    Pre-Release Theories
Pachacamac will die in the end of the series.

Pachacamac will end up making a Heroic Sacrifice to save Knuckles allowing Knuckles to unleash his true power like Sonic dose in the first movie. This will also allow Knuckles to remain the Last of His Kind.

  • Jossed. He’s already a ghost and a spirit guide.

The plot revolving around why Pachacamac is here

The plot with him is that Knuckles and Wade get a tip about an Echidna working at a bowling ally and think it is a joke or trap until they get there to find it is Pachacamac. After they all catch up on what’s happened to the tribe Pachacamac gets Knuckles and Wade to partake in a bowling tournament for a big cash prize. That is when Wade dreams of using the money to get a new car and be a true badass. While all this was going down the three are being hunted by the villains.

  • Jossed. It's part of a Vision Quest for Wade to learn about the Warrior's Heart.

Rouge The Bat will appear

With talks of her appearing in the upcoming third movie, she'll likely appear in this series as well, either in the last episode or in The Stinger.

  • Jossed.

The series isn't being produced by Paramount Television Studios

  • Jossed. The credits on IMDb list Paramount Television Studios as one of the six production companies.
    • Actually, Confirmed! The 2011 Paramount Pictures logo shows up at the end, confirming that Paramount Television Studios was indeed not involved.

The mysterious buyer is in reality Julian Snively

The new main antagonist probably will be revealed as Julian Snively, with him having a look from the latest Archie comics and an intellect similar to Robotnik.

  • He does bear some resemblance to his bearded self from the comics.
    • Or alternatively, the Buyer is actually Gerald Robotnik, who escaped Prison Island in the past and, should he survive this series, will become a Big Bad Duumvirate with his grandson and Shadow in Sonic 3.
  • Jossed. We never learn the Buyer's real name by the end of the series. And we possibly never will.

The Knuckles Wade knew from school - the one who could fit his whole hand in his mouth - will appear.

The Pachacamac seen here is just a hallucination or Spirit Advisor to Knuckles

Given that Knuckles' status as the Last of His Kind is an integral part of his character, it's unlikely that Pachacamac truly survived Longclaw's onslaught, since it's implied she killed them all. Also, it would be pretty hard not to notice the grizzled, red-furred, and bipedal echidna just walking around on Earth and running a bowling alley with no one batting an eye. Thus, what is seen here may be either Knuckles seeing someone else and imagining him as Pachacamac or Pachacamac's ghost somehow assisting the last remainder of the Knuckles Clan.

  • This is an interesting theory, although Pachacamac's appearance is likely going to be a dream sequence Knuckles has during his trip with Wade in Reno.
    • The sequence could be a reference to a dream sequence in The Big Lebowski where Saddam Hussein has a similar role.
  • Or alternatively he is real and has been laying low for years trying to look for Sonic and just like Sonic he befriends some humans who take care of him and help him adapt to the strange world leading to him getting a job at a bowling ally.
Knuckles will offhandedly mention working with the Chaotix at some point
Most likely, he'll compare them to Wade at some point.
  • His role as a Spirit Advisor has been confirmed. His survival in the adaptation has been jossed.

Tikal will appear, or at least her theme music will be used in a Musical Nod.
They could use her music in some sort of flashback scene about the Echidna tribe's history, much like in Sonic Adventure.

The rings used by the bad guys are the same rings Sonic lost in Siberia back in the second film.

Tails might've been involved in Knuckles capturing the mailman after he turns the living room into a gladiator pit.
If you look at the start of the trailer, after Knuckles reveals that Ozzie will be "fighting" against the mailman, Tails laughs nervously, indicating that he may have had something to do with that.
  • Knuckles could've told Tails that there were "too many raccoons" invading the Wachowski's bins and asked him to make a trap, which he used to capture the mailman and force him to battle Ozzie.

