  • Figure It Out Yourself: Upon witnessing Aria's performs, Serena not only realized what she lacks to become Kalos Queen but also sees the mistake she made in brushing off her injury. After Aria maintains her title, Serena has learned her lesson and decides to keep working harder on becoming Kalos Queen one day.
  • Friendship Moment: After Jessie thanks her team for getting her so far, the others glomp Jessie in joy, much to her chagrin. For extra points, they brought out Inkay just to complete the group hug.
  • Graceful Loser: Serena and, against all odds, Jessie, after both being eliminated.
  • I Meant to Do That: Serena ends up falling down and injuring her wrist during her performance, Just like Fennekin and Eevee in her previous two showcases. This time however, thanks to quick acting from Sylveon, she manages to play it of as an actual part of her choreography. Palermo isn't convinced.
  • Security Cling: Meowth and Gourgeist embrace in terror after Jessie loses. They are dumbfounded when nothing happens.
  • Shipper on Deck: Miette finally admits that her teasing Serena over Ash is at least partially meant to push Serena to finally act on her crush for Ash.
  • Theme Music Power-Up: In the Japanese edit, Jessie uses "Rocket-dan Danka" while Serena uses "DreamDream" (this time sung by herself, and using some of the same dance moves as that ending) for their respective final performances. Deconstructed since they both lose.
  • This Is Gonna Suck: After Jessie is eliminated, her team mates await the worst. She surprisingly doesn't blow her top.
  • Tough Love: Palermo to Serena. The former congratulates the latter for her performance, but criticized Serena for performing with an injury.
  • Trying Not to Cry: Shauna after being eliminated, tries to congratulate Serena while holding back the tears.
  • Worf Had the Flu: Serena badly injures her wrist during her performance in the semifinals and has to go through final round while concealing it (though both her and Palermo note that she'd still lose even at her top form).
