The Completely normal adventures of a young boy and his dogs....

Edible Green Tea is a *very* strange slice-of-life webcomic by Aqua 03 that you can read on Tapastic here: https://tapas.io/series/Edible-Green-Tea

The best way you can describe the story is that it follows the escapades of a young boy named Yvonne along with his friends and family as they try to navigate the very strange version of the not just their home city of Minneapolis, but the world as a whole.

Part semi-autobiographical comic, part absurdist satirical comedy.

This comic provides examples of:

  • Art Evolution: The comic shifts two full color and a more traditional comic format starting with Strip 50 onwards.
  • Animesque: Though Downplayed, The comic's art style draws inspiration from old manga like Astro Boy, Doraemon, and Sazae-San along with borrowing a lot of character archetypes from anime and Asian Myths in general.
  • Gentle Giant: Both Ao Kuang and Selena tower over the main cast, but both are some of the friendliest, sweetest characters in the strip barring bouts of not knowing their own strength.
  • MegaCorp: The enigmatic "Vitamin Water Brand Vitamin Water" company. A company that preforms constant experiments to try to discover the next stage of human evolution along with producing the best tasting Vitamin Water, ever!
  • Nightmare Face: Charlie, Charlie, Charlie....
  • Riddle for the Ages: Just what exactly *is* Charlie's deal, anyways? The world may never know....
  • Ridiculously Cute Critter: Charlie the Puppy. Well, most of the time he's cute anyways...
  • Reference Overdosed: There are so many little easter eggs and references to all sorts of people, places, and things, it would definitely take a long time to list them all here.
  • Man-Eating Plant: Parodied with the antagonist of the three part arc, "Little Guac of Horticulture." Steve the Avocado From SPAAAAACCCCCEEEEE...... He would have definitely loved to be one of these, if it weren't for Yvonne and his appetite.
  • World of Weirdness: You know, it would probably be a lot easier to list the *normal* things that happen in this comic than it would to be listing all of the bizarre happenings and characters Yvonne and his friends encounter.
  • World of Ham
  • World of Snark: The humor can get very dry at times....
