And now, a Formula-Breaking Episode — a fan-submitted chapter.
When Gaz accidentally gets ahold of a Tome of Eldritch Lore, she summons an Eldritch Abomination in exchange for power. But it isn't long before this deal spirals out of control, unleashing horror like no one could have anticipated.
- A-Cup Angst: As mentioned in previous chapters, Gaz is sensitive about her flat chest and unfeminine figure, specifically because people mock her behind her back for it. Here, the first thing she uses the Voluntary Shapeshifting provided by Kastrofi for is to turn herself into a Head-Turning Beauty to avert this.
- Attempted Rape: Fully Drunk on the Dark Side, Gaz restrains Viera with tentacles and attempts to rape her with a particularly phallic one, fortunately being stopped at the last minute by Steve hitting her with a Molotov Cocktail.
- Drunk on the Dark Side: When Gaz realizes she can use her powers to hurt people and get away with it, she quickly goes off the deep end and rampages across the skool, killing people and attempting to do the same to Dib and the twins.
- Eldritch Abomination: Kastrofi, the King Dancing With the Mad. He takes on a form of a vaguely-humanoid figure hidden in a cloak, with multiple glowing red eyes and pale tentacles peeking out to confirm he's not human. He offers people power in exchange for their souls, and rules over a realm in the form of an endless carnival full of people and creatures indulging in limitless hedonism.
- Go-Go Enslavement: When Kastrofi enslaves Gaz, he sentences her to the role of "eye candy", forcibly dressing her in a metal bikini and a Slave Collar and dragging her around by a chain attached to the collar.
- Laser-Guided Karma: The first thing Gaz does with the shapeshifting powers given to her by Kastrofi is make herself into a Head-Turning Beauty in order to avert her A-Cup Angst, but this just destroys her fearsome reputation, as everyone now sees her as either an object of lust or as a hypocritical bimbo. And after she gets Drunk on the Dark Side and goes on a rampage to express her darkest impulses, this leads to her being banished to Kastrofi's realm, where he locks her in her beautiful form and reduces her to an eye candy slave to mock her earlier vanity.
- Lovecraftian Superpower: Kastrofi gives Gaz Voluntary Shapeshifting abilities, which while initially used just to make herself more attractive soon delves into this territory, as she uses tentacles to grab things while her hands are busy, warp her appearance to scare people who annoy her, and finally turning herself into a series of monsters to rampage across the skool.
- Recursive Fanfiction: In a first for the New Adventures series, this chapter was not (primarily) written by Zim'sMostLoyalServant. Instead, the majority was written by a fan called Zeroth17, who submitted it for completion and approval.
- Shameful Strip: At one point during the fight against her, Gaz completely strips Viera in preparation for raping her, causing her extreme mortification before she realizes what's about to happen and it changes to fear instead.
- Shapeshifting Excludes Clothing: When Gaz starts using her shapeshifting powers to rampage, her clothes end up shredded by the changes. By this point she's so Drunk on the Dark Side that she doesn't care, though after she's banished to Kastrofi's realm and he reverts her to her human form, she's snapped out of it and has enough modesty restored to be embarrassed by the situation.
- Shapeshifter Mode Lock: After Gaz ends up in Kastrofi's realm, he uses the fact that he's the source of her shapeshifting power to override her control, trapping her in her Head-Turning Beauty form in order to serve as his eye candy.
- Tome of Eldritch Lore: The Tome of the Abyss, the book that Gaz uses to summon Kastrofi after the writing changes itself from some ancient alphabet into English for her to more easily read.
- When the Planets Align: Kastrofi was banished from Earth to his realm when the stars aligned against him and will fully return when they align properly again 1000 years from the present.
