Sounds treyf if you ask me.

I get that the memes can't be troped on their own. But I still feel that the wiki shouldn't stamp out creepypastas and dumb internet stories. Even if they're cringe and bad, there's still some value in troping them.
As for We Can't Rewind, Lot's of the page is referencing sex. The work itself is really weird. Especially the YMMV page.
The Creepypastas (why does that autocapitalize) listed on Creepypasta are discrete works. Also Sturgeon's Law applies as with everything else.
Yeah, especially considering the more (in)famous creepypastas such as Jeff the Killer and Ben Drowned (even if the latter's moreso part of an ARG than a simple creepypasta).
(Don't) take me home. All works are meant to get attention. Doesn't mean we shouldn't trope them. I know you probably mean troll stuff, but I think there are some creepypastas that have thought and effort put into them. Tons of horror movies are schlocky garbage, but that doesn't mean we cutlist The Shining just because we don't like horror movies.
True, but there are technically creepypasta that are known in the mainstream...okay, it's basically just The Slender Man Mythos but still. In terms of quality and notoriety, fanfic is a better comparison.

I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe. The Shining is a mainstream work with mainstream cultural significance. A better comparison here would be fanfic.
Definitely. I wouldn't call myself a fan of creepypastas in the general sense as I've only barely looked at them, but I've come across a few I've enjoyed. Goatman, The Smiling Man, Search and Rescue Woods.

Candle Cove is genuinely well written. There's others too. Creepypasta is just "online horror stories". A lot of them are garbage, but that's not true of all of them.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessAnd even the garbage ones should still be tropable.
What about the ones where Mario rapes Baby Zelda to death?
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I think you’re the only one who’s thinking of edgy shock stuff like that. By “garbage”, I’m thinking of stuff like “evil spongebob lost episode!!1!”: garbage, but still tropeable and not written for purely shock value.

back lolfighteer did say we were working with different definitions.
If a Troll Fic is just shock shit like that, chances are it doesn't have enough well-applied tropes to have a page to begin with. Not to mention it might not even pass the content policy if it's just pure sex and rape and pedophilia to fuck with people. (Hey look, got us back on topic, kind of!)
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.Fighteer, please take a chill pill. There Is No Such Thing as Notability, and if a creepypasta has enough tropes for a work page, it can be evaluated like any other.
If Mario rapes Baby Zelda, then that's already a violation of the CP rule and doesn't need a new one.

I think fighteer was just speaking personally, not in their (his?) role as a mod. This is off-topic anyways
Absolute destiny... apeachalypse?Re: that yucky book:
No. Absolutely Not. What kind of sick fuck writes this shit where parents molest their kids while in the other kids' bodies and vice versa, and passes it off as a "Paranormal Romance"?
Two future stepsiblings switching bodies with their parents is an interesting concept. Too bad this sounds weirdly fixated on the sexual implications.
Kind of reminds me of this Saturday Night Live sketch. (SFW video, NSFW jokes)

I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe. And yet one of those reviews reads:
I think Amazon has a fairly low bar of entry anyway. Lots of trash ends up there. Was this published by any major outlet?
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe. They do. Musical Hell once mentioned finding Phantom pornfic on Amazon.
As for the other thing, the linked listing says it was published by something called "CreateSpace Independent Publishing Platform". Sounds pretty fly-by-night to me.

Amazon doesn't curate, so they don't fall under the "above our pay grade" exemption. Porn is a lot of their output.

We received an external message (via the contact form) requesting that we review the following example on Grand Theft Me, in the Literature section:
- One very strange no-sex "Sex Story" Of One Flesh (still very NSFW, however) involves an oddly non-villainous version of this in which a man and a little girl take turns controlling her body until she lets him take full control and swap his body, which is magically stored in the form of a doll, with hers. A bit of backstory indicates that this arrangement arose from a very strange Cursed with Awesome situation involving a kind of mutual theft that left them both forced to inhabit one body at the same time; judging by their attitudes toward each other, they've managed to work out some kind of understanding with each other and turn this situation to their mutual advantage.
The linked story is "pedo" tagged and has a disclaimer about disturbing content. I am not going to read it myself but it raises some red flags. Also I'm not sure it belongs in the Literature category, but that's a separate issue.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Oh it looks like a short one, I have the time.
Huh. Well as it says, the sex doesn't actually happen. The possessed child does pose as an underage prostitute, and hooks up a pedophile, but he doesn't get around to doing the deed before he's murdered and his house robbed by the possession duo. Bath scene also doesn't go into bodily descriptions where it clearly could have for "fanservice".

Huh so it's weirdly clean.
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you.""evil child deceives and murders a pedophile" is something that happens in other works (Skyrim comes to mind), so if it's not explicit, it's probably okay.
Well, that's another thing. We explicitly don't trope memes as memes. Part of the point of these works is to get attention, and by denying them that attention we can help stamp them out.
Ew, what?
