  • Everyone Has Standards: Even Lynch, who is aware of the political ramifications of pissing off the CIA, is furious when they make it clear they won't reprimand Murido.
  • Expert Consultant: Since Tan has to face the Standards Bureau, he asks Street, who's been up on disciplinary proceedings before the Bureau before, what he can expect.
  • Get Out!: After finding sufficient evidence that Murido orchestrated the hit on Deacon and the flower market, as well as his drugs operations, Hicks and Lynch effectively blackmail the CIA into deporting Murido back to Columbia.
  • I Owe You My Life: Deacon exploits this to get some information out of a reluctant witness.
Deacon: I was hoping I wouldn't have to pull this card, but I did kinda save your life today.
  • I Resemble That Remark!: When Tan asks Street what he can expect to face from the Standards Bureau, Street takes umbrage, asking why the rest of the squad seem to think he knows the ins and outs of disciplinary proceedings. Tan gives him a look and Street concedes the point.
  • It's Personal: The whole of 20 Squad takes an attempt on the life of one of their own very personally.
  • Make an Example of Them: Murido has his goons kill several vendors at a flower market that acts as a front for importing cocaine from Columbia to warn the others of the consequences of going to the police.
  • Oh, Crap!: Tan when Bonnie tells him he inadvertently ate pot gummies.
  • Shame If Something Happened: After the local representative from the CIA takes umbrage at S.W.A.T. provoking Murido by going after his drug business, Lynch makes him back down by threatening to tell some of her sources in the media that the CIA are cutting deals with a Columbian drug baron.
  • The Topic of Cancer: Hondo's father gets diagnosed with lung cancer.
