YMMV / Mr. Krabs' Unquenchable Blood Lust

Go To

  • Alternative Character Interpretation:
    • Discussing Mr. Krabs' Disproportionate Retribution murder of the fake health inspector, was Mr. Krabs relatively sane in the beginning and simply enacting justice the way he saw fit for the inspector, or was he struggling with psychotic urges even before the events of the video? The way he murders the police officers, albeit in such a gruesome way, and has the nerve to laugh about it possibly supports the latter interpretation.
    • When Mr. Krabs and SpongeBob are burying the imposter's body, two police officers pull up and threaten to arrest them unless they make them Krabby Patties, leading Mr. Krabs to kill them with a flamethrower. Were they just joking around because they didn't see what the two were actually doing, like in the actual canon episode the footage was taken from? Or were they fishing for a bribe to look the other way?
  • Creepy Awesome: It is a rather horrifying experience, but it is by far one of the best YTPs to date in terms of its story and editing.
  • Inferred Holocaust: If the newspaper delivery boy's announcements suggest anything, it's that Squidward was not Krabs' only victim in the last 24 hours, considering the entire city is paralyzed with fear. This is later confirmed by Krabs keeping a collection of his victims' severed heads rather than just Squidward's, if SpongeBob's exclamation is anything to go by.
  • Jerkass Woobie: Mr. Krabs could be seen as this, as evidenced by the fact that early on he seems to be fighting his psychotic urges to kill MOAAAR! He loses all sympathy once he decides to go full on psycho however. He also seems genuinely saddened at having been betrayed by his crew after he trusted them so much, not that it stops him from threatening to cut their butts off, nor does it make them unjustified.
  • Moral Event Horizon: Krabs crosses it by deciding to kill the fake inspector rather than call the police and blackmail SpongeBob into helping him.
  • Once Original, Now Common: In the advent of other story-based YouTube Poopers such as MoBrosStudios, NPCarlsson, and Jimmy Davis, the narrative aspect of this Poop doesn't come across as unique to modern audiences as it was at the time of its release, especially since the beginning is a retread of "Nasty Patty", while Squidward's subplot is a retread of "Squid's Day Off".
  • Special Effect Failure:
    • At the start of the video, SpongeBob and Patrick are supposed to be scared when they enter Mr. Krabs tent, but you can clearly see them smiling when they are poking the map, and SpongeBob joyfully says "oops!" Likewise, SpongeBob can clearly be seen smiling when Mr. Krabs notes that the fake health inspector ate the poisoned Krabby Patty.
    • When Mr. Krabs kills Squidward, blood is meant to splatter the window, but you can clearly see the window is open and the blood just stops in midair.
  • Tear Jerker:
    • The terrified look on SpongeBob's face as he stands there, trembling, after Krabs has murdered the two cops even though they had no evidence that would prove him to be a murderer.
    • The death of Patrick. Poor guy.
    • SpongeBob sacrificing himself at the end.
  • The Woobie:
    • SpongeBob. He witnesses the first murders, and is clearly traumatized and absolutely scared shitless. It only gets worse, as Krabs kills his best friends, and then SpongeBob blows himself, and Krabs, to bits with a suicide bomb.
    • The two cops and two prison guards who were killed by Krabs.
    • Squidward goes insane from the guilt of putting Krabs behind bars, and especially the (justified) thought of Krabs escaping and coming after him. He sadly meets his gruesome end once Krabs escapes and kills him.
    • Patrick. Poor, poor Patrick.
