Okay time for the test.

Milagros would be faced with a cosplayer in a Dialga outfit, "Have you heard the word about time? It's a magnificent thing!"

"Um, okay?" Milagros was clearly confused. "I don't have anything going on right now, so go ahead with whatever you want to do."

"Excellent!" The cosplayer cries, and begins a long winded spiel about the power of Dialga and how important they are to existence, only to suddenly lock eyes with Jaimie. And as all trainers, know, once you lock eyes then you must fight, thems the rules.

The Cosplayer tosses a pokeball and out pops a Honchkrow.

<Great another trainer, maybe Sam here would be a better preacher if he stopped fighting so many people!>

“Well, If you want a fight, surprise me,” Milagros said, pulling out a Pokeball. He threw it, and his Persian jumped out from it. “I haven’t had a fight in ages! Baby Cat, can you show this guy’s Pokemon your main attack?”

Baby Cat did a quick side nod, before pulling off some Fury Swipes on the Honchkrow.

The Honchkrow is scratched by the Fury Swipes but toughs it out, <Ouch> it mutters.

"Go! Return the favour!"

The Honchkrow proceeds to use Payback.

The move sent Baby Cat flying, but not far. He was still conscious, and he thankfully had a reasonable amount of HP left, but he was still injured.

"Are you okay?" Milagros asked. Baby Cat weakly nodded, waiting for another command. "Hm, what do I use against a dark type?"

Milagros then realised; one of the weaknesses of dark types are bug types. He had a Vespiquen, so he guessed that would do the trick. "Baby Cat, I'll need you to get into your Pokeball quickly..." Baby Cat did as told, and was in his Pokeball in under 5 seconds. "...so I can swap you over with Dot..."

Milagros took out Dot, his Vespiquen. "Ok, Dot. Can you use Confuse Ray quick?" Dot did as told, and used her Confuse Ray on the Honchkrow.

Due to the dark typing of the Honchkrow, the confuse ray does little.

"Didn't think that through did ya?!"

The Honckrow grins and proceeds to use Sucker Punch on Dot.

Dot was hit, and was sent flying towards Milagros. Both toppled over.

"He's right, I didn't think that through! DOT, GET OFF ME!" Dot got up on his command.

"Ok, I need to pick a Bug move this time. And I think I know what to do. Dot, use Fury Cutter!"

As usual, Dot followed Milagros' commands and used Fury Cutter on the Honchkrow.

The Honchkrow is knocked back quite a bit from the damage and is slightly dizzy, <Guuuuuh...>

The Dialga Cosplayer is looking a little worried.

Milagros grinned (basically the same way he smiles in my profile picture, yes my profile picture is a picture of Milagros), but his smile quickly faded because he realised he was smiling about about a Pokemon getting injured, and that was pretty low for him. Milagros, the guy who carries first aid kit around in case a person or their Pokemon gets hurt.

The Honchkrow faints, the Dialga cosplayer sighs and sprays his mon with a potion, "Shame. Lost the fight."

"Don't worry," Milagros said. "Though, I think that fight went a bit too quick..." Dot suddenly looked up in a "DON'T JINX IT, MILAGROS!" sort of way.

"Well yeah, you switched mid battle and I only had this one mon, I woulda healed had I beat that other mon," The cosplayer responds.

<Switchouts should be illegalized in Tourneys! All Tourneys should be final destination only!> The Honchkrow mutters.

"Still, it was fun!"

"Yeah, I guess switching Pokemon mid battle was kind of unfair..." Milagros sighed, putting his hands in his coat pockets. Dot still looked extremely nervous, as if the cosplayer was gonna pull out another Pokemon out of nowhere like a secret weapon or something.

"Should really get more mons," The Cosplayer noted, "Still. It was fun!"

The Cosplayer takes their Honchkrow and the two head off.

A solid start, I like the willingness to work with screwups or even poor choices, a good chance to take solid hits, I hadn't planned much further than the Honchkrow. I don't have any major criticisms myself but I'd say you did well and should be approved.

By the way, the screw up with using an attack which wouldn't do a lot of effect wasn't actually intentional. It was just me blindly using an attack which I thought would do *something*.

I'd say so but I'm just the tester, it'll be ultimately up to the mods of this little RP. Just be patient and the final verdict should come in when they're available.

Appearance: A kid with dirty blonde hair and hazel eyes (which change their color for a split second to indicate a change in emotion). Tall, likes to wear striped shirts (usually with blue stripes) and shorts, because they're comfy and easy to wear. Often wears red sneakers.

Any ties to any organizations: No

Region of Origin: Unova (Nuvema Town)

Backstory: As a child, Ian was a fun-loving individual and a bit of a prankster. He discovered his Psychic Powers at a very young age, which are limited telekinesis, empathy, and hypnosis.^note Though he rarely EVER uses this power, except for as a Last Resort. He tries his best to be kind to everyone he meets and he is very optimistic. He once snuck into Team Rocket's base on a dare, where one of the grunts spotted him. In a fit of terror, he hypnotized the grunt into doing That Russian Squat Dance, and filmed the hilarity before making his escape. guess how THAT ended up.

1: Pikachu (Starter)(Raised from Egg)

Nickname: Piku-chan

Personality: Piku-chan is a kind-hearted and brave 'mon who doesn't hesitate to protect those he cares about. Piku-chan is like this because Ian cared for and protected him when he was just a Pichu.

2: Oshawott (Starter, From Professor Juniper)

Nickname: Oshawittle (suggested by Ian's mother)

Gender: Male

Ability: Torrent

Personality: Oshawittle is as brave as a knight, however tends to be distracted by every female Pokemon he meets. (a chip off the old Brock, one might say...) Oshawittle always abides by the code of chivalry, reflecting his knight-like personality. Some might think he read one too many tales about King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table...

Starting Moveset: Razor Shell, Swords Dance, Protect (TM), Ice Beam

3: Larvesta (raised from Egg)

Nickname: Mothra

Gender: Female

Ability: Flame Body

Personality: In spite of her size, Mothra is a very kind, motherly individual. Due to this, she won't hesitate to attack when one of her friends is threatened... She is also as kind as her trainer.

Starting Moveset: String Shot, Psychic (TM), Morning Sun (Egg Move)

4: Ralts

Nickname: Raru

Gender: Male

Ability: Synchronize

Personality: Raru tends to be a bit shy, often hiding behind Ian's leg whenever he runs into a person or Pokemon he hasn't met. Raru tries his best to ease into any potential friendships that he makes...

Hey! Thank you for signing up for WAAPT! Couple thoughts before moving forward-

• The mon personalities are really nice, and it's excellent that you thought of them beforehand. We're all excited to see them in action.

• In general, having characters with abilities off the bat isn't allowed as per this essay. Also, immediate mass hypnosis as an ability is beyond the scope of what P Cs are allowed to have access to in WAAPT. If you have your heart set on a psychic first PC it's something that can theoretically be discussed, but our preference is for a player to be around for a while before giving their PC powers, so they know their way around how the powers do and don't work IRP. For instance, eye color changes to indicate emotion aren't really a marker of psychic ability in WAAPT. If that's meant to indicate something else, please do let us know about it before making plans around it.

• It's great that you already have a plan for your character's history and who they are as a person! Let us know if you want help adapting it to best fit the WAAPT lore.