Chaos will appear.
Chaos has established himself as the Big Bad of Sonic Adventure and played a key role in Knuckle’s backstory, especially regarding his race of Echidnas. Given that Pachacamac, who’s responsible for Chaos’ Start of Darkness in the game, appears in the show, it wouldn’t be surprising if Chaos will also make an appearance. He could either appear in one scene to establish himself as a Predecessor Villain who caused the Echidna tribe to become evil in the show, or a Greater-Scope Villain who inspired the Big Bad, The Buyer, or could even be the Big Bad, with The Buyer merely serving as The Heavy who’s either a Big Bad Wannabe or The Dragon to Chaos.

Knuckles (or something else in the series) will create Angel Island
We know in this universe, the resting place of the Master Emerald was the Labyrinth Zone, but now that Knuckles is guarding the Emerald like in the games (albeit now with Sonic and Tails), they will create a safer place for it to be stored than Green Hill. Also would make a little nod to Angel Island being close to the human society in Sonic Adventure.

The Buyer is the Egg Robo in disguise.
Robotnik has made a great show of preferring to work with machines, with Agent Stone being the sole exception. He's able to make quill powered machines, just like Robotnik. He'll make a big show of being "close" to the Doctor, then, in the final battle, be revealed to be a robot designed specifically to carry on Robotnik's work in his absence.

Wade will teach Knuckles bowling in return for him teaching him the ways of the Echidnas, but for his own selfish purposes
In various shots of the trailer, there are a lot of bowling references, including one where Knuckles fights Agent Mason and Agent Willoughby at a bowling alley. A side plot could develop in which Wade decides to teach Knuckles bowling in return for Knuckles teaching him the ways of the Echidna warrior. Wade might do this to try to improve himself for his selfish purposes and work with Knuckles as a bowling duo against Pete. Knuckles finds pleasure in this sport, unaware of Wade's true motives, then the naive Knuckles meets the spirit of Pachacamac in a dream, who warns him of Wade's ulterior motives. Afterward, Knuckles will try to contact either Wade's sister or mother or find Pistol Pete, and after a conversation, Knuckles backs out of the tournament and leaves Wade on his own. Eventually, the two reconcile by the final episode, with Wade realizing he doesn't need to win a bowling tournament to improve his life after all.

  • Jossed. Wade just accepts Knuckles' help in making him become stronger due to genuinely seeing him as a friend, and his attending the bowling tournament is because he is coping with issues with his father abandoning him when he was a kid. Also, Knuckles doesn't really participate in bowling.

Wade takes Knuckles bowling in order to help him get adjusted to Earth life
Likely at the request of Maddie after the whole "gladiator fighting pit" incident. After a while, Knuckles starts "having the fun" and taking into the sport. But then the encounter with Agent Mason and Agent Willoughby occurs, leading to Knuckles deciding to teach Wade the ways of the echidna warrior after the latter suffers some sort of humiliation or life endangerment.

  • That would be interesting. Teaching someone a sport not common where they come from helps them adjust to their new surroundings. Although, I think Knuckles will train Wade in the ways of the Echidna before Wade teaches him bowling and encountering Agent Mason and Agent Willoughby.
  • Jossed. Knuckles only comes to Wade due to Pachacamac's guidance. They stop by at a bowling alley because Wade is showing Knuckles what his "battle" is all about.

    Post-Release Theories
The alien at the 1974 tournament is possibly Dark Star or even Shadow.

Anyone could be as fast as Sonic or as strong as Knuckles if they had enough heart and truly believed it was possible.
The feat Wade performs after being motivated by Pachacamac in episode 4 is very clearly superhuman. Near the beginning of the show Knuckles shatters a bunch of bowling pins by throwing the ball at them and seems to genuinely believe Whipple could replicate the feat. The reason most humans can't do these things is that they "know" they're impossible, but a few special people either don't know or don't care that such feats are meant to be impossible and do them anyway.

Tom is out of town in the series because he's on "police training," when in actuality, he is training to be a GUN agent to fight Project Shadow.

Wendy Whipple is The Atoner
She's mentioned to be a Krav Maga instructor. Perhaps she was an IDF officer a long time ago, but after having her eyes opened to the violent settler colonial entity that her country really is, she decided she'll have none of it and left everything behind so she'll no longer be complicit in genocide?
