Any Previous Player-Character Cameo will be saved for Round 6.
Despite the R2 cast outright taking over the facility to use it to stop more murdergames and some of the R1 cast wanting to do the same, none of the rounds have had a Previous Player-Character Cameo, since the ending twist of each round after 1 meant they logically wouldn't be able to happen (Round 2 being an implied prequel and Round 3 taking place in the afterlife). Rounds 4 and 5 will likely have similar things in their premises keeping any rescue parties out of the epilogues. Round 6, however, has been announced to consist of previous characters entirely... but they still have to be new versions and not CRAU from their previous rounds. The reason for this will probably tie into endgame and may mean that the versions we know and love from Rounds 1-5 might appear.- Jossed in Round 5. Not only is it proven that Round 2 took place after 1 after all, but The Stinger had a Previous Player-Character Cameo: the R2 cast is seen on the monitor at the end.
The villain of Round 1 will be a future mastermind.
We haven't heard from Father since Round 1, thanks to timeline issues and R3's setting. He's probably still out there looking for revenge, though.Rounds 4-6 will be able to be connected to the films they're named for somehow.
Let's look at the first three completed rounds:- Trustfell Round One and Die Hard: Takes place on Christmas (and, in Trustfell's case, the months leading up to it). The Big Bad is German. R1 takes place in a bad-end AU and Die Hard gave a happy ending to a book with a Downer Ending.
- Trustfell 2 Trust Harder and Die Hard 2: There's a Big Bad Duumvirate, rather than the one we've seen from the beginning who was "working for" the other being anything less than a Big Bad himself as far as the narrative goes. There's also a inordinate number of moles, including the aforementioned killswitch/mastermind. Rather than one building's worth of people in danger and/or already dead, there turns out to be a lot.
- Trustfell 3 Trust Fall With A Vengeance and Die Hard with a Vengeance: The mastermind has a connection to, and got his idea from, the first instalment's Big Bad. He's also more Affably Evil than his predecessors.
Based on this, the next three (the current R4 and others) will also allude to their namesakes. Maybe Round 4 is another computer round and Round 5 will actually take place in Russia (doubling as a Call-Back to Round 1's "Russia theory"). We already know Round 6 will bring various characters Back for the Finale, as will the final film.
- Seems to be Jossed, as Round 4 didn't have anything to do with computers (aside from being Round 2's answer arc) or the economy, and Round 5 was similarly very different.
Round 5's NPCs are from a Vocaloid-related canon.
Which one it is is difficult to tell (likely something set in the 1940s given the last two weeks' music choices), but the Risen rely heavily on synthesized voices and covers of popular songs, the creepy distorted imagery is right out of a lot of popular horror or Halloween songs, the theme colour is Miku-teal, and the chalkboard NPC goes by "Michaela," the official name given to Story of Evil Miku when that expanded into Evillious Chronicles.- Also jossed in the end.
Jericho is Johanna.
We don't know anything about either of them, including appearance, and isn't it odd that Round 6 would reuse Alena when Johanna hasn't shown up at all? Plus, Jericho has an implied past with Alena, or at least some reason why she's reluctantly working with him. Thus, Johanna is Jericho in some way, whether he's transgender and that's his birth name, he's a Villainous Crossdresser, he's an Opposite-Sex Clone, or he's a different-world genderbend AU.- Jossed as well. While Jericho is a woman, Johanna is actually her Right-Hand Cat.
