Roleplay / Midnightstuck

Midnightstuck is a Homestuck and Problem Sleuth script or paragraph style RP on MSPARP that is dedicated to playing Intermission, Felt, Midnight Crew, Team Sleuth, Carapace, Mobsterswitch, and Stabdads AU characters. It takes place during the time the Midnight Crew and The Felt performed their criminal activities parallel to each other in the unnamed noir cityscape that they're located in on Alternia. Though can be lighthearted and silly most at times, the RP can also sometimes takes a dip into some rather depressing situations.

The Tumblr page can be found here, and the RP itself here. You can also find the character sheet here

All regular personality tropes for the Midnight Crew, Exiles, Team Sleuth, The Felt, and other canon characters apply until they no longer do. And sometimes they still do, because of Weird Time(line) Shit.

    Story/In character tropes
  • Diner Brawl: Many many more than Miss Paint would like. These also count as Bar Brawls since the diner is technically both.
  • City Noir: Naturally, taking place in Midnight City. Despite crime being rampant between the Midnight Crew and The Felt, the city is put in a much less of a Crapsack World and a more lighter example of this trope.
  • Truce Zone: Paint's Diner is this. At least, she would like it to be, and strives to keep it one as much as possible.
  • Intercontinuity Crossover:
    • In the RP, it turns out the 'Real World' at the end of Problem Sleuth was Midnight City.
    • To a lesser extent, Andrew Hussie calls other roleplays and group chats alternate timelines/universes.
  • Destination Defenestration: Paint has been known to do this in extreme cases when she feels a patron has gone too far, especially if she feels they are putting her patrons in danger. Her robot arm makes this a fairly simple matter.
  • Fantastic Racism: Considering Midnight City itself is made up of Prospitians and Dersites who until recently were engaged in a bitter war with very little contact between the two kingdoms other than terse political negotiations between the royals, there is still quite a bit of racism on both sides.
  • Cyborg: A number of them. In Midnight City robotic prosthetics are, while naturally very expensive, considered standard for those who've lost limbs either from the Prospit/Derse war, or elsewhere. Notable examples include Spades Slick, and Ms. Paint.
