Indigen is a short 3D animation about a young african savage and an arguably intelligent jackal being at each other's throat over a piece of roast poultry. In their mutual struggle they resort to gradually gorier methos. Black Comedy Ensues.

And that's about it.

Despite all the gore within the animation, it can be viewed on youtube.

Examples of the following tropes wreak havoc somewhere in Africa.

  • Ain't Too Proud to Beg: Not very expressive but being at the M60's gunpoint the jackal backs away and timidly shakes their head in disagreement with their impending demise.
  • Amusing Injuries: Oh boy, this show takes delight in those.
  • Ass Shove: Poor elephant gets a missile ridden by an african savage shoved into is rear and come out on the other side. The entire thing is shown from the missile's view. We never learn the animal's fate but the sound implies it survived.
  • Black Comedy: It's about an african savage and a jackal mauling each other in ways which cannot be taken seriously.
  • Death Is a Slap on the Wrist: No matter how badly do the protagonists maul each other, they're inexplicably alive and kicking seconds later. It's that kind of show.
  • Gorn: The ways the protagonists repeatedly meet their demise is downright ludicrous. Once the jackal is reduced to a splattered blotch on a rock with litte remains of its head and feet.
  • Groin Attack: The tribal guy once ends up falling crotch-first on a tree branch. His following vocal response scares away all birds from 30-meter radius.
  • Hidden Depths: Who would have expected a stray jackall and an african savage to be able to read and understand a digital counter?
  • Imperial Stormtrooper Marksmanship Academy: Considering all the collateral damage the MIR Anti-Nuke Express causes, while attempting to actually hit the missile, its designers certainly did study marksmanship at the aforementioned place.
  • It Can Think: The jackal is apparently cunning enough to make use of modern weaponry including launching a nuke missile from a cruiser.
  • Kill Sat: The "MIR Anti-Nuke Express" is an automated orbiting particle cannon designed to do exactly what its name implies.
  • Ludicrous Gibs: Using an M60 machinegun the savage reduces the jackall to a splattered blotch on a rock with little remains of its head and legs.
  • Oh, Crap!:
    • The jackall has a serious freakout when the missile picks him for a game of chicken.
    • Both protagonists exhibit a massive one at the sight of the nuke's counter rapidly approaching zero.
  • Recoil Boost: Firing the M60 at the jackall sends the savage flying sky high.
  • Rocket Ride: Moments after the ballistic missile is launched, it takes the savage on an involuntary ride. The jackall readies themselves to trigger the missile using a shovel only to get hit too and join the ride.
  • Serial Escalation: Through the course of the fight the protagonist resort to using gradually deadlier weaponry.
  • Take That!: What ends the Kill Sat's blasting spree? It suffers a typical MS Windows 98 blue screen.
