So guys, what is your opinion on the channel termination of Mumkey Jones? I'm not familiar with his content, vaguely described as an edgy channel, but why was he banned?

The allegued reason is "Hate Speech" but i have only seen video of him criticizing and making fun of Elliot Rodger.

I'm not sure I've even heard of him before.

Might be one of those channels that aren't very big but have a small dedicated following.

In any case, the most controversial part of all this is that he wanted to test the flag system and uploaded a private video to see what happened. It got flagged and afterwards the channel and his side channel got terminated.

This channel does a bunch of "why wouldn't survive [x]" videos. This is there most "out-there" one yet.

Well that was interesting. China Uncensored, a channel dedicated to uncensored news about mainland China, reports that some of their users were unsubscribed from their channel under falsely being accused of being bots by Google. The host doesn't know if this was a mistake, a bug, or some suspicious act by Google to please the CCP.

Is there a way to see videos in reverse upload order or by views AND rating? I'm trying to find funny videos but there's so many ALLCAPS vids with millions of views from this year and last year it's overwhelming without multiple filters.

Thats a good point actually, there are a LOT of horrible wars that time travelers never try to stop for whatever reason

It's easier to think that WWII can be stopped by killing Hitler, aka the personification of evil, that WWI can be stopped by anything really, since most of us were taught it was an inevitable trainwreck the Great Powers had lost control of.

That does remind me of one instance where a dude calls out a bunch of people going back in time to stop WWII for not stopping other horrible events like the Mongol Conquest. They actually encourage him to go do it if he cares so much, so he goes back in time and kills Genghis Khan.

And is never heard from again since it he was a descendent of Genghis Khan and so wound up deleting himself from existence.

Going back much more than 50 years is going to have just like... so many ramifications that preventing something is going to be more trouble than it's worth. Grandfather Paradox aside, it's so far long ago that it's impossible to tell if you're actually doing good even if the act itself is a positive.

It's for that reason I don't think, even if we get time-travel in the future, they wouldn't have sent someone to kill Hitler. They probably went after some douchenozzle from the 25th century, rather than go all the way to the 20th.

Looks like I misremembered the last part though. It was the Taiping Rebellion, not the Mongol Invasion.

People thinking killing Hitler would automatically prevent World War 2 seem to forget that there were others who help the Nazis gain power or just as fanatical as him. Killing him won't prevent the war but will make happen earlier or later depending who takes over after him.

I remember reading some stories where a time traveler refuse to kill Hitler since if he dies, much competent or worse leaders will take over, leading to more deaths or the Axis winning the war.

And in one story, a time traveler thought he could stop the rise of the Nazis by preventing Hitler from being born by poisoning the local well at the village his mother was from with a chemical that causes impotence from whoever drink from that well. But when he came back, much to his horror, despite Hitler was never born, the Nazis still exists and a much better leader, IIRC it was Gobbeles or something, took over the party and made things worse like using the poison from the well to create chemical weapons to eliminate any "inferior" races that saw by making them incapable of procreating. Oops.

When it comes to preventing Hitler from taking over the Nazi's, I'm always reminded of ''The Savage Time from Justice League where immortal Vandal Savage sends tech back to his younger self and puts Hitler on ice. The Nazi's are winning, but after Savage is beaten by the time traveling League, the Nazi's revive Hitler and the rest is history.

Oh, hey, look, another lengthy video about how Youtube's Copyright System is so barbaric, because a parody video managed to got copyright claimed over a few seconds.

Then there's the whole time paradox problem. You went back in time to kill Hitler, but that means that with dead Hitler, everything he did after you killed him never happened, meaning you have no reason to kill him, meaning you never went back in time, which means everything happens again since you didnt go back in time and never killed Hitler. Come to think of it (sorry for getting off-topic), has a time travel story ever brought up this paradox?

That's a variation on the Grandfather Paradox, which time travel stories have discussed at great length.

I'm not aware how often the Grandfather Paradox pops up in "go back to kill Hitler" stories, though.
