- Bilingual Bonus: Chloe's parents speak to each other in untranslated Korean. Ice Bear greets them in Korean, to the shock of the other bears.
- The Blind Leading the Blind: The bears are not exactly masters of social interaction, and yet they try to give Chloe pointers on making friends.
- Brick Joke: Panda's Crash-Into Hello advice is silly at first glance, but it does actually work later.
- Comically Missing the Point: When the Bears decides to make Chloe look mature in front of her classmates, Ice Bear gets the wrong idea by thinking of making Chloe look very old and even baked her a cake saying "Happy 50 Chloe".Ice Bear: Meet Chloe. She's very old.
- Crash-Into Hello: Panda's advice to Chloe is to attempt a Meet Cute by walking around with a large pile of papers until she bumps into someone and make friends as they pick up the papers. This does actually work later, but she had already met the girl in question so it worked better.
- Cringe Comedy: The entire friend-making sequence runs on this.
- Good Parents: Chloe's parents care about her well-being, recognize when she doesn't seem to be feeling well, and thank the bears for being good friends.
- Hidden Depths: Ice Bear knows Korean.
- I Just Want to Be Normal: Chloe isn't too fond of everyone calling her "prodigy girl".Chloe: It's crazy. People think it's so cool to be "a prodigy". Why can't I just be called, "The Awkward Korean Girl Who Will Never Be Tall Enough to Ride a Roller Coaster"?

- Grizzly's first reaction to Chloe being uncomfortable around her classmates is to ask Chloe if the girls are bullying her.
- "Ice Bear will make them love Chloe." and Ice Bear teaching Chloe how to fight against her enemies.
- Parlor Games: At the beginning of the episode, Chloe and the bears play a game of charades where the teams are Grizz and Panda vs. Ice Bear and Chloe.
- Shout-Out: Adventure Time is playing on Chloe's TV while she does her homework. Doubles as an Actor Allusion as her mother is voiced by Niki Yang, who voices BMO and Lady Rainicorn.
- Strange Minds Think Alike: Though Ice Bear's attempt at charades is lost on Chloe, he accurately interprets all of her attempts in mere seconds, no matter how improbable.
- Unusually Uninteresting Sight: Chloe's parents don't seem to mind their daughter hanging out with three bears. In fact, they're grateful for the bears being nice to her.
