“Dearest Mamo-chan, there's so much tension right now. Haruka and Taiki won't let me see Seiya. They don't want me to get involved with them. But I know we can come to an understanding. If we could just talk things out, I'm sure Seiya would agree with me.”
Usagi Tsukino

The divide between the Solar System Guardians and the Starlights only worsens when the Outer trio step in to redraw the lines. In spite of the hostile tensions, Seiya convinces Usagi to attend an upcoming concert where she can learn more about the origins of the Sailor Starlights.

  • Character Development: After learning that Seiya invited Usagi to come to his concert, Luna actually encourages Usagi to go see him. It's a huge contrast to her past self who would have nagged Usagi into refusing while reminding her of her Sailor Guardian duties.
  • Continuity Nod: Seiya is still injured from the last episode.
  • Doesn't Trust Those Guys: The Outer trio remind Usagi that the Starlights are trespassing on their territory and they can't trust them even if they're fellow Guardians. Setsuna even brings up that the new enemies are also Sailor Guardians, giving them more reason to be cautious.

While Maker and Healer are more than willing to fight the Outers, Seiya accepts their terms just to avoid needless bloodshed.
  • Friendship Moment: Immediately picking up on how Usagi is still somber over Seiya, Minako uses her secret connections to find the number to the studio where the Three Lights are rehearsing. She then gives the number to Usagi in the hopes that Seiya will be able to talk to her.
  • It's All My Fault: Usagi still blames herself for Seiya's critical condition.
  • Instant Costume Change: Using only the darkness of the night, the Outer Trio, Star Maker and Star Healer transform in only a few seconds.

  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: Usagi has tolerated a lot of the antagonistic behavior the Outers have shown in the past, even when Uranus and Neptune attacked her out of anger for how she handled the Pharaoh 90 situation. After being told the Starlights will never see her again, Usagi finally snaps and calls the three older girls horrible. However, she quickly apologizes when she sees how shocked they are at her exclamation.
  • Passive Aggressive Combat: After Uranus orders the Starlights to leave their princess alone, Maker and Healer bring up the idea of using her to fulfill their own agenda just to get under her skin.

  • What the Hell, Hero?: Usagi is infuriated to learn that Haruka and her friends made it so that the Starlights wouldn't see her again.
