• Ensemble Dark Horse: Touring keyboardist João Fera. Due to his longevity with the band, as he has been with them since 1986, and his Nice Guy personality, he’s got a lot of fans that consider him the band's honorary official member.
• Germans Love David Hasselhoff: The band has received great popularity in Spanish-speaking South American countries. In fact, during the period between Os Grãos and Severino, they had stronger reception in these regions than in their native home country. It helps that they recorded two Spanish albums.^note As alluded in the main page, one is basically a "Greatest Hits Album but in Spanish" and the other is just a mostly Spanish version of Severino.
  • Of all the countries in South America, the fandom in Argentina seems to be the strongest, thanks to collaborations with local rock artists such as Charly Garcia and Fito Paéz (whom the band also covered a few songs). Some journalists even deemed the band "the most Argentinian band from Brazil of all time".
• Harsher in Hindsight: "Aonde Quer Que Eu Vá" was released one year prior to the plane accident of Herbert and his wife Lucy Needham Vianna, in which the latter didn't survive, making its lyrics become more heartbreaking than before. Some even believe the song was dedicated to her.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: Early on the career, the band was heavily criticized by wearing their influence of The Police on their sleeves. Fast forward three decades later, João Barone would be playing in a Brazilian The Police tribute band named Call The Police, formed by none other than Andy Summers, and it would also feature Rodrigo Santos, bassist from Barão Vermelho, on vocals and bass.
• More Popular Spin Off: The album Severino completely tanked in sales and really alienated fans for its extensive experimentation at the time of its release. Vamo Bate Lata, the Live Album of its tour released a year after? A smashing success, selling one million copies and it helped propel the band back to popularity for the remainder of The '90s.
• Unexpected Character: Because the band contributed with a lot of South American names and the fact that Severino is their least known album in their catalog, one might be surprised to find out that the person playing the guitar solo in "El Vampiro Bajo El Sol" is none other than Brian May from Queen!
