The Beyonder inhabits an old wish granting machine and aids Lunella and Casey with keeping up the trends at school.

  • An Aesop:
    • Transactional relationships are not strong relationships.
    • Don't get so caught up in unnecessary trends that you forget about the important things.
  • Be Careful What You Wish For:
    • When Lunella's dad enviously sees someone eating caviar on social media, he wishes to have caviar for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. He quickly learns that he doesn't actually like it.
    • Lunella wishes to have Bobby the Myth do a concert at her rink, but the star threatens to cancel it when he refuses to use a similar piano as Alicia Keys. This leads to her wishing for him to have the "baddest piano in the world that can blow the roof off this place". Beyonder gives him one of that attribute; one that literally turns him evil and nearly destroys the roller rink.
Bobby the Myth: Brace yourselves. I'm about to blow the roof off this place.
  • Bittersweet Ending: While Lunella manages to stop a turned-evil Bobby the Myth from tearing apart the rink and also learn a lesson in not getting caught up in unnecessary trends, she ended up ruining her friendship with the Beyonder when she blamed him for everything that happened prior to realizing her mistake.
  • Censored for Comedy: Dollar signs (and a cashier sound) cover up the mouths of whomever mentions the cost of the Beast-O 3 sneakers, but there is no way of knowing if the characters are talking about the price itself, a slang relating or referring to the price, or an actual swear. The way Adria reacts implies that they certainly aren't cheap.
  • Chekhov's Gun: The synthetic sea tile-made "gecko sneakers" Lunella made earlier prove useful during her battle with an evil-turned Bobby the Myth, allowing her to keep her grip on the floor and not be blown away by his powerful screams.
  • Drunk on Milk: After being humiliated in school for wearing bootleg sneakers, we get a Smash Cut showing Lunella at the rink, slurping down nacho cheese, apparently several jars of it, with Mimi having to cut her off.
  • Expy: Wish-Tar is a pretty transparent one of Zoltar
  • Failed a Spot Check: Lunella tries to make forgeries of the newest sneakers, but she becomes a laughingstock when her peers point out the design she based off of Devil's color.
  • Fell Off the Back of a Truck: After James wished for caviar, a truck full of the stuff just happens to break down in front of him.
  • How We Got Here: The episode kicks off with the battle between Moon Girl and Bobby the Myth, before cutting back two weeks prior to show the events that led up to it.
  • "Jump Off a Bridge" Rebuttal: When Lunella begs her mom for the Beast-O 3 sneakers, Adria asks her "if everyone started wearing bananas on their head, would you?" Amusingly enough, the first fad after the sneakers are caps with a banana logo on them.
  • Literal Genie: Lunella wishes for Bobby the Myth to have the "baddest piano in the world that can blow the roof off this place", so the piano he ends up with turns him evil with the desire to destroy the roller rink.
  • Loophole Abuse: Casey tried to use Moon Girl's image for some free stuff at one point, but says it was a no-go because her friend isn't part of the Avengers.
  • Mundane Utility: Mimi calls out Lunella for using her brilliant science to make a pair of bootleg sneakers. And while it does work, Devil's stylistic painting leads to their bootleg nature being very blatant.
  • Never My Fault: Lunella knew that the Beyonder's involvement always turns out bad but when she decides to use his powers to keep up with trends at school, she gets so overconfident that when it inevitably backfires she blows up at him for screwing things up. This severely hurts The Beyonder's feelings, especially when she wishes for him to leave.
  • Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: Lunella's desperate attempt to keep up with trends and become a trendsetter nearly destroys her family roller rink. She owns up to it and saves the day, but not before unwittingly blaming Beyonder for her mistake and forgetting about the dangers of his powers. She is forced to fix her mess herself after "wishing" him away.
  • Please Wake Up: Played for Laughs in The Stinger as James is left a sobbing wreck over Wish-Tar's destruction.
  • Tempting Fate: Lunella insists at the start that she's not interested in following trends. When she finds that she is the only one in school without the new sneakers, she does what she can to get a pair.
    • Whenever Lunella uses Beyonder to try and catch up to the trends, she is often a moment behind. When she finally gets the sneakers, everyone is wearing caps. After getting the cap, they start wearing bling necklaces.
