  • Black Sheep Hit:
    • Their soft rock song, "Lanterna dos Afogados", became this for them in the late 80's, contrasting to their more upbeat big hits from their previous years, as well for Big Bang, the album that it is featured in.
    • Ditto for the introspective "Aonde Quer Que Eu Vá", a song made for their Arquivo II compilation, which became their most recognizable song by the Turn of the Millennium.
  • Creator Backlash: The band isn't really fond of their debut Cinema Mudo, due to the extensive meddling that occurred during the sessions for the album.
  • Executive Meddling: The song "Vital e Sua Moto" heavily suffered from this. Although the original version found in their demo tape received constant airplay in Rio de Janeiro’s local radio, the band had to make a lot of concessions made by the director of EMI for the eventual album version by adding things that weren’t in the original demo version, such as adding a chorus that didn’t exist in the demo, as well a background choir for the final verse made by the Golden Boys.note
  • Permanent Placeholder: According to drummer João Barone, the song "Ska" didn't have any name during the sessions, being only referred as "that 'ska' song", and it stuck.
  • The Pete Best: The original drummer, Vital Dias. He missed the first gig the group was supposed to perform, leading an acquaintance of Herbert and Bi to recommend João Barone as a temporary replacement. The band however felt that there was more spark with Barone, which led to Vital's departure. Despite that, Vital and the band were reportedly on good terms and he was the inspiration for the band's first hit, "Vital e Sua Moto", which in a way immortalized him in the band's lore, especially after his death in 2015.
