Tabibito Tropes

  • Ambiguous Situation: It is unknown what happened to the traveller after parting ways with the flower fairy. Also even more ambiguous as to what happened to the fairy, since she only disappears with zero explanation after the end of the story.
  • Arcadia: The main setting is a forest that has trees without leaves, flower beds as well as rolling hills and watery paths. It's peaceful in nature as no one but the flower fairy lives.
  • Exactly What It Says on the Tin: The title's literal English translation: Flower Fairy and Traveler.
  • Iyashikei: The doujinshi focuses on the heartwarming short story of the flower fairy encountering a passing traveller within the forest with little bearing to the plot.
  • Minimalism: The doujinshi is highly minimalistic in nature, only focusing on two characters and it takes place in a singular location.
  • Minimalist Cast: The flower fairy and the traveller are the story's only characters.
  • Shrinking Violet: The flower fairy is meek towards strangers, where her first encounter with the traveller has her hiding on a tree.
