Cosima and Scott study the implant obtained form Leekie's cheek. Felix and Donnie pretend to be a couple to investigate a fertility clinic's connection to Neolution.

This episode contains examples of:

  • Always Camp: Discussed, Donnie starts acting very campy, but Felix angrily tells him that not all homosexuals behave like that and that he'd be more convincing acting as his usual self.
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones: Ferdinand is genuinely in love with Rachel and wants nothing more than to rescue her from Susan.
  • Everything Sounds Sexier in French: Alison speaks to Donnie in Italian to arouse him so he can give a sperm sample.
  • Faux Yay: Donnie pretends to be gay and Felix's partner so they can infiltrate a fertility clinic.
  • For Science!: Rachel decides against treating Charlotte's condition so they can study it instead, thereby risking Charlotte's life in the name of research.
  • Freeze-Frame Bonus: The Dyad employee records that MK rapidly clicks through on her computer, which include the information that Delphine is not listed as "deceased".
  • Internal Reveal:
    • Felix finally gets clued in on the maggot-bots and feels somewhat guilty for making Sarah deal with it on her own.
    • In order to get Dizzy to keep helping her get to MK, Sarah confesses that they're clones, though she doesn't necessarily tell him everything.
  • Irony: Ferdinand brags to Siobhan that he and Rachel can retire somewhere in the lap of luxury. By the end of the episode MK leaves him completely broke.
  • Kick the Dog: Just when you thought Charlotte would be Rachel's Morality Pet, Rachel decides not to give Charlotte treatment for the clone disease because she's more useful when she's sick.
  • Makes Us Even: When Sarah saves Ferdinand from MK, she tells him that her debt from him saving her the last episode is now settled.
  • Pressure Plate: MK uses them twice, in one occasion to keep Ferdinand sitting while she douses him in gasoline.
  • The Purge: Ferdinand arranged one of these for a group of clones MK was a part of.
  • The Reveal:
    • Scott and Cosima deduce that the maggot-bots are supposed to alter the DNA of whomever they're inside.
    • MK is actually Veera Suominen, the only clone to survive the Helsinki purge.
  • Revenge: MK wants to murder Ferdinand for the death of her friend, either by blowing him up with a bomb or lighting him on fire while doused in gasoline. In the end she just runs off with all his money.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: After hearing that her presence (and pregnancy) is causing Alison discomfort, Helena decides to leave the Hendrix house and take off on her own.
  • Undercover as Lovers: Donnie and Felix pretend to be a couple to investigate a fertility clinic that Beth had been investigating.
  • What the Hell, Hero?:
    • Trina delivers one to Alison thinking she's Beth, saying that Beth went back on a promise to stop snooping around. This prompts Alison to look into the fertility clinic Trina mentioned.
    • Sarah delivers another one to MK for using her to steal from Ferdinand and then abandoning her. MK still chooses to leave.
  • Wire Dilemma: Siobhan has to cut a wire to deactivate the bomb Ferdinand is sitting in. However, there's no way of telling if she succeeded until he gets up. She instructs him to remain seated until she and Sarah leave the building.
