry tactics and infiltration/exfiltration methods, as well as fast roping and rappelling. He can do a combat roll.
    • His leadership was key in leading SO19 elements against the Skobel Gang after his previous commanding officer was killed during an anti-Skobel Gang operation.
    • Known enough unarmed combat to defend himself, especially when fighting and when restraining armed offenders before being arrested. Although he won't hesitate to bring the fight to the enemy when needed.
    • Can handle various vehicles, including sedans, motorcycles and vans.
    • Thanks to his reputation, Mitch is also known to be an intimidator during interrogation of key suspects.
    • Knowledgeable on British criminal law to be familiar with it.
  • Equipment:
    • As of now, he's armed with a Heckler & Koch G36K outfitted with a single fire selector due to British police regulations. Mitch also has an EOTech holographic sight on his rifle via picatinny railing.
    • A Glock 17 serves as his sidearm, usually holstered. Has a detachable Glock-made taclight.
    • A tactical vest with four pistol magazines and assault rifle magazines and four flashbangs and tear gas grenades. A holster is strapped on his right leg with a gas mask pouch on his left leg (with an obvious respirator inside). A radio extender with an attached earpiece is also worn on the vest.
    • Some plasticuffs used to restrain suspects.
    • Wears a balaclava, a PASGT helmet and ballistic goggles with elbow/knee pads.
    • His clothing consist of an all-black tactical uniform and boots with gloves.
  • Comments: Nothing much, except to expect Mitch to be a snarker at times due to his troubles with his superiors when he got suspended for shooting an armed delinquent. He's also accused to being a loose cannon in terms of shooting first and asking questions later, which is part of his Berserk Button. Sometimes, his silence and stares tend to make people very nervous and afraid of him.

I'll also make an announcement on whether we can get secondary characters to use in the RP. But that will depend on how far we are in the RP.

  • Name: Bass (Forte in Japan), serial number SWN*-001
  • Appearance: Wily may fear you, but I do not!
  • Franchise/Series: Mega Man
  • Universe: Mega Man (Classic)
  • Publisher: Capcom
  • Background: Bass is a robot powered by the stupidly-named energy Bassnium, the most powerful energy in the world at the time he was built. Anyways, he was designed to be Mega Man's equal, and also to destroy Mega Man. He gained Mega Man's trust (who at the time didn't know he was one of Wily's creations) and stole the design of the Super Adapter, having his robot wolf companion Treble outfitted with it and using it to fight Mega Man. He was still defeated, and in the end rescued his creator from his collapsing castle. Afterwards, Wily's next plan involved reviving his past robots. Bass felt this was preventing him from accomplishing his sole purpose of defeating Mega Man, and as such assisted Mega Man in defeating the Robot Masters. Since then, he and Treble have been their own team. He'll oppose Wily if he feels he's getting in the way of Bass's thirst to be the strongest, and he'll gladly fight Mega Man whenever the opportunity presents itself.
  • Skills:
    • Bass Buster: Bass's own weapon. Either of his arms can transform into a machine-gun Arm Cannon that fires lots of weak shots. The shots don't deviate from where he aims, but he can't move while shooting, can't shoot through walls, and again- they're weak shots. That said, the shots can still disarm weapons and shields if you don't keep a tight grip.
    • Dash: Video Game Dashing.
    • Floating: Using Bassnium, Bass can suspend himself in the air surrounded by a harmless green, flaming aura. Used simply for show when making an entrance.
    • Variable Weapons System: Like Mega Man, Bass copies the abilities of Robot Masters that he defeats. Sadly he won't get to show it off that much, but he'll still have some weapons from past adventures, which either includes or is:
      • Tengu Blade: Bass throws a spinning energy blade that bounces off of walls. Bass can also use the blade as a melee weapon.
      • Spread Drill: A huge, slow drill that can split into two smaller drills that splits again into an overall total of four small, fast drills.
      • Commando Bomb: A remote-controlled missile that creates a large energy wave around the surface it detonates upon.
Equipment:
  • Treble (Gospel in Japan): Bass's wolf companion, and his one true friend. He can transform into...
    • Treble Boost: A cool adapter for Bass, giving him a sweet purple color scheme, wings, and free flight. This is an upgraded version of the Super Adapter from earlier, and Bass can still use his busters while using it.
  • Step Booster: A Bass-only item from Mega Man & Bass, it lets Bass climb ladders at inhumanly fast speeds.
  • Comment: I felt giving him all the weapons from & Bass and 10 would be too broken, especially with Lightning Bolt as a weapon. So I just picked three that I felt suited Bass- a blade, a crowd-clearing drill, and a bomb. If there's no issues, I'll gladly give him all of his weapons back, though. Except Lightning Bolt. And yes, I included Step Booster as a joke.

Bumping the thread to update signup rules with an additional one regarding the use of two characters as a pair unit like how it was implemented in Namco x Capcom and Project x Zone.

Well you know, the natural pair unit to Kite is Blackrose. But you'll need to give me a couple days to think about it. I favor Mistral as Kite's ally.

The only consideration here is that with an ally, Kite and his partner can resurrect each-other assuming they haven't been Killed Off for Real with Rip Maen. I might need to take off Rip Maen, or sooner or later I'll have to show it off (as is the natural course of things) that they have to die together to be lost to the party until they get back to Mac Anu, or via a powerful magic/data drain.
