  • Fridge Brilliance: The exact amount of years that Spring Garden lived through corresponds to a real life event from long ago, while also serving to add further depth to the Chapter 4 Arc Villains motives. Sixty five million years ago is an extinction event at the end of the Cretaceous period that wiped out 50% of all life on the planet, which led to Tertiary period, introducing new life that would replace the prior species. The goals of Haqq and Aglessa's lineage is essentially the equivalent of that event, to complete the second half the cycle and make the world as a whole reborn anew, with Spring Garden's creation halting the process and leaving the world in a desert state — making it an anomaly to be corrected.
  • Harsher in Hindsight: Cattleya's backstory of being gifted powerful magic as a child, then subsequently punished for it by the people of Winter Rose seems like an overreaction, especially with the implications that's later outright stated that they would've killed Cattleya to be rid of her. Then came the Sealed Ancient Flower Knight arc, where it's revealed that potent residual magic can over time mentally affect non-Flower Knight people in a manner that causes them to go violent, and an instance of this happened long ago that resulted in nearly the whole nation of Winter Rose on the verge of collapse from the destroyed towns and wounded/killed people. Even with history erased and forgotten, the custom of dealing with powerful magic was created to prevent the worse case from happening again.
  • Hilarious in Hindsight: The Rance collaboration event in April 25th 2020, "Hanny Hanny Panic", would feature the titular Rance turned into a plush toy upon his arrival to Spring Garden. This event started a month before the "Please Don't Turn Me Into a Marketable Plushie" meme would be introduced and subsequently go widespread.
  • Scrappy Mechanic: The rotating arrow panels that randomly makes a party of knights go in one of the diverging paths. With the early event stages liberal use of the panels, this results in many instances of RNG being unkind to players, directing parties away from the Pest panels required to full-clear the stages and thus necessitating repeated attempts for RNG to work in favor of the player, burning through both time and Stamina. Tellingly, these panels would find seldom use — if used at all — in many of the later stages, along with its usage being explicitly limited in a way that avoids interfering with stage clear requirements.
  • Ugly Cute: Most Pests are naturally designed to be unappealing to look at, since they're giant mutant insects that are generally regarded as nuisances and deadly threats. The ant-type Pests, however, lean more towards cute than ugly, whether because of their more tame eyes with visible pupils, or being made the common subject of a joke enemy (like an ant pest crying over their missing lover while holding a present). Dancing Lady Orchid's pet, the ant Pest Maidoari, is naturally this at its most potent due to being a Fun Sized baby Pest with plenty of adorable animations alongside their owner.
