Trivia / The Crazies (2010)

Go To

  • Actor Allusion: The way Olyphant shoves the Crazy with the metal grate in the truck stop is an identical shot of him doing the same to a rival hitman in the Hitman film. Let's not forget that he, once again, plays a sheriff. Also, this not Olyphant's first horror film where his character drives a cop car with a guy on its hood, only this time, Olyphant's character is The Hero, not a villain.
  • Channel Hop: Was originally greenlit at Paramount until they put the film on turn around, focusing more on big budget films not too long after the CBS and Viacom split. Shortly after, Rogue was going to produce the film back when it was a subsidary of Universal but dropped it when Universal sold Rogue to its new parent company, Relativity Media. Finally, Overture Films picked it up, which ended up being one of their last films before folding later in 2010.
  • The Danza: In a way, as Timothy Olyphant's middle name is David just like the forename of his character in this film.
  • Fake American: Joe Anderson (Russell) and Radha Mitchell (Judy) are English and Australian respectively. Both have fairly strong accents as evidenced by the behind-the-scenes DVD material.
