This thread is for questions regarding creating or cutting pages in Franchise/ namespace and Franchise Index.
As a reminder, being a Series Franchise doesn't mean a Work can have a Franchise/ page. For that it needs existing (not Red Link) and connected (official releases for the same trademark) Work pages in 3 different Mediums, not 3 pages for the same property in general.
If it doesn't meet those criteria, the section about related releases can be on page of the first installment.
For instance, Video Games. Take a look at this page. I guarantee that we don't even have that many listed in the Franchise namespace.
Also, I set up Franchise pages for Duke Nukem, Deer Hunter, and Grand Theft Auto.
Wouldn't it be more appropriate to list multiple games in a Franchise page as opposed to a Video Game page?

Upcoming works count, IIRC.
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.
Good to know - thanks!
Monopoly's a Franchise, with Pinball, Series and Tabletop Game... I wonder what tropes are common to all.
Disambig Needed: Help with those issues! tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13324299140A37493800&page=24#comment-576So I made Franchise. The Fast And The Furious and I am going to need some help. The original page has 800 some pages linked and I don't think I can do all of that changing on my own mainly because I am on my phone and while be on it until I get my computer fixed.

Fan-Preferred Couple cleanup thread- Should Film redirect to Franchise? Some things might only be in the movies?
Disambig Needed: Help with those issues! tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13324299140A37493800&page=24#comment-576I think so. Like it was also done to sperate it from the other film called The Fast and The Furious. Mentioned here. So it makes more sense to have it as a redirect.

Fan-Preferred Couple cleanup threadRedirect then disambig if Film. The Fast And The Furious 1955 is made. I'll try to chip in on the wicks.
Meanwhile I think Franchise.Philomena Cunk is misplaced as she only has Series/? Wikipedia link
TV and potentially Literature only, yes - I don't think they ever did radio. And the book's not got a works page and would be difficult to trope anyway. Doesn't seem to be a franchise.

It's been on Franchise Namespace Correction to be corrected
Charlotte In Multilink World got made recently with a web animation and a video game with no tropes listed
DO we need permission before we plot Franchise and First Installments? I was about to do one but I wanted to make sure before I start
Looks like Marvel's Loki now qualifies for a Franchise page - aside from the various comics listed under ComicBook.Loki we've got Series.Loki 2021, Webcomic.Alligator Loki 2022 and Literature.Loki Where Mischief Lies.
Any concerns?
Edited by Mrph1 on Apr 12th 2023 at 11:24:07 AM
The only concern would be where to locate the page.
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.I'd go for Franchise.Loki, unless there's a reason not to?
I have theoretical concerns with Marvel's Norse-equivalents taking the base title, because they're "adaptations" of Norse Mythology.
With that being said, no non-Marvel work titled Loki has a page on this wiki, so...
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.Would it be possible for VideoGame.Pac Man to be made into a Franchise page? As far as the three mediums go, VideoGame is the obvious one, and there's a few WesternAnimation shows that have pages. I'm not too sure about a third medium, though. There's a few notable Films that have Pac-Man in them, such as Wreck-It Ralph and Pixels, but those obviously aren't all about Pac-Man. There is at least one Pac-Man related page in the Pinball namespace, Mr. & Mrs. Pac-Man Pinball, but I don't know if Pinball is considered separate enough from VideoGame.
Ever wanted to see the most inexplicably horrifying intro to a game ever?Battlestar Galactica only has 2 forms of media. Series and video games.
Fan-Preferred Couple cleanup threadCould I make a Franchise.Cyberpunk page? We have TabletopGame.Cyberpunk, VideoGame.Cyberpunk 2077, and Anime.Cyberpunk Edgerunners.
Fan-Preferred Couple cleanup threadProbably can be done.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupProbably not the right time to do it but I was thinking about splitting Phineas and Ferb into a Franchise page. Would that work at the moment?
Does it have 3 different media tags? Let's see the animated series, two animated films, and a tabletop game. Seems like enough personally.

Fan-Preferred Couple cleanup threadSo don't split in this case right? A little new to this whole thread, sorry
Franchise/ pages are made when there are work pages for the series in at least three categories. WesternAnimation.Phineas And Ferb, WesternAnimation.Phineas And Ferb The Movie Across The2nd Dimension and TabletopGame.World Showcase Adventure make it look like an appropriate thing to do.

The Expanse gets ComicBook sequels in April, which potentially takes it into Franchise territory (literature, series, comic).
Not sure it really warrants a page yet, though?
(Also, hypothetically, do we wait for all three mediums to be in use, or can a Franchise page be created when one or more is still an upcoming work and has a works page on that basis?)
