• Acting for Two: The most notable is that the voice of Grumpy Bear is also Beastly's. However this time we also noticeably have Funshine's VAs acting for three, also taking on the role as Cozy Heart Penguin. Aside from that, as usual many of the main cast also pull off double duty as minor characters.
• Channel Hop: The franchise hopped from The Hub/Discovery Family and was Saved By The Network by Netflix. Also, the toys hopped from Hasbro to Just Play.
• Crossdressing Voices: Cozy Heart, a female penguin, is voiced by Michael Sinterniklaas.
• The Other Darrin: The Latin American Spanish dub is a very meta-version of this: Not only the series was the second Care Bears TV series dubbed in Mexico since the DiC series, as previous productions were dubbed in Venezuela and Argentina previously, this is also the first Mexican-dubbed Care Bears production since The Care Bears: Adventure in Wonderland, which was dubbed in Mexico in the 90s.
• Screwed by the Network: Netflix was originally a Network to the Rescue, and Care Bears & Cousins was a product of saving the franchise from Hasbro and The Hub, which'd screwed over the previous series. Cousins lasted for two series until Hasbro cancelled it in 2017, and was replaced by the baffling Care Package Chronicles web animated series, with Care Bears: Welcome to Care-a-Lot leaving the service soon after due to the rights expiring. Seems to have been cancelled so Hasbro could reboot the series and create a new generation, as Care Bears: Unlock the Magic did exactly this, and it moved from Netflix to Boomerang in 2019.
