- Acting for Two:
- Matthew Waterson voices both Ranrok and Aesop Sharp.
- Jason Anthony voices the Sorting Hat, Gladwin Moon, Nearly Headless Nick, Ferdinand Octavius Pratt, Peeves and Victor Rookwood.
- Enn Reitel voices Abraham Ronen, Deek, Solomon Sallow, Percival Rackham and George Osric.
- Holly J. Barrett voices both Anne Sallow and Isidora Morganach.
- Greg Ellis voices Theophilus Harlow, Albie Weekes, Fastidio and Lodgok.
- Content Leak: This game was an Open Secret of sorts on the internet after some footage of a focus group test was posted on Reddit in September 2018, two years before its official announcement.
- Creator Backlash: Several of the voice actors for the game confirmed that they recorded their lines before J. K. Rowling's controversies, stating that they wouldn't have taken part otherwise. Most notably, this applies to Sebastian Croft, who voices the protagonist.
- Meme Acknowledgement: Upon release, the game featured a bug that prevented players from rescuing a magical beast named Biscuit, whose rescue is necessary to complete a sidequest. This led to the meme "Free Biscuit!", something Portkey Games quickly picked up on as upon releasing a patch to fix the aforementioned bug, they informed players it was time to free Biscuit.
- The Other Darrin: Jason Anthony voices Nearly Headless Nick in place of David Coker, Peeves in place of Jonathan Kydd and the Sorting Hat in place of Leslie Phillips (films), Gary Fairhall (second video game) and Nigel Carrington (Kinect)
- Queer Character, Queer Actor: Trans actress Rebecca Root voices trans witch Sirona Ryan.
- Release Date Change: The game was originally supposed to come out in Q4 of 2021 but in January of that year, it was announced it had been pushed back to 2022. It’s unclear if it was due to the team just needing more time, COVID-19 related issues, Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore's COVID-19 related delay from its own Q4 2021 release taking some heat off of it, or some combination of the three. The game would get pushed back again to February 10, 2023 for quality control, with the last-gen ports pushed back to April 4 and eventually May 5.
- Urban Legend of Zelda: Shortly after release, rumors spread that you could enter the Chamber of Secrets and encounter Slytherin's Basilisk. A supposed video the the giant serpent slithering through the Slytherin Common Room lent credence to this theory; however, using hacks to look under the sinks in Moaning Myrtle's bathroom reveals that the the Chamber does not exist there, and the supposed video of the basilisk was actually the giant squid (which can appear outside the common room windows) clipping through the walls.
- Writer Revolt: Trans witch Sirona Ryan was reportedly pushed for and added into the game by the developers in response to J. K. Rowling following her controversial comments.
- You Sound Familiar:
- Luke Youngblood, who voices Everett Clopton in this game, previously played Lee Jordan in the Harry Potter films.
- In the French dub, there's quite a few people whose voice was heard in the Harry Potter films, such as Véronique Augereau (Amelia Bones), Gilbert Lévy (a background voice in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban), Alexandre Nguyen (Justin Finch-Fletchley) and Vincent Violette (Professor Quirinus Quirrell in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone).
