- Accidentally Correct Zoology: Dodger is pretty much a made-up dinosaur that looks like a squirrel, with no corresponding species to him. Yet, roughly around the same year this movie was made, Sciurumimus albersdoerferi, a theropod ressembling squirrels, was described and named.
- Actor Allusion:
- Jane Lynch's character is named Sue.
- This isn't the first time Pamela Adlon has voiced a time-traveling kid.
- Bad Export for You: The UK only got it on DVD. The US got it on Blu-Ray, including the 3D version, but it's locked to Region A. The only way Brits can watch the 3D version in English is if they import a copy from Germany or Poland that has an English language option.
- Billing Displacement: The celebrity voices are billed higher than the veteran voice actors like Pamela Adlon and Tara Strong, who voice the main characters.
- Blooper: The fast food restaurant is called "Burgersaurus", but on the drive thru menu there's a picture of a cup with "Dino Burger" on it.
- Colbert Bump: Fans of Youtube Poop heard about this movie thanks to Walrusguy using it for Gwonam's Gweat Adventuwe; or Dino Time enough for love.
- Network to the Rescue: The film was originally planned to release in the US in 2013 by Clarius Entertainment, but problems at the studio caused the release to be delayed and then cancelled. It was then picked up in 2015 by Alchemy (who also went belly-up not long afterwards) and released direct-to-DVD as Back to the Jurassic.
- Real-Life Relative: In the English dub, Sarco and Surly are voiced by William Baldwin and Stephen Baldwin respectively.
