It is already YMMV. I reckon a TRS effort is required.
"Listen up, Marina, because this is SUPER important. Whatever you do, don't eat th“ “DON'T EAT WHAT?! Your text box ran out of space!”I came here after having read the Ask The Tropers query on the matter. I had removed Canada Eh from Tropes Needing TRS because its addition there was a hasty move.
I think the less essential parts of the description can benefit the Analysis tab, yes.
135 - 161 - 273 - 191 - 188 - 230 - 300I wasn't aware that this thread existed and I thought it had to go through TRS my bad.
CM Sandboxes, MB SandboxesNo problem.
135 - 161 - 273 - 191 - 188 - 230 - 300Same.
Which parts belong in the Analysis tab?
Me, I would say that the part about New Zealanders saying "Eh" more often than the most stereotypical Canadian definitely belongs in the Analysis tab (and I have included a link to the website that explains the phenomenon in New Zealand from a popular New Zealand-based website).
It would also be good to scrub some of the potholed fan myopia off.

Kirby is awesome.Any unnecessary potholes can be zorched.
More than just putting expendable stuff from the description there, though, the Analysis tab could provide a good (not necessarily lengthy) explanation as to how the trope came to be, and how popular culture has made use of it.
135 - 161 - 273 - 191 - 188 - 230 - 300The French version of Canada, Eh? is practically written the same way as the English version, but without the potholed fan myopia (mainly because the potholed fan myopia don't have French-language counterpart pages, though it has the Due South fan myopia (that links to the English-language version as a French-language version doesn't exist).
We could use the French version as a basis for the re-write.

Kirby is awesome. Why not just remove some of the Fan Myopia potholes for a start? It's not like all of us speak French easily enough to use that article as a basis for a rewrite.
In fact, I'll remove the more obviously useless potholes for not, and keep stuff that contextualizes the trope.
Without those, the description's not really that long. It's just padded by the lists, but those feel relevant to describing the trope and its variations.

I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.Thank you very much, mightymewtron!
Kirby is awesome.I've noticed a tendency for settings and regions stereotype tropes to get really bogged down in real life details and Canada Eh seems no different. I could support adding it to Tropes Needing TRS— a wick check might show some chairsy usage.
"It's just a show; I should really just relax"Kinda same with Goth.
"Listen up, Marina, because this is SUPER important. Whatever you do, don't eat th“ “DON'T EAT WHAT?! Your text box ran out of space!”Goth looks like it started out as a normal article, but then somebody got offended and tacked on a huge explanation of what Goth actually is, as if it's a Useful Note. It should be moved elsewhere.
Honestly, a good chunk of the description sounds unnecessarily bitter towards goth teens.

I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.Isn't Goth kinda chairs? Like Transgender?
"Listen up, Marina, because this is SUPER important. Whatever you do, don't eat th“ “DON'T EAT WHAT?! Your text box ran out of space!”No? It's a specific subculture and manifests in specific ways in media, and it usually says something about their personality.

I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.I see! Was just askin'.
"Listen up, Marina, because this is SUPER important. Whatever you do, don't eat th“ “DON'T EAT WHAT?! Your text box ran out of space!”I think Goth could be Useful Notes, actually.
Optimism is a duty.Yes, but do you mean the whole description or just the notey parts?
"Listen up, Marina, because this is SUPER important. Whatever you do, don't eat th“ “DON'T EAT WHAT?! Your text box ran out of space!”I think the whole page is basically Useful Notes. It is not describing a trope so much as a subculture.
Optimism is a duty. The first part of Goth is describing goth stereotypes, which are tropes.
I agreee with moving the non-trope parts, but I advice some fact-checking.
"Listen up, Marina, because this is SUPER important. Whatever you do, don't eat th“ “DON'T EAT WHAT?! Your text box ran out of space!”Canada Eh isn't really that long, IMO.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.Unrelated to the discussion above, but the Crowd Panic description is very, very brief. It's literally just three lines, barely a paragraph. It needs some expansion.
It requires not giving anyone around the time or space to check your credentials. Citing an emergency is an obvious ploy to do this, but it's not required. A slight rephrasing is needed.
On the matter of Canon Defilement, I would suggest making it into an audience reaction, of fans thinking a fic does not show the minimum respect for canon that would make them care for it as a story.

Stories don't tell us monsters exist; we knew that already. They show us that monsters can be trademarked and milked for years.
