Looks like server and/or database issues to me. I'm having trouble even posting right now, and refreshing does not help.
I'm having the OP's problem, too. Glad to know it's not my laptop's fault.

But soft! What rock through yonder window breaks? It is a brick! And Juliet is out cold.Having similar problems here. Sometimes I have to refresh for my posts/any new posts to show up, and sometimes my posts don't even show up at all.

Similar problems over here. So far they've gone away when I refresh, but they might stop doing that.
I'm using chrome.

Pretentious quote || In-joke from fandom you've never heard of || Shameless self-promotion || Something weird you'll habituate toSame problems here. Posting is likewise a crapshoot.
Unread marks aren't updating for me anywhere.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Likewise. I've even tried purging my cache and cookies multiple times, to no avail.
EDIT AGAIN: And it won't even update the number of posts on the thread list, or bump it up to the top. Nevermind, refreshing fixed that problem.

It's a caching problem. Control-refresh or Control F-5 forces a refresh and overrides the cache.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.I've been having the same problem. I can also confirm only refreshing the chache seems to help.
TV Tropes's No. 1 bread themed lesbian. she/her, fae/faerI'm having this problem. I was just in the Image Pickin' discussion for Big Beautiful Man (Madrugada was there too), and I tried to reply to his post #24, and no matter how much I submit and reload, it never appears. Even on hard-reload.
(Edit) Oh, and my post appeared here just fine, but still won't appear there.
(Edit again) Now I can't reply here. :( Same problem as in the other thread. However, I can seem to edit my existing posts.

It may be the same problem I have. Whenever I post, as soon as I quit and reenter the thread, it reverts back to what it was before. As in, you post, and then it deletes it. I think.
Is this temporary (I hope)?
I spread my wings and I learn how to fly....well, that explains it. i was about to ask if i'd broken the rules and been thunmped/banned
The terrible downside to multiple identities: multiple tax returnsOdd, a PM I had already answered just popped up and won't go away, even though it had already gone away previously.
Read my stories!Reminds me a bit of the very, very early days of the Nation States forums — the stories that "you could only post uninterrupted between 2 and 3 in the morning" isn't all too exaggerated. Wonder if this too will result in loads of octuple posts from people who hit back and submit too many times when their post didn't show up at first. :P
I have devised a most marvelous signature, which this signature line is too narrow to contain. So does anybody have any idea what's going on here?

@ nekoalexa: The whatsit isn't saving stuff to the cache thingy, I guess. That guy will probably fix it with a forum thingamajigger so it gets unborked.
... I'm not really good with computer words okay.
I have devised a most marvelous signature, which this signature line is too narrow to contain.Sounds to me like the server's sending the wrong answer for the "page expires" line in the HTTP headers. Ordinarily the expiration date is the moment you send it. Either the server's clock got screwed up, or its Apache is going wonky right now.
Sakamoto demands an explanation for this shit.Is there any way to override the expiration date browser-side, or do we just keep hitting control-F5?
I have to log back in like three times before I can post anything now.
^^If the problem is what Goggle Fox described, then no, not really.

Both the forum topics and thread watchlist pages seem to get their pages from your cache if you don't refresh them. I've tried clearing my cache, but it doesn't help.
