A comment on this article brings up some interesting points as to what a revival for Metal Slug could use;
"What a Metal Slug Redux must have:
- Arcade-y money-munching hit box
- High-frame 2D animations
- Odd and funny animations and transformations
- tons of alt. routes/alt. levels
(NOW FOR THE MODERN STUFF)
- a map system to jump between paths to discover more routes
- online multiplayer"

The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests.Team Arcana will have a Heroines stream in the 27th. Possible announcement there?
They even remember this part of Skullomania's special attack!
The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests....man I hate Rule 63.
The only Gender Bender I ever liked was Ranma ½, and that was because I never watched it for anything but the fights and comedy (and it predated my disdain for the aforementioned Rule 63 as well).
I imagine that between this and Bowsette, I'm gonna get buried in shit like this now.

One Strip! One Strip!Takaki visited SNK's offices back in March so a Senran girl isn't out of the question.
Daidouji or riot! DAIDOUJI OR RIOT!
Apparently Masami Obari wants to do another "Fatal Fury" Anime (INB4 "Mai Shower Scene" jokes).
The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests.Yeah but given his filmography I'm half-expecting him to just do a Mai porn movie at this point.
I mean, SNK really does not seem averse to prostituting their characters. I remember some old gamebook-like Japanese duel game where you fought Mai and Iroha and the more you won the more of their clothes you blew off.
I didn't even realize that Manga was still going. KOF should get a manga. Focus it on Kyo and King. Mai will appear on the cover of every chapter.
Man, why wonder when this is the Internet and Mai is an old enough character?
Of course there is porn of her somewhere.
Growing up, it's like a civil war, don't turn away, it's something you can't ignore...I mean, she was supposedly based off a Porn Star wasn't she?
Not sure how factual that is, but...
One Strip! One Strip! You know there's currently running a bi-weekly manga of XIV, right?
Clearly I did not! But unless King is at least co-lead I probably won't care for it too much. I mean, Terry Bogard is cool and everything but he ain't royalty.
It follows the tradition of making only relevant Kyo and the current main character, in this case, Shun'ei. Even Iori has been reduced to glorified cameo.
Before he does a new Fatal Fury movie, I want Masami Obari to continue the Angel Blade series to resolve the unfinished story and its mysteries.

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus. If its the same books I'm thinking, then they also had Mina Majikina in them. I mean that'd be great for me if they didn't lighten her skin tone so
Another King fan. I knew you were cool.
She didn't seem that light to me...
And now that I think about it, Queens Blade somehow managed to have a bunch of popular fighting game girls guest star in it, including Dizzy, Ivy, Noel, Lili, and Kasumi.
As for Obari, I enjoyed Gravion way back when I watched it, and he seems to have had a hand in other things I've liked (such as Super Robot Wars). But I have no strong feelings about him otherwise.
Didn't KOF get an animated web series recently (I remember seeing something on Steam about it)? Was that any good?
It did. Some KOF fans enjoyed it but the general consensus I've heard from most people is that it wasn't very good, and I'm with that latter camp. It was made by a Chinese animation studio and everything looked a little off - weird character designs, stilted animation, and a not-so-great story where most everyone's out of character.
I think it's kind of telling that views and conversation about it, even here, mostly just evaporated as it went on, since it's more completely forgettable than flat out bad.
I dunno, maybe it was the scan quality I found, she looked only lightly tanned in the scans I found compared to ingame. I mean it could be worse (glares daggers at what Sega did to Vanessa Lewis.)
Has anyone here heard of a game called "Kimi no Yusha"? It's a JRPG made by SNK for the Nintendo DS that only released in Japan. The reason I bring it up is because I wanna talk about one of it's protagonists, Tio Ridgemond. I've brought her up some times before, but the common idea I had was that she'd be Nakoruru's replacement for the Another World Team. It's very unlikely that she would due to Nakoruru's popularity, though, so nowadays I like to think of her as an unofficial member of the team instead.
