- Died During Production: Ken Ishikawa. This left Getter Robo Āḥ, the last series chronologically, on a very annoying cliffhanger since the magazine it ran in was cancelled and he was unable to pick it up again before his death. Getter Robo Saga, a compilation manga made while Ishikawa was alive, glossed over the previous cliffhanger and presented an even worse one. Arc makes it back to Earth somehow, Kamui pulls a coup of the Dinosaur Empire and develops the anti-Getter weapon "Bug", and beats the crap out of Arc. Then Getter Dragon appears and it just stops there.
- Early-Bird Release: When JAM Project released the Bloodlines - Unmei no Ketto album, it included an extra song called Tomo Yo (Comrades), leaving both Getter and JAM Project fans curious. It wouldn't be until the show's final episode that they'd find out this is the last Ending theme for the series, dedicated to the wrap-up of Hayato Jin's character arc and the late Ken Ishikawa.
- Role Reprise: The anime adaptation features the return of many actors that previously voiced incarnations of Getter characters:
- The New Getter cast of the main trio (Hideo Ishikawa, Naoya Uchida, Kiyoyuki Yanada) reprise their roles for Arc (in a way, since New Benkei is a Composite Character of Benkei and Musashi, while in the Arc/manga continuity, Benkei is the original Benkei Kuruma)
- Shinpachi Tsuji and Kunihiko Yasui return as Musashi and Schwartz from their roles in the OVA Armageddon.
- Takahiro Sakurai, Yuu Asakawa, and Norio Wakamoto return as Go, Sho, and General Bat from Shin vs Neo.
- You Sound Familiar:
- Empress Meldusa is voiced by Romi Park, previously voicing the incarnation of Minamoto no Yorimitsu/Raikou in New Getter Robo.
- Professor Han is voiced by Kenichi Ogata, who previously played General Bat and Marshal Hidler in the 70's anime adaptations of Getter Robo and Getter Robo G respectively.
