• Completely Different Title: Boy Girl, etc. in France.
• He Also Did: Executive producer Davis Doi is best known for his work on SWAT Kats and Jonny Quest: The Real Adventures.
• International Coproduction: Between the United States, Ireland, and France, but created for CBBC in Britain.
• No Export for You: This show has never aired in America, despite the show being co-produced in said country and having American voice actors.
• Renewed Before Premiere: The show was renewed for a second season in June 2019 before its premiere in October that year.
• Saved from Development Hell: The series pilot had been in production since 2006, but the show itself didn't debut until 2019.
• What Could Have Been:
  • Canadian studio Mercury Filmworks was originally brought on to animate and co-produce the show, but for unknown reasons, they completely dropped out later on. Animation services would go onto Irish studio Kavaleer Productions.
  • The series was pitched to quite a number of networks, including Cartoon Network in 2012, as well as Disney XD and Teletoon in 2015 before finally being picked up by CBBC in 2019.
  • Early concept art from Jeff Harter shows the development of the main characters' designs:
    • Boy originally had much lighter skin and wore blue. Some of his early designs also incorporate a baseball cap with a "B" on it.
    • Girl was originally a redhead with a ponytail and a green dress. Both she and Boy were also much younger and more stereotypical for their gender compared to the final concept.
    • Dog's earlier designs had him much taller and larger than his final design, invoking a St. Bernard image instead.
    • Cat is perhaps the most radically different from her finalized version, appearing as a purple tabby with a more overtly feminine appearance and more active personality.
    • Mouse lacks his toy-like features, instead appearing more as a normal mouse.
    • Cheese, rather than a cheese wheel with a missing wedge, was instead a slightly moldy wedge of cheese. Also, rather than a bow, she had a little decorative toothpick on the top of her head.
• Word of God: According to an concept art, Dog is a German Shephard/Terrier mix.
