- Channel Hop: Disney was not involved with A Kid in Aladdin's Palace, but production company Trimark still was. As a result of this and the latter's merger with Lionsgate, the sequel is currently distributed by Lionsgate.
- Old Shame: Kate Winslet reportedly doesn't have many good things to say about this film, mostly due to bad experiences while filming it.
- What Could Have Been: The original intention was a straight adaptation of Mark Twain's A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court with none other than Sean Penn attached in some fashion. At some point, the film got re-worked into something more family-friendly, and Sean Penn exited the production as a result.
