Everything you see here is either work in process or just format experimenting. This being the sandbox it shouldn't come to much of a surprise.

  • A terrifying screech marked Ludwig's entry into the Pantheon, after which he trampled and crushed anyone that had the misfortune to be in the general vicinity. His rampage continued unhindered until the Hunter was made aware of his presence, who immediately called upon the Chosen Undead and Bearer of the Curse to help him bring Ludwig down. Upon being seemingly defeated he fell to the ground, dropping the great sword he carries on his back in the process. Seeing his sword once more, Ludwig the Accursed was able to regain his senses and rose once more as Ludwig the Holy Blade. Now in control of his faculties, Ludwig took his new role as deity, hoping to provide guidance to all who lose themselves to their greatest foes.
  • Ludwig's temple is a recreation of the corpse-covered underground room in which he was once found in the Hunter's Nightmare, but the otherworldly origins of the Hunter's Nightmare makes it is hard to tell if it is a recreation or actually the real deal.
  • Ludwig was once a great hero famed for his honor and chivalry, both of which were rather unusual traits in the bloodthirsty city of Yharnam. Upon being given leadership of the Healing Church hunters he rallied the people of his city and led them in battle against the Scourge of the Beast with his signature Holy Moonlight Blade which offered him guidance and soothed his fears. Unbeknownst to Ludwig, his bloody hunts only helped to propagate the plague and soon he too was overcome by the sickness, turning into the most hideous beast of them all.
  • Despite his grisly form, Ludwig is one of the rare cases of a beast managing to maintain their humanity. He is able to do so by focusing his thoughts on the guidance of the Holy Moonlight Blade, and as such is not able to maintain his senses for long unless focused on his sword. This makes many gods avoid him, fearing the possibility he'll lose control once more.
  • Ludwig finds great kinship in Artorias, of whom he was the former High Priest. Both of them are once-beloved heroes who were corrupted and became the very thing they fought against. They have both agreed to help the other fight the source of their respective corruptions and went as far as to make a vow that they both be ready to strike the other one down should they completely lose themselves once more.
  • Ludwig was greatly moved upon meeting The Fallen Child, one of few deities who willingly interacts with him. To Ludwig, The Fallen Child represents all the things in humanity he lost everything trying to protect, and sees them as a sign he did not suffer the denigration of beasthood for nothing.
